The prices are good but can’t try on anything and they do no returns so it’s always never worth it to buy unless u are sure about your size and sure you love the item so always make sure to buy less even when u don’t intend on returning items
Super grateful with the lady employee and security man and also the person who found my debit card and turned it into security. Plus very good stuff there! Thanks so much God bless you all!
I came to shop but forgot my mask. I was hesitant of going inside and ask for one but i did so anyways. I politely asked the security guy on the door for a mask, he said NO you should bring your own! I was expecting either a 1 cent mask and in turn ill buy at least $20 worth of products in the store. Or at-least a Sorry we do not offer masks. Very rude interaction, will not come back to this location.
Prices have gotten absolutely out of hand! You guys receive your inventory for free and you mark up your prices astronomically. The Audacity for you guys to charge upwards of $15 on used H&m shirts is ridiculous.you cannot find anything Nike for less than $30. I have seen items priced upwards of 80 and 100 dollars, items that would have been cheaper to buy brand new. Value Villiage should be ashamed of themselves.
The overall experience was ok. But it was just really busy they only had one person working the cashier so it was a huge line up. It was annoying having to wait longer when they could of had two cash registers working when it was that busy.
The manager on shift tonight was inflexible and really inconsiderate. Wouldn’t go there again (It’s the people who make the store, feel sorry for those working under her direction. Prices at VV have escalated recently and to not be able to exchange goods (and I’m not even talking about returning) is unreasonable and bad customer service (
Black bird security guard bothering customers, I recently have been going here and this guy that works the door follows me and other people. He doesn’t stop people from stealing, He doesn’t walk around the store.
When speaking with other customers they tell me this place literally is the go to place for people to steal, Sad thing is this effects other businesses in the area.
The manager seems likes a nice guy he usually tells people to keep masks on.
If you're lucky you will find exactly what you wanted and five more things for the same price as only that first thing would've cost if you had gone to a different store
Whyte Ave Value Village, great place for Halloween stuff, assorted home good and clothing, I think Walmart may not give the same stuff to each Value Village they own, I don't find the best finds at this location. I find the Value Village in sherwood Park, St Albert and Mayfield have the Best when it comes to practically everything. The Whyte Ave location was a Safeway decades ago, and I believe the building maybe harming the articles within due to black mold.
I used to really like this place until the last time the guy on the till refused to sell me my purchase because he wanted to have it. After that insult this location will NEVER see my business again.
Overall a pretty decent value village location. The items available are in good condition, prices are fair. There is not much for infant and toddler clothes or toys at this location.
No fitting rooms even with all restrictions lifted and the cashier just crumpled and the the clothes into a pallet bag that you have to pay $0.20 for. In what world does a paper bag cost that much?
I used to climb in to the donation box here to hide from the police and to keep warm on winter nights. I dont squat in that area now and havent for years but i never forgot those days. I miss it
I quite like this Value Village. It's usually well-organized and had a good selection of items available for sale. I've found some great things here, including books, clothing and even some furniture. Their prices are usually reasonable, but like any thrift store, can be a bit hit or miss.
Greetings. I tend to drop off a lot of items here for donations. Staff are friendly and polite. Also do shop around inside and have found some great bargains. Is worth looking through if you have the time.
I went there to look for some pants. It was packed. As I looked through the pants I could barely breath because there was so much dust coming off the clothes. I felt like it was impossible to socially distance. And when I found something I liked it was so expensive. I couldn't belive it, the item was clearly well used and it was $18? The stuff there is donated.
The only thing I liked was the nice security guard and staff. But I'm not rating them I'm rating the store.
Love value village. This location is a toss-up between granny clothes, and hipster clothes, you never know what you are going to get.also, good luck if you go there mid-day on a weekday, there will be very slow moving people taking their time in the aisles.
I went there at your store this at 82 avenue past 11: 00 am and Got some stuff. When i was going pay i forgot my wallet at my house so i tell the casher young guy.that i will come back for the stuff i will just get my wallet.but when i came back to pay it was gone he just put it just besised his countet. I was so upset.
Over priced for donated used clothes lol. The manger Haley is not helpful, she’s quite rude. Something with holes and stains all over should not be priced at $21.00. But Haley is a manager and knows everything about pricing lol. For a manger at Value Village this girl sure acts like she’s above everyone else.you work at “Value Village” get a better attitude. Never shopping at this Branch again.
I enjoy shopping at value village so I might be biased. The stores cleanliness is good, the lighting is okay, but the windows are blocked a lot by racks of clothes, so more unnatural light is required for shopping. The variety of objects is vast and you always find something you forgot you needed. Having to call someone for bathroom use is extremely frustrating especially when you need it ASAP. Cash out is mostly painless, except my last visit was an unpleasant experience and I'm pretty sure the cashier cursed in her own language because I asked for a price check.
I know there's a lot of swell value villages across Edmonton, but have to say that this one is fun! Always well stocked toys and books.lots of misc and the clothes are fairly well organized, even in the kids section. Good job I say!
Store is a big mess and.remember folks, Value Village isn't a charity! They make money off of selling your stuff, and they're a private business. Donate to the Bissell Centre instead.
Some of the employees need an attitude check, I believe companies have a " leave your personal problems at home before you come to work" policy. I don't care if you're having a bad day, fake it and don't be rude.
Best vv in Edmonton. Cashiers are friendly and always parking. Not much value anymore though. Their prices are significantly higher than they should be
Staff is friendly. Small parking lot. Clothing aisles are well maintained. Large store, good inventory. Some store areas are unorganized-books, furniture, oversize items.
They sell used, donated clothes for prices that are the same or higher than brand new clothes. For this reason, I avoid shopping at value village as much as possible
Great Value Village, a lot of variety and easy to shop at, due to the fact that they are organize and the staff was also friendly. I enjoyed shopping there and I found some pretty good stuff and in really good shape at a good price as well. Thank you!
This is my third favourite Value Village in/near Edmonton. It’s a smaller thrift shop but it’s generally quite clean & I always enjoy their home goods section. They also have a decent amount of Plus Size clothing which is nice although the style can be a bit more mature. They also have a good purse/bag section which is nice.
Have shopped at many value villages lately. This one has a horrible parking lot to park in to start off with. Go inside hoping to find some deals. Many many items way over priced. If I can purchase an item brand new for a dollar or two more kind of defeats the purpose of getting a used deal. Staff was not very friendly did only interact with 2 though maybe the others were friendlier. Did find a couple things but nothing compared to some of the other ones I have shopped at due to pricing.
Superb. In terms of order of price, there's the Dollar Store, there's Value Village, then there's Walmart. Value village is the undisputed Walmart of discount stores, you can find almost anything here, mostly clothing related but other stuff too.
Even when short-staffed, the employees are always very friendly and helpful! They've been understanding of unique problems and did all they could to help me out when the accessible fitting room was occupied for a long time by someone who could have used a regular fitting room.
Unfortunately, the main doors are not currently accessible, and I have to turn around, walk backwards, and push the doors open with my posterior to get in and out with my walker. This desperately needs to be fixed.
These are good people, if you NEED something and I mean NEED it, they are more than happy to give it to you, shockingly they arent as greedy or evil as goodwill is, recommend 100%
It's a good store but some of the crew have attitudes sometimes, The big fat women who she is as supervisor is terrible, The other supervisors are really wonderful people
The security guard accused me of shoplifting so I let him look thru my bag and when he found nothing I made him apologize to me in front of the crowd of people he needs to realize not all of us youth are homeless bums
The store is at an excellent location, the prices are fairly decent. The finds are lot less hit and more miss. That being said it is what it is; I understand the nature of the business but the location could certainly use a refresh cosmetically however it's a stalwart in the community. It's helped me when I'm down and a lot others as well. I hope it will continue to survive for years to come. I love my neighborhood Value Village, even if my star rating doesn't reflect thusly.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The stock is always rotating and organized. I always enjoy searching through the merchandise and finding awesome deals. Last time I visited, I found an overhead projector that is on nearly mint condition! There is always something for everyone!
