I was at this store months ago and I would absolutely agree with most of these one star reviews. There were multiple items that were overpriced among other issues. This visit, however, was a bit different. Not only did I find some really cute things at good prices, all customer service staff and management were kind and accommodating. I’m not sure if there’s a new manager or something, but there may be hope for this location yet.

Found a pair of dirty women’s underwear in the jeans I bought here today… what a disgusting & unsanitary store! So incredibly overpriced considering they got everything for free.

This value village has some goof stuff and is decently organized. I didn't buy any clothes so I didn't notice change rooms or lack there of. The front display case has things way over priced though, one video game mario sunshine was priced at $80.ridiculous, you can get that game from video game trader for $60 CIB, and it would be inspected, cleaned and confirmed working. I thought this was supposed to be a thrift store.

Theft. They do not test electronics. So when you purchase a monitor that does not work, take it home, and hook it up only to find the screen was actually shattered internally it is extremely frustrating. Especially when you bring it back and are told they do not do refunds on electronics…

So let me get this strait, they sell you a broken item they did not test, and when you try to return the broken item they tell you that you can donate the broke item you just bought for 20% off your next purchase…

So you are telling me to donate a broken item so you can steal someone else’s money… this business is rude and immoral. They pray off those less fortunate. You give them $1000 worth of stuff they will sell for $800 and they give you 2$ off…

I thought this was for those less fortunate not more fortunate.
Why should we donate to corporate greed?

They take your “donations” and then steal your money…

Probably the most expensive thrift store in Calgary. A lot of the books are 8-10 dollars each which is a lot more than the other Value Villages in Calgary. The CDs are all pretty much 3.99 or more, which is double every other thrift store. The clothes are all insanely priced too. Save your time and check out somewhere that actually is priced as a thrift store.

Selling multiple broken devices that should be in the trash. Everything in this store is heavily overpriced. Been here a handful of times and have never seen a single thing worth buying.
Worst Value Village in Calgary.

This value village was a very clean uncluttered location. As usual with this chain the used goods were mostly overpriced. Some staff members were calling loudly to each other across the store. All in all this is a decent thrift store with non thrift prices.

I only go looks at knick knacks and furniture items as you can't try on clothes. I bypass clothing now.

While its nice and clean at this location it's also very expensive. $80 for a pair of men's boots that were given to them for free! How low can you go? Truly disgusting business. Don't waste your time it's extremely over priced for everything and you'll leave disappointed.

Why is there no change rooms! I’ve literally seen people changing themselves and children in the halls! For a store that is 85% clothing, there is no excuse. Plus you can only exchange clothing! If I can’t even try something on and have to buy it to try it on at home only to hate it to then have to repeat until I find something. Sooo frustrating! But in all seriousness value village parents should not have to strip their children down in public to try something on. Your whole purpose is to provide affordable options for people in need and your not only making people uncomfortable but as a parent putting my child in a situation that could potentially be dangerous (this applies to adults too). This world is filled with surprises and I don’t need or want to hear of a situation that is easily avoided by your company providing change rooms which you have available in literally every other store.
On a side note, I don’t know who does the pricing but it is not consistent you can find a shirt from Walmart for 8$ (which is actual retail price) or go a rack down find the same shirt different colour for 5.99. Also for the love of god the toy section is such a mess! If items came in together they probably go together. I have seen toys I’ve donated that were all organized in the box with what parts go together only to see them in store with the truck here, the figurine that goes with it in a bag with 5 others and never to be found again the balls. Just put some effort in an make a toy complete.

Horrible place to work at, they fired me because they told me to stay home for the rest of the week when I was sick. The manager is also really disrespectful

Don’t be fooled by how huge this store is, the prices are the absolute worst I’ve ever seen from any value village.

It’s disgusting how much they hike their prices up everyday and stop people like you and me from being able to reasonably afford the things they got for free.

I don’t plan on shopping here in the future and I recommend people stop supporting value village as a whole. They are greedy and do not care about the people who have shopped with them for years. Go somewhere else and support small thrift stores instead, your money will be better spent there.

A pair of Nike Air Max’s for $130… come on this has to stop. Greedy for profit corporation.

Not enough people running checkout to accept cash. Good employee that helped me but bad on the company for customer service
08 July 2022 13:10
You know people are given you material for free right and you are selling it way more than the actual store is selling it it's not Value Village no more it's stealing Village and you say You're supposed to help people with small Revenue

Absolutely the worst value village ever! The worst costumer service I’ve ever come across. Everyone is so rude! I was actually pushed out of the way while looking at clothes from a staff member! Lol. All the tills were closed only self check outs were open so I couldn’t pay with cash. Sooooo over priced. This is a horrible place!

Gorgeous new store with plenty of space and self check outs. Unfortunately the lack of changing rooms and no return policy (no, I don’t want to exchange for another item within 14 days) means I will not shop here. With no change rooms, there are people undressing and trying things on all over the place, with clothing discarded all over the aisles. It’s a hot mess by afternoon. I feel sorry for the employees, who seem to spend most of their time cleaning up this mess.

Nice and clean but the prices are absolutely crazy high. I saw mugs I know were from the dollar store and here they were priced at $3.99. Books were priced high also. Why would anyone shop here?
06 June 2022 1:39
In this locations there are no fitting rooms at all. You have to buy it and then you are allowed to exchange for something else if it doesn’t fit. There should be a refund in this case.
Also mostly self checkout.
There was a helpful person, Steve, I believe. Because of his great customer service they will get the.

Convenient but the prices are just way too high.

Dont expect to find much of any deals as everything is like $20 less than just buying it off someone in Kijiji.

We are talking $30 on nearly every pair of shoes and jeans, anything that isn't Walmart garbage is $20+

Y'all got all your stuff for FREE.
