I waited for over half an hour, and no one addressed this while I waited. After the wait, I was seen by Dr. Kurian for 2 minutes. His demeanour was impatient, like he couldn't wait to leave the room. He actually didn't take his hand off the doorknob, for the entire visit! I never was asked to sit in the treatment chair, just stayed in my coat in the corner. SO ODD! After a short exchange, leaving 2 of my 4 questions unanswered, he left! I was stunned! I spoke to reception on the way out, letting them know that I was under-served. Nothing was offered by reception. I did ask her to ensure my complaint got into the right hands, but it's now 10 days later and no follow-up.
This is a clinic where they either do not care, or are lacking in people skills and training.
Do not book this place if you would like to have medical issues addressed. If you like "hand-on-the-doorknob" medical treatment, this is the place for you!

Very clean and welcoming clinic, Sausan was very professional and caring, she listened to my needs and suggested treatment options and at home follow up skincare, she explained each step in my treatment, the heated treatment bed was a nice relaxing touch, highly recommend this clinic!

I was referred here after I had my baby because I got weird hormonal stretch marks on my leg. I got told from my OB it was caused from trauma from my c section. Where my skin became very thin and anything touching such as clothes hurts. The dr here came in looked at me for like two seconds and left. They suggested laser stretch mark removal. But it’s expensive and not affordable. No other options were given. The doctor didn’t talk to me at all. I felt very uncomfortable after. Left me feeling gross. It’s been 2 years and the only thing I found to this day to make wearing pants tolerable is using barrier cream.

The reception never answers the phone. I have to go in to book my appointments and that is why they get 3 stars.

The nurses made my experience good, the doctor I saw probably 5 minutes total in my 6 months of treatment there. He didn’t even know my weight before prescribing strong medication to treat my acne.

The nurses truly care about your questions and take up as much time as they need to answer thoroughly.

My experience with Dr. Kurian was exceptional. He was polite, prompt, knowledgeable and competent. I left feeling comfortable and reassured - highly recommend!

Very kind with my daughter. The results have been amazing. It great that there is a pharmacy connected to the office and they are quick to fill prescription. Also a very clean and beautiful business.

Nice, stylish place, with expensive reception, no doubt. But unfortunately, they decided to humiliate their clients (paying clients!), I guess just for fun out of it.
Clients are forced to remove their footwear, no alternative offered, and walk around (on cold tile floor). Some clients end up walking around with no socks (bare feet).
Just think about it for a sec! Clients walking bare foot in DERMATOLOGY clinic. Paying clients have to wait and walk around with no shoes on cold tiles.
If you like that kind of treatment - go ahead and visit. If you don't - look for some other place.

I have been a client of Vida Dermatology for just over a year and am very happy with the services they provide. I had skin cancer removed by Dr Kurian, and have seen Sausan for a skin consultation and 2 facial treatments, including a chemical peel and laser treatment to remove age spots. Sausan is wonderful, she explains everything in detail and I’m so happy with the results. Highly recommend!

I had my hair removal laser done by Sausan, she was so patient, friendly and competent at her job. I’m glad that I chose Vida Dermatology office for my hair removal laser. Great experience and I’d definitely suggest everyone to check out their office.

The clinic was not what I expected. I got referred to the clinic by my family doctor to verify that a skin issue was not cancer. It wasn’t cancer. But the doctor at the clinic suggested to remove the blemish to reduce the chances of it becoming larger. Apparently since it was mostly considered cosmetic I was told that Alberta Health would not cover it.

After the procedure (and $250) they continued to try and sell additional cosmetic corrections to me at more cost of course. This was For things that were very superficial.

It seems that this clinic focuses on for profit cosmetic procedures rather than health issues. I find it concerning that this clinic gets referrals from our health system to feed their for profit business.

If you end up getting referred here by your family doctor, I highly recommend getting a second opinion before opting to pay for anything out of pocket.

Dr Kurian and his staff are wonderful, they go above an beyond to assist their clients. Aliandra is often at the front desk to help me when I arrive for my appointments, she is always very quick and friendly along with all their other staff. I was impressed with Dr Kurian, he is very thorough in his assessments, and is incredibly kind and compassionate. I've had a few experiences at dermatologists where it felt my concerns were brushed off but I'm appreciative that wasn't the case at Vida.

I've been with Dr Kurian for a few years now. I've suffered with severe Psoriasis most of my life. I've seen alot of Dermotologists over the years, and Dr Kurian is by far the best. He worked through the latest treatments with me until we found something that really works and I've been completely clear ever since. He has also done some small skin tag removal procedures that were around my eyes, it was a little nerve racking, but my man has steady hands too! You can tell he has a genuine care for people which should be the case for any Doctor, but unfortunately it is not.
Dr. K is one of the good ones!

In my recent visit, the doctor Kurian explained for me everything and so helpful and the nurse who was working with the doctors was so amazing. And Julia she is the best, was so helpful and amazing she explained about every questions i as eked with a nice and friendly way, so glad to be their patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kurian's recently due to a skin issue on my legs. As part of my treatment, he was able to set me up with phototherapy that is covered by Alberta Health and I come three times a week for a quick session in the UV booth. Everytime I come, I am cheerfully greeted by Aliandra and/or Reema who are two of the nicest, hard working, and helpful front desk staff I have ever met. They also are always there and available to accommodate me, and likely deserve a raise in pay for their patience and being able to fit me in when I'm stuck in traffic or running late from work. Would gladly recommend VIDA Dermatology and I will be using their services for a long time to come!

My family doctor referred me to this place to have a patch of skin on my nose that sometimes is like an open sore and will not go away looked at. Anyhow the whole appointment felt very rushed I put my finger on the area of concern so he quickly checked it and marked the spot with a pen. Nurse did a biopsy and the next day when I changed the dressing it is like half an inch from where the problem patch of skin actually is! So now I have an open wound and likely a permanent scar on my nose where there was no problem. Why didn’t they just give me a mirror and I could have marked the spot myself? Very disappointed will definitely not be back there. Take a few more minutes and actually listen to the patient.

No better place in the city of Edmonton to get any of your dermatologist needs. An absolute pleasure, very professional.

I booked an appointment a month ahead informing them I recently moved from SK and they mentioned all they needed was my Alberta Health Insurance number. Fast forward to the day of my appointment when they tell me that there was a communication issue where they couldn't reach my doctor so if I wanted to be seen that day I would have to pay for the visit my self and request a reimbursement. They assured me that reimbursement through the province health insurance wouldn't be a problem so I payed in order to keep my appointment. Afterwards they tell me they're going to look at it and get me a path for the reimbursement so a few days later they call and inform me they made a mistake at the time of my appointment and now I am no longer eligible for a reimbursement. The clinic does not want to find a solution so the front desk clerk offers to pay me out of their own pocket; I declined as everyone makes mistakes and if someone should pay, should be the clinic and not their employees. In summary I overpaid for a 2 minutes exam that should've been free. Safe to say I will not come back and do not recommend this clinic if you want a place where patients are appreciated and taken care of.

I would like to thank Sausan for taking care of those ingrown hairs. She made it seem effortless and painless. After spending over an hour trying to do it myself and only damaging the skin. I’ll never try doing it myself again, I’ll be coming back to see Sausan!

I visited this clinic in october last year Doctor was in huge rush to just run out of room basically, he was there ofr 2 minutes give or take and left and sample was taken from me to be sent for lab testing which should have been coming back in 4-6 weeks, i been waiting for over 6 months for them to call me, i ended up calling them today and found out that they did not find what they were looking for and doctor decided to close the case, i wasnt contacted neither did my family doctor who reffered me there.while my symptoms has only gone worst since. Huge thanks to whole team, great professionalism!

I have been referred to many specialists for health issues I have had for a long time. I was starting to lose hope and feeling really worn down because no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I have tried countless medications and have had some pretty serious side effects. Dr. Kurian is the first doctor who actually monitored my new medications and the side effects from them. Some medications did not help but he always acted quick to either adjust the dose or switch to a new medication. For the first time ever, I feel heard and valued from a Doctor. Thanks for understand my feelings and exhaustion from my years of pain from my disease and thanks for not quitting until we found the medication that worked best for me! I would recommend Dr. Kurian to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist who actually cares about his patients and does not stop until a plan is found to help with whatever health issues your dealing with! (The nurses and front end staff are amazing too, I have tons of anxiety when dealing with my health issues and they make you feel so comfortable and calm during the whole process)

Julia made each visit fun! She is very knowledgeable about what she does, and makes you feel at ease during your visit!

Dr. Kurian and his team are game changers. I have struggled to find solutions for my acne for years and I finally have things under control thanks to his help. Nothing has worked for me until now. So thankful I found VIDA Dermatology.

Left with an awful scar after "treatment". Doctor spent no more then 2 minutes with me caring only about billing my AB health card. I came to see doctor because of rush all over my body. He did not even want to listen to my symptoms and right away gave me some prescriptions. I was telling him I am breastfeeding and he was changing his prescription on the go. In then end I came again in a few days as his guessed treatment didn't work. They decided to do biopsy and doctor instead of letting me know that biopsy will leave a HORRIBLE SCAR and instead of suggesting to do it in some place that is usually covered he did it on the FRONT of my leg! Since March I have this huge scar and it is not healing. My whole body was in rush and he could have done biopsy anywhere else but he decided to do it on the most visible place! I raised this concern to him and he said it will heal in a month. It did not! Very unrespectful to me, as a person, as a women, who is wearing skirt suits to work everyday!

Both dr. Kurian and Julia have been nothing but exceptional. They also have a wonderful staff here that are professional & caring, the place is also beautifully designed keep up the great work vida dermatology

This was my first time to the office and it was a great experience. I had to reschedule my appointment a few times and the receptionists were very understanding. My wife and I have been looking for a dermatologist and many around the city have wait times of a month or more. Dr. Kurian and his team got me into his office no longer than week, after seeing my family doctor. I am very impressed by the office and how lovely all the staff are. I would highly recommend this office and Dermatologist to anyone.

Omg I seriously adore this place! I had a bad experience a long time ago and they have completely changed how I feel! I didn't feel judged or insecure when showing my problematic skin and they really assess properly and the treatment I'm receiving started showing amazing results immediately! 15 years with acne and I'm already having significantly improved skin! The building is so beautiful and the staff is so friendly and amazing. Highly recommend Vida, they are literally changing my life

Terrible service. I booked my PDT and after waiting more than an hour for my first treatment I left. Tried again and again they are either over booked or poorly organized. Waiting for a service that they are billing handsomely for is not great for retaining customers. What is supposed to take 1.5 hours has now turned into another waiting session. I've been here the 1.5 hours and I'm yet to get my treatment.

I've been seeing/following Julia for the past 4 years which has led me to Vida. Anyone suffering from acne, even in the most severe cases, should definitely book an appointment with her at this new state of the art clinic!

It was my first time to the clinic on Wednesday and my experience was good from the start. There’s ample parking, you walk in and the receptionists are so kind and had the biggest smile. The wait time wasn’t bad at all and Dr. Kurian was patient and friendly. He introduced me to Olivia, an aesthetician who created a skincare routine for me and explained thoroughly how to use them, she made me feel extremely comfortable and answered all my questions. Overall, would strongly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for knowledgeable professionals.

This was my 1st time at the Vida clinic. I was very impressed. The lobby is beautiful and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. My GPS stopped working on the way to the clinic and so I called the clinic to tell them I was lost and would miss my appointment.the receptionist was very sweet and talked me through how to get there. All of the staff were very welcoming. Dr. Kurian has been wonderful. I went to him with 2 skin issues and his treatment has helped to almost completely clear up the issues. A couple more visits and I believe all will be well. I would definitely recommend this clinic.
