Viking Arms

I'm living in Viking Arms for 6+ yrs due to the bus and train station nearby. The building is clean and maintained. I had water damage only 2 times from the ceiling in which i had my laptop, furniture damaged. The elevator is clean. Entry doors are secure, and 24 hr phone access is extremely helpful. Thank God no foul smell in this building.

Though the garage has cameras but still my new car was keyed in all directions. On reporting vandalism, no action was taken.

Managers change due to rotation, so you need to keep an eye for good ones and avoid the rude ones. Not everyone is helpful.

My entry code worked only for 1 year, and so it's a great hassle going downstairs every time for Ubereats, etc.

I've seen security guard in the building at night, which is comforting and helpful (especially if someone is being inconsiderate, playing loud music or having a party at 2am, while you are studying for exams, or sleeping.

MARY ANN, THE go-to person. I am writing this review after settling in after 2 weeks (Good things takes time so: P). I do not just want to flatter with all golden words about Mary Ann but want to just describe her immense help to us. We stayed in Boardwalk Montreal for 3 years until my spouse got a job offer here in NW Edmonton, I did all my research and Viking Arms caught my attention (for all good things i saw on internet) and the ONLY person who was with me from Initial virtual call till my lease agreement signed copy was Mary Ann, I know there were 100's of questions that were clarified, Lots of Sign off for lease transfers that were settled, Lots of delays in bank work was also settled, until the keys were finally submitted to me, Wonderful wonderful management team there and also the building is very well maintained and CLEAN. All kudos for the MaryAnn and her team and also a shout out to the maintenance team. So far So So good: D

I really loved the stay mainly because the staffs were so welcoming and friendly! Even if we had some questions they would answer it patiently! There is two level underground parking which is really favourable and affordable! Maintenance services are quick!

I like it but during the summer I experienced roaches around my apartment and moved out
Edit: they were quick to get rid of them and we eventually moved back in, but due to raising prices we moved back out

It hurt that I had to move out of my home only 2 years after moving in due major rent increases each year but I understand the economy and demand are the real factors behind it.
But I would like to give a shout out to Maryann, the resident manager at Viking Arms. She was absolutely lovely, accommodating and supportive through out my time there, all up till move-out. So I would say the Boardwalk staff definitely makes choosing Boardwalk, easy.

A beautiful location and safety place. Management is great security cleaning etc. And thanks a lot for manager of building Ms Hayat that she is very kind and helpful person about all.
