One of my favourite Value Village locations in the city. With a constant turnover of new items, friendly and accessible staff, and a rare likelyhood to leave empty-handed, it has become my go-to location.
A helpfull parking tip: park at the back of the building for lighter traffic and more space to load items into your vehicle.
Like this place so much! It's clean, bright and all items are properly handled and marked. Here you can find clothes and other goods in great condition for lowest prices. I usually spent a lot time here for casual shopping but once I find a good item I am happy with a good deal (quality and price). Recently I have bought a 7.5 ft pre-lit Christmas tree for less than $90 in really good shape while new one like this cost more than $500.
I found what I needed. The line for the checkout started to grow and they immediately called more employees to man them. I love attentive management and great workers.
Managers there are ridiculously unprofessional. They actually don't know what they're doing. It's laughable at how much their prices have increased. Don't waste your money on items in bad condition with a high price tag in this place. Needs a serious Management replacement.
Over priced very old clothes. Yes it's huge so you may find great things but kinda dirty and just way overpriced. It's no longer what it once was. At least with WINS its clean, well priced AND supporting a great non profit. Value Village is only about profit now.
Of all the value villages in Calgary, the one I seem to have the best luck with is the one near Chinook. However, prices are very high.
Thriftopia is just down the block and everything is basically $3; so, that's a better deal than VV, but VV is bigger. I recommend signing up for emails on VV so that you get notified of members 50% off sales, because then the prices are good.
One thing to keep in mind is that VV is a for-profit business; so, if you can shop at a non-profit thrift store or local consignment store (benefiting local small business) that is certainly preferable. Anyway, every so often I go here and find gems. Happy thrifting!
The line ups are always insane here I don't understand it. They need an express lane, I've left this location twice now after needed one or two items and the line was insanely long.
Open your change rooms already. People have a right to shop intelligently in your store, so let us try items on, or offer full refunds. Severely disappointed
My favourite Value Village in Calgary! Not only does this place have a large selection of quality items, but the employees are super friendly. Always my go to thrift store! Plus, I love the new marketing focusing on 0% waste style!
Way over priced. Very disappointed, especially when they receive everything for free? When the clothing is only a few dollars less than brand new, really the administration should be ashamed of themselves!
This location is alright. It's a bit out of the way but it's close enough to Chinook. I suspect they get some good donations but I wasn't blown away the last few times.
I worked here for a few months. I enjoyed the work, my colleagues & supervisors and the customers, but the management team was the worst I’ve worked for. They would go out of their way to embarrass and shame employees, and at times were straight up vindictive.
Do not work here if Ashley is still the manager. Perhaps the worst human being I’ve worked with.
Went to exchange some clothes as they didn't fit. Originally used a coupon for 40% of dresses and when I returned the dresses and tried to use the coupon and the supervisor told me it's not his problem that the coupon doesn't work and had to pay full price. Which was about 20.00$ more. He was very ignorant and I will not be back. His name was Atu! You need to brush up on your customer service skills. Not happy
Great selection for denim; exchange within 14 days is reasonable during this covid stupidity; floor staff was knowledgeable and cashier friendly. I'll return for summer clothes
Clean and very efficient I really like the changes I was in there post covid and was there today I really hope you keep it like it is now even when covid is done great staff I'll be back
I have found lately that although you can get some good finds the prices for used items here are outrageous. I have been an avid shopper here for some time and have dialed back how often i visit here.
Big in size which is nice.over price on alot of things this is suppose to be for people in need I don't think people can afford alot of the things they have priced at
Always fun to see what you can find, but the prices are surprisingly high given that most value village stock is donated. Can't imagine the profit margins.also given that cheap clothing is much easier to come by, value village might want to drop prices lower than the average $7.99 for a shirt.
I have to say that how can a place like this be bad. Anything or place that recycles and reuses and keeps stuff out of our landfills has got to be a good thing. Plus, the prices are so frikin cheap. The have good finds if you go on a regular basis. New is not always better
YOU CHARGE 10 CENTS FOR A PAPER BAG. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? AND TO PASS IT OFF AS DOING GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. YOU DO REALIZE THAT PAPER BAGS HAVE A BIGGER CARBON FOOTPRINT THAN PLASTIC RIGHT?
And by the way, your cashier is brutal.so slow and rude.
This location has some high end stuff, & sometimes you pay nothing. I found a Gucci watch for a little over $5.00. The next day I went back & another Gucci was $40.00. Either way you can't lose.
Whoever prices items at this location has his head up his arse. Honestly ridiculous, it’s a second hand store and your asking the same prices as a retail store that has brand new clothing. Don’t waste your time here just to get ripped off. Shoes that shouldn’t be on the shelves that are beyond dirty and damaged.go get your self a brand new outfit somewhere else for the same price. Won’t be returning here. Also is a bit dirty feeling, really gross vibes while shopping here.
Great First Time Experience Midnapore & 58 Ave SW location
Best place for great value. The store is well-organized, brightly lit and clean. Highly recommend for ample selection of gently-used clothing at a very reasonable price.
Go to place for used items. Sometimes a bit of hit and miss for what you might be looking for. Better than average selection but getting pricey nowadays.
To expensive especially when there's four liquidation stores a block away. Selling new item at a lower price. Or they are twice the price of Kijiji. When it come to furniture and instruments
