Stopped in to look for candle votives. Noticed a laundry sign in the art section that was 12.99 when you can buy it brand new from the dollar store for $4 or $5. Stop with the price gouging.
It's good but if you wanna exchange your items remember to keep your tags for everything but they have a great inventory so if you need different items and clothing I highly recommend it
The overall layout of the store is Good. But we left without buying anything just because the items we're are extremely overpriced compared to Ontario/Quebec
I wandered around then decided I would ask to use the rest room. When I asked the associate and the manager for the key I was greeted rudely, then I was ignored. After I said I was going to lodge a complaint the manager then without saying a word handed the key to associate. Still refusing to give her name when requested.
After I used the restroom as the current situation insisted on it. I was leaving the store about to drop it because it’s not usually worth it I’m sure she just had a long day. I’m then berated by the manager as I head to the door yelling “ oh you still want to make a complaint!? ” As she proceeds to yell it again and hand me card. So I once again request her name and she can’t be bothered to turn around and tell it to me clearly.
This entire encounter is avoided with just some human decency and some polite words. I will be emailing value village directly as well. This is not a professional manner for anyone, but especially someone put in a manager position.
I'm a fat guy so i never really find any clothes that fit me, but whenever I go here I always end up leaving with some cool books or magazines. Great place, great prices.
This is a smaller VV. FYI, the Halloween selection is really small compared to other VV's. However, we found some real good gems there that I wouldn't normally find at other VV's. So, definitely worth it if you want a different VV experience. Will be going back.
I had been looking for a certain shirt for ages and was able to find it here. This value village is definitely smaller than most I've been to, but either way it was very cosy and easy to find my way around
Found some deals. Glad there was a security guard as one man was screaming and yelling at nothing. Evidently mental health issues but security handled it very quickly.
Just another greedy location. Charging ebay prices for everything from video games to children's books. Highly discouraged people to donate to these corporate greedy thrift shops. In fact, the only thing I donate to them are all the broken electronics I have.
If you're lucky you will find exactly what you wanted and 5 more things you didn't know you wanted all for half the price the first thing should've been, love value village
I go shopping at VV every tuesday with my mom because she is a senior. She always buys my son a bunch of toys and clothes with her discount. This location is always the most fun to go to because we find so many great things!
Great place to find hidden treasures. Some things are overpriced for used but overall good place to shop when on a budget or just trying to save money.
It was ok.prices r high for a thrift store. I know brand new plastic utensils at Dollarama are the same price as Value Village. Selling items like pots and pans wit lids separately is dumb. Sheets sets.the fitted the flat n pillow cases separately is dumb.juss to make more money. I've been to better thrift stores and this one is ok.barely I did find a few items I like.
I had 2 items that were identical. One was priced much higher than the other. I enquired if I could purchase both for the lower price. I would have accepted a simple "no". The "supervisor" woman came over and attempted to mark up the lower priced item to match the higher priced one. When I informed her that doing so was illigal she became irate and had me escorted out of the store. I would never accept such derogatory treatment at even the most expensive stores, but when it's at a store that is just selling other people's used garbage, that is beyond words.
It's what you would expect from a thrift store on Edmonton's 118th Avenue. On my last visit here, as I stood outside waiting for my Uber to to arrive, a police car slowly drives up to where I'm standing. Using hand gestures only, the cop asks us to go get the guy who had just slipped past us and into the store. Like he wanted to talk to him? Uhmm.like you want me to go in there and tell him that the police are outside and wanted me to let you know he'd like you to go out there to see him. I feel like that wouldn't go over well?
Anyways, I guess that's not a review of Value Village itself.but just an FYI regarding the overall feel of the neighborhood if you weren't aware. ️
I think it's pretty good but it is for profit organization.lots of selection good price.the only non profit organization is Bissel center.you can donate whichever place you want it is important
Cashier was a con artist. Was told I would get 50% off my purchase if I signed up for a membership. Changed his mind after I signed up and gave my contact info. Not impressed.
This location is a little smaller than some of the others, but usually a great variety of items. Fair bit of parking although it is a little bit tight if you have a larger vehicle.
Won't be returning anytime soon if at all to this particular location. I bought plates and bowls and was carrying a backpack. Usually I've always seen them wrap delicate things with newspaper, this one didn't! Lady was also rude to me and said oh well we don't have newspaper, not helpful at all Useless location no help on the floor. And I feel dirty like I have bugs crawling on me when I shop there. Never again.
Value Village will not be getting anymore business from me! Rude! Unhelpful! I was sick and lost over 35 lbs. Nothing fits! I don't know what she to buy.
Tonight I slipped in the ice covered parking lot at value village. I managed to get up and limp around the store as I was in need of a few items. When I walked in I spoke to a man who was employed with the company and told him that I slipped and injured myself, and his brief snide comment was "its going to get worse tomorrow never mind next week! " As I walked through the store my leg began to stiffen, and gradually become sore. So tomorrow I will be seeing a doctor if the pain continues and go from there.
Value village. DE ICE YOUR DAMN PARKING LOT. GOD FORBID IF I WAS A SENIOR CITIZEN!
Very Great Deals, Seniors Discount on tuesdays, cause of civid you can't try the clothes on. If it's pants know your waist size an pant length Cause I'll be on the tag from value village.
I baught a bunch of stuff from here and they didn't have any bags for it so they attempted to fill a couple small black garbage bags and I had to carry everything to a cab and to my apartment and when I was reaching for my keys I had to set stuff unbagged on the slushy ground. It was a crazy hectic ordeal.
It is a necessity to have value village in my lifestyle more downs then up unless going o vail-u vii-lauge think french when saying that make it sound fancy lol
Cashier was friendly and easy to talk to while other staff were rude and judgmental Prices could be lower as they are getting the clothes for free like goodwill.js
