Aqil and the staff at village Honda turned this nightmare situation around. They replaced the battery with a new one free of charge as that was determined to be the problem. They also picked up and dropped off the vehicle for us for the appointment. Thank you Village Honda for honouring your word and delivering quality customer service!

Avoid this dealership at all costs! Purchased a used Odyssey from Village Honda thinking that a “certified Honda” would mean something. When we picked the vehicle up the battery died in the parking lot and we were told they would replace it with a new one. 4 months later the battery will not hold a charge so they clearly lied and they merely boosted the battery or there’s something more serious wrong with the vehicle. When I reached out I was told someone would get back to me and nobody did. The battery died again in a parking lot and when my wife called they said they can take a look but they will have to charge us to test the battery or replace it. My wife spoke with the manager aqil and he couldn’t have cared less.

Back again! This time Aaron was my guy! He was great to work with along with the rest of the the team (Monica and Max). This is the place to buy your cars!

Cant say enough about the sales group! Rick was phenomenal (he’s your guy especially if you like car racing). Vince in finance is knowledgeable, and great to deal with and same Hans for delivery! This is the go Tom place to buy a Honda!

My husband Perry and I love our 2019 Honda HRV Touring! We had traded our 2016 in to purchase the 2019 HRV Touring and selected the bright blue and had to wait patiently for it to be available. Our Honda was ready for us for pick up with all the added accessories that we wanted. Very friendly people and would recommend to those to buy from Village Honda! The service personnel are awesome as well and they never disappoint when getting your service done to your car. Their shuttle service is great an they are always friendly.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Village Honda in Calgary. My initial conversations and purchase were with Chris, Max and Peter and I cannot say enough about this team! With the recent chip shortages causing delays in many industries, my car was delayed in it's delivery (no fault of the dealership). I was messaged regularly giving me updates, answering all my questions and organizing once a delivery date was given. Once a date was set and I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted warmly, they all seemed as excited as I was! Karim and and Hanz made my pick up day so special, explained the features of the car to me and took the time to answer all my questions. Not a single detail was overlooked! I can't believe the experience I had in purchasing a vehicle, there was no stress, no surprises and no frustrations. I cannot recommend this dealership and the team at Village Honda enough. Very poor service. Stood in line for at least 10 minutes while 3 service advisors ignored me, even though I had an appointment and was the only person in line. Was there for just an oil change and was told it world be ready between 3 and 4. Left it there all afternoon and finally got hold of someone after4 pm who told me it would be ready at 5: 30. Would you call that good service?

I was looking into new cars, to replace my 20-year-old vehicle. The sales representative, Randy, was extremely helpful, providing me with detailed information on the various models and showing me how the features worked in the vehicles in the show room. The test drive was helpful, since I was able to drive wherever I wanted for as long as I wanted, allowing me to check for fit in my garage and get a feel for driving in my familiar neighbourhood.
After test driving other vehicles from other dealers, I eventually chose to purchase the 2022 Civic. At delivery time, the delivery agent, Hans, was very thorough and helpful. He went through all the features and setup for the new vehicle, checking to see if I had any questions at any point. He also replaced the old rusty bolts on the license plate holder of my previous vehicle which I had transferred to my son.
The finance agent, Jeff, provided me with information on the various add-on packages which were available. He described the value of each, but left it to me to decide what I wanted — no high-pressure pitch, just good information.
Overall, I am happy with my experience in purchasing a new vehicle from Village Honda and would recommend them for anyone else looking into new vehicles.

I’ve bought 3 vehicles from Village now, and each time their departments continue to impress! The professionalism starts at the top, with Chris, the GM, and that attitude has shown across the rest of the branches, sales, F&I, service, etc. Polo sold me a car recently, he and his peers worked extremely hard to make a sale that worked for me, and when a minor miscommunication happened surrounding the delivery, they all took care of it including making sure there was no extra effort required on my part. Mistakes can always happen, it’s how they’re addressed that show how much a company is willing to go the extra mile. Once the car needs servicing, a quick shoutout to Rehana’s gang in the service side as well, I’ve dealt with her for years, and will also go above and beyond to ensure the services are completed properly!

Very happy with ALL my experiences at Village Honda, and they’ll keep getting my business!

I am only giving Honda 1 star because there is no option for absolutely the worst scam artists out there. I approached Village Honda December 3. I informed them of my bad credit but they assured me they would try their best with the banks to get me financed. I waited almost 2 weeks only for Peter to ask me for my bank statements to provide to the bank. I provided 2016-present. The following Monday (2 weeks exactly to the day I went in) they informed me the banks declined me and asked if I would like to apply for “in house financing” I said yes of course. Rick from the financial department in head office approached me yesterday informing me they could finance me. The purchase price is 16,900 plus gst, he quoted me 8.5% interest rate @ 5 years financing plus $75.00 monthly profit fee plus he wanted me to payout $2999.00 at the end of the 5 year term. So basically on top of the full purchase price plus %8.5 interest rate Honda wanted me to pay $7499.00 extra. Rick said he had to leave for the day so he couldn’t answer my questions till today. I asked why am I being overcharged and he responded because your credit is bad and claimed %29 is the going rate for the banks and provided documentation from Td. I asked isn’t it illegal to charge %29, I also asked him if that’s why they have to call it “$75.00 monthly payment fee” and “$2999.00 payout fee” at the end of 5 month term and of course no response to the actual question just blame towards myself because my credit is so bad. Not to mention it’s people like you and dealerships like yours is why I am in this position in the first place (I am going to post his reponses so you can see for yourself how Honda’s staff treat people and rips them off) I have to add that the documentation from TD he provided for me was incorrect, he applied for $8000.00 more than the purchase price so obviously the banks are going to decline me. My friend referred me to Honda but after clarifying with her again, after I talked to Rick, we’ve discovered they did the exact same to her. I also contacted other dealerships, my bank and did research and it is illegal to charge %29 for car loans, the dealership negotiates the interest rate with the banks which is split between them. Which also means the dealership is just the middle man and I highly doubt they are paying the banks the average rate of %4.99 so therefore they come up with fees like monthly fees or payout fees at the end of the term and hike up that interest rate they are already making money off of. They also hike up the purchase price/loan or add hidden fees so the banks decline you and waste your time making you believe they are the only option. You can negotiate the interest rate. Please check your documentation before you sign over your life. These people prey on people with bad credit, vunerable pushovers and people that don’t do their research. How the hell does Honda or any dealerships like these sleep at night!?

Had to wait 20-25 mins just to get checked in. They were busy and I understand that but it was just frustrating that was all. I was checked in by a guy named Russell, super nice guy at first but don't be fooled. I have a mechanics background and my family used to own a repair shop once upon a time. Russell was overselling everything from timing belts and valve clearance adjustments to fluids and filters. I approved of some of the work as I don't have time to repair my own vehicles. But it was more of the way he was explaining the work performed. As he was talking on the phone I now know, that he does not have the proper knowledge. How do you have someone there that just BS's his way to sell work? Honda, should really educate your advisers on the way you sell work. The only thing he got right was the Air filter replacements, but that is not that hard to explain. Please don't oversell your work and if you do at least have knowledge and don't BS other people. Money is tight and It's tough out there, don't make it worse.

Review comments: The dealership listened to my concerns and speculations (ABS, VSA) and inspected the vehicle in multiple ways in their repair order. It turned out that the vehicle needed 4 wheel alignment service. The repair visibly improved the vehicle's steering stability that I could feel the difference while I was driving back to home. Thanks to the advisor, Mr. Ng and the technicians for sharing inspection results in the service report.

I've previously been happy enough with village Honda, this last time I was not. I was told twice it would take 4 hours for the service. It took 6. The $260 service ended up being $475. There was a crack covering about a third of my windshield, after they were done it went across the entire windshield. No mention of this when I picked it up. I emailed them with my concerns and more than a week later they haven't bothered to respond. Pretty bad customer service to not even address my concerns. The one concern i actually had wasn't even fixed. They couldn't find what was wrong and offered my another expensive package to try to fix it. Just pretty disappointed. Probably won't be headed back here for service.

You looked after me very well and did the service (out of province inspection) in better time than expected and even had time to help me learn how to use some of the features of my Honda Clarity. Even though I had to buy my car in another province, You treated me like I mattered. I will be happy to recommend you to friends. I already recommended you to People at the registry office and a few others, that I met in parking lots, commenting on this Rare car. I was also impressed that you called me to make sure I was OK after your shuttle driver commented to you that I was pulled over at side of the road. I am surprised that she would have even noticed that it was me and that I had just left your dealership.

Village Honda was the place I bought my Honda CR-V lx 2018 model in white. Shawn the manager took care of us and gave us wonderful customer service. He was knowledgeable and efficient. The colour I was looking was in stock with them. I trusted him and bought it right away. It has been just a day but I am happy with my purchase. I would send my friends and family to Village Honda if they need a vehicle. I had shopped for this vehicle elsewhere too but they weren’t professional.i had good experience at Village Honda

I recently had my Civic serviced here and it was fantastic! It was a simple oil change and air filter swap but it was fast efficient and I got a car wash also! The service rep.was excellent in checking me in upon arrival with a fairly accurate time estimate for the completion of the work. The lounge is large and comfortable, daily news papers and lots of refreshments. Once my car was done the service rep.promptly found me and went over everything completed and provided a detailed overview of the general inspection results. Overall great service department! Very easy to get an appointment (made it the day prior to my visit), and fast friendly service!

I like the services privided by Village Honda. Have tried other honda dealerships in Calgary too but found Village Honda the best for services, parts and new car prices. If you are in the market for new car, i would recommend contacting Lee Gogel. He is the best guy i have met in a car dealership in North America. Gave me the best quote for a new CRV which no body in Calgary could match. Also offered me a loaner car till they get the stock with the trim and the color i wanted. Never forced me to buy when i was shopping for the car. I had already done a lot of research on 2018 CRVs so he gave me keys to test drive and gave me enough time to experience it. Will always deal with Lee when ever i am in the market again for a new/used honda car.

The car I liked was on the internet and I had expressed interest. Although a deal was in the process with another buyer, I asked to be contacted should the car again become available. Shortly afterwards I was called and this was the case. They made it easy to put a deposit on the car until I could view and test drive the vehicle. A deal was made and they made Rick made sure the little things on the car were up to excellence before I picked it up. He communicated well and frequently to keep me in the loop as we were several hours away. I would highly recommend this dealer and Rick to any friends.

Got a 2018 pilot for a great price. Our salesperson Hana was terrific. The car was prepped and delivered within a few days. We never felt pressured or rushed. She was able to answer all our questions about the car and was very helpful! We would highly recommend Village Honda and Hana.

BEWARE. Village Honda is not trustworthy at all. I’ve been through the ringer with this dealership. On May 13/18 I invested $20,000 on a 2013 Ford Escape. I paid for it and within half an hour of me driving it off the lots there’s been huge issues. Huge issues that they hide on a $20,000 vehicle! My dad moved out of town so I’m on my own for car shopping. I’m a single independent woman, who know little about newer vehicles and unfortunately these guys have made me loose faith in humanity. I trusted them. They screwed me and as the months have passed more and more has come to light and now they won’t even return phone calls or book me an appointment with a manager.
The Sync system went black and they told me that my iphone6 was messing with it and that I needed a new phone. After 2 overnights without my SUV and it still not working, I took it to another dealership and there was a recall on it for that exact issue! Then within 2 weeks of purchase, the vehicle was dying constantly. I was getting it jumped every few days. I took it to Advantage Ford and the tech there told me the battery was sold to me at 30%. It wouldn’t even hold a charge. So Village reluctantly paid for a new battery. I live downtown and driving slower and over speed bumps I could hear a slight klunking in the front of the vehicle. I was told to not worry about it and that I’m not used to a newer vehicle engine sound. So I trusted that. After 5 weeks of owning it I saw my dad, he got into the SUV and instantly commented on the klunking. I called Sean Ochosky (sales manager) at Village again, and he raised his voice and said that at some point I have to take vehicle ownership responsibility. And that my dad doesn’t know anything. I raised my voice back and made sure he knows that my dad is a licensed mechanic 20+ years, licences airplane mechanic and one of the best turbine engine mechanics. But it’s not my dads problem to fix it, it’s theirs. So I had to bring my SUV in again and sure enough, the ball joints were worn down to nothing and it was a $300 fix. And another 2 days without my vehicle. By this point I have invested every day off dealing with this for over almost 2 months. No compensation. I just bought new tires for the SUV because yes, it was sold to me with absolutely no tred. I had taken the vehicle to KalTire, Canadian Tire, and Mr. Lube. All who suggested I get new tires as soon as possible because of the condition of them. When I had new tires put on at Mr. Lube they informed me that these jerks sold me the vehicle, which is a 4 wheel drive super charge engine, with 1 totally different tire on the back with different tred. Which is pretty serious. Because that messes with the drive train. And on top of it, that rim is completely bent. So I’ll need new rims too eventually. Now I’ve owned this vehicle for 4 months and the drivers side door is broken, the silver Ford decals are coming off on both sides. The plastic that goes around the window and the piece that goes around the wheel to protect the paint are all coming off. It’s literally the biggest disappointment of my life. I saved for 5 years to buy my first expensive investment vehicle. At this point I will not deal with Sean Ochoscky because he tries to mask all the problems and always tells me that there is no problem. When every time I’ve been right and legit about my concerns. I have now spoken to the sales manager in Service Chris Robertson, who was helpful at the time, and I explained my case in detail, he told me that he would give the information to someone higher up who can help me. And NO ONE HAS CALLED ME and it’s been a month. I’ve been more than patient. Kind and professional. Emotional at times because I feel like they stole my $20,000 and this vehicle is worth $10,000 at the very most. I want to trade it for another one because I do not trust it and this entire horrible experience has taken away from my “special new vehicle purchase”. Now it’s a burden that’s costing me so much time and money.
Next I call AMVIC and see what they can do to help me.
