Second time I ordered on line, a service that is promote and offer and they didn’t make the food. Had to wait 20min. Again! Not cool. Getting tired of the poor service here. Across the street is a pizza joint called Matador that makes better pizzas for more money. But it’s worth it to not wait 20min for your approved online order. Also $30 for a pepperoni pizza is what I’m paying with tax. Seems they think they are matador with there prices. Man that’s ridiculous. Jim and Maria we’re way better proprietors.
Ordered a pepperoni pizza, frist time ordering from this establishment and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza, the cheese is definitely king here. What was a let down was the pepperoni, definitely not a top shelf product, Maybe for a sub but not on a artisan pizza. Change the pepperoni to a local made dry aged pepperoni stick type deal and ditch the lunch meat.next stop on the flavor elevator top floor!
What can I say about this place? If I could give it 10 stars I would I’ve been going here for over 30 years now and the quality and consistency is amazing. I highly recommend the baked spaghetti it is fantastic.
Great pizza and service. Pizza is filling! Stuffed and cooked just right. Had a wonderful conversation with the staff. Would recommend and will return.
This was my first time. The pizzas are filling, loaded down and great taste. The owner is an awesome man. I will be back! I am back and today they were help with a fund raiser for Kids Cancer Care.what a great team and great food!
This has to be oneof the Best pizzas in North East Calgary. Its a small shop that delivers big bold flavors! Everytime im in Calgary I get a large Pizza. Calgary go support the little guy who makes the best pizza that i have ever had!
I'm not in this area of town quite often, but finally got the chance to try out Varsity Pizza a few weeks ago. And now I know there's a reason why this place pops up on Reddit every time there's a "Best Pizza in Calgary" thread. Delicious pie, friendly staff, reasonably priced.
Been coming here for lunch since I went to F. E. Osbourne jr high in 2012,10 years later and I still find myself swinging by often for a quick couple slices of pizza, or a sub!
You can always count on Varsity for great Calgary style pizza with a slight twist. I can never quite put my finger on it but it seems like the very top layer of cheese almost has a like crispy texture which really brings out the flavor of the cheese. The quality is consistent as well, every time I order, the pizza is excellent. Always a bonus to support a small, independent business instead of a national chain. I have never tried their subs but I certainly intend to. I strongly suggest that you try Varsity the next time that you are craving pizza in NW Calgary.
Varsity has been providing both amazing pizza and service to our local HSAA union group at Foothills hospital for a number of years now (and during the pandemic as well). Thank you for your amazing food! And service! We love you!
Tried this place on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! Ordered the Greek pizza with green peppers. Great crust and generous amount of toppings! The sauce tasted great I only wish there was more added. The cheese was the perfect amount and nice and crispy! Go, go now!
