Good establishment for new comers, students, citizens, seniors. Best management. Ishak Kharadi 21221027337838.

They had a nice selection of ugly christmas sweaters - was exactly what i needed for a holiday party

I just wish there were change rooms, since you can’t return clothing.if you get the wrong size or it didn’t look right when you try it on at home, you’re just out of luck i guess.
17 December 2023 0:52
The store was well organized, plenty of selection and some very unique items. A great shopping experience!
14 November 2023 11:14
Great place for donation. Best place for the people who don't want to spend more money for clothing.
31 July 2023 2:07
Prices are becoming targetted and ridiculous. I saw a Colombia jacket and a wool blanket (yes it was a nice Bay one) for 200$ each! Why are we being gouged at a place that gets their product for free?
31 December 2021 11:42
Interesting place but I find lots of things are not that cheap considering it is a second hand store.
31 December 2021 9:47
I feel bad for the staff here, this store needs better management. I wasn't even able to get assistance and information I need over the phone so I could decide if it was worth it to come into the store as a disabled and high risk customer. With covid happening it is crucial to be able to help customers over the phone to help reduce unnecessary visits, but nobody was able to leave their post to check for what I needed. The staff is kind but management seriously lacking.
20 December 2021 9:37
Great prices. Friendly staff. You can find so many items there. Great place to browse around for a couple hours and find things you didn't know you needed.
14 December 2021 21:23
Got some stuff for our new kitchen. The prices were ridiculously low. Very nice workers. I definitely recommended value village.
10 December 2021 16:07
Always a hit or miss with this location. Organization isn't the best either but the staff are very friendly.
06 December 2021 13:18
Lots of variety of small household items like dishes, pots, pans, decor, etc.reasonably priced and lots of varieties.
04 December 2021 4:46
Staff is WHACK! An older female staff member refused us the change room even though it was not busy, and the change room was empty! They claimed to be using it for storage but there was more than enough room to change and i would have just been grateful to be behind the closed door.but instead this woman insisted that we just change in the general area surrounded by all of the other customers! If i could have afforded to buy all of the clothes and take them home and return what doesn’t fit i would have been fine doing so, but isn’t an option.so instead i had to do what the woman suggested and try everything on with a large presence of male side eyes and weird looks! Thanks value village, i feel violated.
25 November 2021 6:09
Probably the better of the value villages in the City but every Value Village I've been to recently is charging ridiculous amounts for their used clothes that have tears in the holes and pockets in seams that are coming apart I thought that value Village was a not-for-profit
20 November 2021 6:41
Very clean bright and organized store. I had not been in one of these stores for quite some time, but was pleased with what i saw and how i was received and responded to. Thank you!
15 November 2021 12:32
No bags to put the stuff I bought.had a blazer in my cart but when I got home it was nowhere to be found. They want us to pay 2.50 for a bag that place is expensive to boot do t like
15 November 2021 12:25
I always find great deals whenever I visit the location on 34th ave. The staff are also very friendly and helpful which is an added bonus.
22 October 2021 18:43
Used to be so affordable. For selling stuff you get for free you would think you would try to keep prices low
18 October 2021 23:58
No fitting rooms, no returns, and high prices. Impossible for me to shop if I can’t even try on the clothes.
16 October 2021 1:53
Got some great deals. A few books for my son cheap, some pants for me cheap but. What is it? !? Do you guys run out of patience when it comes to the kids clothes. Not sorted to boys and girls, and then only sized as small, med, lg. Lost my patience trying to look through the kids clothes! Oh and they ran out of paper bags, but they offer for you to buy a bag!
06 October 2021 1:43
Value village was not to busy a lot of space for a person to look Around for treasures and everyone wore their masks
28 September 2021 23:13
Came just before closing and organized and found tons of deals! The staff were above and beyond! We came at end of day and our cashier started directing other staff to help out and it was beautifully seamless! Told her she did an amazing job especially being busy in the store.
23 September 2021 11:02
Staff are usually always willing to help and the amount of clothing, books, DVDs, housewares etc are second to none and prices are usually pretty cheap
22 September 2021 0:18
Super grubby. I have never found anything here to buy. All product is grubby and not displayed nice
19 September 2021 20:18
Prices are outrageous. $16.49 for a pair of men's small sweatpants that are 20 yesrs worn out, used when you can get brand new Fila, Bench or Adidas sweatpants for $14.99 from Costco.even kids clothes at old navy has nearly doubled over the last 5 years.
19 September 2021 8:05
Cloth prices were extremely jacked up after re-opening, majority used t-shirts are valued at $10 and more where you can buy brand new one from winners or Marshall for ~ $12, same thing for shorts or sweaters, jackets.etc
Remember guys this place is made out of the donations and generosity of the people. I'm so annoyed to see people being greedy and looking for more and more profit from their $0 spending cost!
15 September 2021 9:16
Gotta remember that most of what they sell are generously donated items, the electronics section is all antique stuff as well as outdated styles of clothing.

However, some days you might get lucky and find name brand stuff for very very cheap. I got a decent ikea bowl and plate dinner set for a total of $6.

Great for the average thrift shopper
10 September 2021 22:42
This store is dirty and not well kept. Even for a second hand store the items are dirty and not displayed well. Will not be returning.
07 September 2021 13:14
If you dont mind supporting a millionaire CEO and paying more than 25-30 dollars for clothes they got for free and possibly not donating the clothes they can't sell to third world countries like the said they do then this place has an amazing variety lf clothes/shoes/videos/music/housewares/toys/furniture/books/accessories/bedding/ and sometimes pet supplies. Sometimes make up and all genders clothing! I would feel better slending money there if value village used the money to pay better wages for the employees as they are wonderful!
03 September 2021 9:08
I'm sad to say I will no longer shop at Value Village since you took your fitting rooms out and do not offer a full refund program. I think it's careless and greedy. I have been a long time customer, before it was cool. But I find that only about 1 out of 30 items I pick fit the way I want it to. So to not be able to try things on and to only be able to exchange for items for yet another most likely improper fit sounds like the urban definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
So I am very disappointed and sad to say that I will lose my stress relief afternoon shopping experience and stop shopping there until you guys bring back your fitting rooms. Or until I find an equally suitable competitor that still has fitting rooms.
Take care, thank you for the years of shopping.

Have found lots of gold here, but it is extremely popular. I sift through the store quickly almost every week & find something good every third time or so. The staff is friendly & it is kept pretty clean.
16 August 2021 20:06
Loreen is the sweetest and most helpful employee. It’s always so nice to shop at this location and be welcomed.
13 August 2021 16:41
Far too expensive. The only reason I go is because of a lack of options. At least the staff is friendly.
13 August 2021 12:21
Why have the prices at Value Village gone up 3 times since the covidd started. The articles could be cleaned, smells and most of them are not worth the asking price pretty beat up.
11 August 2021 18:17
Things have gotten so expensive over the last several years. I loved going here for great prices on clothing but you might as well buy new. All the thrift stores are getting brutal at pricing.
11 August 2021 8:24
Great household items, books, dvds, and various items on stock. The clothes are ok too for all the people who need them.
03 August 2021 2:45
I purchased a large quantity of coffee mugs here. The clerk at the till, Yisan, did a good job of carefully wrapping every one of the them!
01 August 2021 2:54
They have almost everything, even if you want or or clothes, or jewelry, is clean and you can change the clothes if it doesn't fit in your body, so why not going if is not expensive and in this times we need to save money. Thanks to other people who gives good things that them don't use.so is an excellent alternative. And when you can you can donate good things also.like the life is
04 July 2021 20:43
Stoire should be renamed rip off village. Items costing more than they would new. Others the same as if new. People donate to help community buy things they couldnt otherwise afford. Rip off villiage gets people's stuff for free. They charge full price as if new. This is wrong. Donations no longer help community just line some rich jerks pockets. I won't support this disgusting business. Dont shop here or donate.
26 June 2021 7:24
Parking lot is a bit of a mess, but the staff has always been very friendly when we go. The store is typically clean and there’s lots of variety!
21 June 2021 11:57
Always love coming here! Employees are polite and all around have great experiences here. We donate often and the drop off process is quick and efficient.
21 July 2019 17:24
This place is awesome for everything you need. But they are not cheap anymore compared before. The word Value from the trade name is no longer holds a reputation. The price is sometimes more than the price of a brand new.and having the same price as the new one. When I donated my items and eventually check it on sale they put so pricy amount. Which is no longer acceptable. It needs to be cheap than expected. Because they got it for free. I hope management see and check.they are starting to be greedy for the price they put on. Just way so much.
21 July 2019 9:11
Excellent service great items to be found at this location.
I am very happy with the experience shopping at Value Village South-side Edmonton at 34th Ave.and 101 Street.
Thank you for having a great stuff and great items to choose from.
Thank you all Staff for their hard work - organized the items on racks,
and have all items sorted out the way that it is easy to find.

ZuZanna.
19 July 2019 1:04
I always find outfits here for my needs but, the return policy is difficult and I find some pricing is outrageous.
16 July 2019 20:28
OVERPRICED FOR A THRIFT STORE. I found a Nike track jacket that I liked and it cost $18! Might as well buy a new one.
04 July 2019 7:32
Loads of stuff little pricey but usually got what you want need to have prices lower than new thanks.
16 June 2019 21:09
A big Value Village! I was looking through their kitchen and home items and there was great selection to pick from and good quality. There's always going to be some lesser quality items at a second hand store, but the overall quality was worth the visit in my opinion.
16 June 2019 15:51
There seems to be competition building with other thrift stores and prices are going up. All and all still a place too get a deal.
15 June 2019 1:08
Value Village has higher than average prices in comparison to other thrift stores, but the large selection almost makes up for it.
18 May 2019 21:06
It has good quality staff for a thrift store especially the clothes. There's a wide variety of items including kitchen utensils, electronics, shoes, bags, kids toys, household items among others. Prices are fair too.
However, they could increase the number of changing rooms.
09 May 2019 0:42
This value village has a huge selection of home decor and furniture - from glass vases to curtains. The clothes selection large too, but I haven't ventured in their yet. One star off because when I bought a large fragile vase they did not handle it with the greatest care and it chipped a bit after it was handed to me and I already paid.
12 February 2019 11:09
Wish I could give it no stars. Value village makes me sick with there prices. For donated items. It's disgusting. I understand wage costs and extra expenses. But seriously.
27 January 2019 6:13
Seen a (not so great) painting for $80. Stuff is given for $0, and they have the greed to charge ridiculous prices on almost everything. Many things are more expensive here then they are brand new.
11 January 2019 5:50
This place is dirty and too expensive! I feel sorry for the people that buy necessities that they need at this store. Someone needs to open up a place where things are clean and priced appropriately!
10 January 2019 6:48
Didn't have a huge selection of Christmas decor which is what we came in for but overall probably one of the better VV's in the city.
22 December 2018 13:20
Always fun to grab a coffee and browse the ilses for nothing you need, but always find something to buy! Great selection of books! Friendly staff. I find it relaxing! Also great place to donate the items you aren't using.
20 October 2018 3:50
Well organized, not expensive and great deals for clothing if you are in a budget, at the same time you can find that special old item or book you were looking for.
And for Halloween you can find something fun.
The parking lot can be a little hectic at times, always open for donations and you can get a discount card, everytime you donate your items you will get points toward a good discount UP to 50% off in your next shopping at the V
V.locations.
Have fun shopping at the V. V.stores.
Highly recomended.
Cheers.

You won't be finding any deals here for collectibles. The clothing was not priced too badly compared to some value villages.the store layout was ok and it was one of their more modern stores.the staff was friendly. But I went looking for collectibles and things were priced way out there.you can see they go through the items with a fine tooth comb to get maximum price.not good for bargain hunters.cabbage patch doll 24.99.old ninja turtle puzzle from the 90s they wanted nearly $30 for that. They did have a large cookbook section if you like cookbooks.video games were really lame titles like shamu and dance dance revolution. The toy department was complete modern junk and some mc donalds toys, Collectibles NO Clothes YES, Also location was incredibly hard to get out of you can't get back on Gateway boulevard from this place infact you have to drive east on 34th Ave and turn around somewhere because there were no lights to get out of the place. I found that to be irritating.

PS I also found a used adult coloring book for $2.99 when on the back it said $3 Dollarama - on top of it there were a few pages colored in.come on!
27 September 2018 4:29
I use to really like this location until I bought an e-reader that didn't pass the plug in turn on test that Value Village says they do to all their electronic items. I went to return it the next day (less than 24 hours) with the reciept and all the pieces they sold it to me and was told they wouldn't refund my money, even though it didn't pass the test they're suppose to do to all electronics before they sell them.

The supervisor I dealt with (Stephanie) was very rude and hostile towards me, cutting me off several times as I tried to explain I understood their policy but the item should have never made it to the floor in the first place under their own standards. She also said I shouldn't shop there if I didn't want to buy items that don't work.

The entire experience was some of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in retail. I understand return policies but there are always exceptions, particularly of the reason for the return is the store's fault. When I insisted on talking to a manager if she wouldn't give a refund I got my refund.

I guess don't buy from this store if you have the audacity to expect that items you buy should actually work, or at the very least pass the plug in turn on test that Vallue Village says they do on their items.
27 September 2018 3:51
It was ok just there was a lot stuff that was kind of random. But a few gems among the rubble. Pretty nice.
25 September 2018 7:06
I love coming her but things are expensive to be honest. An I know they have to pay their Bill's, staffs, etc but still expensive. I do shoppinghere and donate as well but overall, good location, big size and clean.

I giving 3star cos things are expensive here.
04 September 2018 14:11
My goodness! You'd think the clothes here are brand new by the high prices they charge. It's as if the stuff wasn't donated/free in the first place.
02 September 2018 9:21
Prices too high, yeah I stop in a lot and I have left with purchases now and then but more often I find myself questioning why used things are more expensive than New
12 August 2018 0:14
They re-sell your stuff for profit but they will take any kind of donation and staff are really friendly.
11 August 2018 12:06
Bough papasan chair at 11am today. And go home get my truck.when I came back this afternoon to pick them up, I saw young couple at cashier with my papasan chair. I fight with them for the chair that I already paid. They resell my chair! Jenny the supervisor decided to give the chair to those couple. And she is not really nice to me. She said this is my mistake because I'm not pick it up within 2 hours. They never explain to me that sold item only can hold for 2 hours. Because the day before I bough another furniture and pick them up few hours after I purchased and have no problem. This is pretty upsetting! They resell my chair!
09 August 2018 11:03
Prices are way to high, any other second hand store is better.couldn't get a pair of used Jean's for under 20$
