Vi's For Pies

Serder (hopefully I have spelled his name correctly) is absolutely wonderful. This is my to go to place to order something sweet and delicious. Their pies will never disappoint you ever! I highly recommend the Key Lime Pie. Once you have that anything’s else pales in comparison. Vi’s Pies is a must go to destination. You will never be disappointed with anything you purchase there.

Very expensive for the amount of food you receive. Peanut Butter Mousse pie was too salty.

Vi's for pies give excellent service. I have been there several times and the food is delicious. The only drawback was the construction that blocked off the streets to get to Vi's for pies.

Good food and good service. Pies are always fresh. As of July 2023 there is major construction down Stony Plain Road, but they are still open for business. They are suffering a little so please make sure to get out and support them.

Cute location very homey feeling and welcoming. I have the chicken pot pie every-time it’s the best. Love coming here, and it’s only a short walk from my condo. The patio in the Summer is a must, it’s beautiful. The desserts are sooo good I’m still making my way through them to try each one.

Pretty disappointing. The pies were very bland (tasted like they forgot the sugar), the server was a bit rude, water for tea wasn’t hot (quite tepid), and they didn’t offer us a high chair for our baby. It was also pretty expensive ($26 for 2 slices of pie, 2 cups of tea, and tip). The atmosphere is nice though.

This place is an Edmonton jem. We have been buying pies from them for years and have never been disappointed. Banana cream is to die for, one of the best in the city. The staff is the best, always great service from great people.

Heavily disappointed with how this once comfortable welcoming cafe has turned out. I used to come here frequently with my Mum for lunch dates as a preteen and teenager. My Mum stopped going after a bad experience, I can't remember exact details but definitely something to do with customer service.

I liked the environment, customer service. Size of cake was good for the price. One slice will be enough for two people.

I've been going here since I was a child and Vi's has always been a reminder to take a break and enjoy something sweet. Favourites are the blueberry and strawberry crumble cheesecake and deliciously tart key lime pie!

Wonderful place for comfort food! Great lunch and dessert! Lots of parking around the area.

Over the years, I still want to come back for more. The food is always delicious and the desserts are so rich and delicious, theres no way you can finish. But thats ok, because you will want to eat the leftovers once you get home! They also sell whole cakes, but you need to call a good few days/a week in advance!

Been here probably 10 times. I keep going back for the pie and cake. I saw these reviews so thought I’m obligated to give mine since I know the place quite well. The parking is horrible in the area. I don’t think the shop can do much. It’s our bonehead city council that’s messed that up. The takeaway pies are hit and miss. You never really know for sure if you are going to get a good one or not so good. I would never chance the Apple or cherry again. Way under cooked and tart. It’s like no thought does into the filling. Just pump and dump. It’s probably the young workers in there just throwing them together. The restaurant area is okay, but way over priced and service was just average. Oh. The take away pies are too much money too. The overhead for that footprint and staff is not as high as you’d think. I’ve stopped going to Vi’s for a couple years now due to these reasons. Some day maybe again, but can not justify the $ for the quality and trying to park around there is impossible.

Always tasty. Cheesecake was pretty dense though. My sister made a less sweet much lighter one we enjoyed way more. Keep it simple is a good motto!

I absolutely love the pies here. My hubby and I go just for dessert and coffee dates. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. In the summer time they have a nice garden patio to sit on and heaters for when it gets a little colder. They have pies, cakes, a full menu and drinks as well. One of my favorite date night spots.

The staff were great and incredibly pleasent. Unfortunately my latte was barely warm and the pie I chose (banana) was tasteless, so I was disappointed. However the company I had all had great experiences and thought their desserts (different than mine) were delicious! I didn't have dinner there but it sure smelled great from what others in the cafe ordered.

They make the most decadent and delicious cheesecake at Vis for Pie. If you love dense desserts, then the cheesecake will be a joy to eat. Pictured here is a new seasonal candy cane chocolate cheesecake. Highly recommend swinging by Vis if you are craving something sweet.

Always drive by this place and really wanted to try it. I was REALLY craving some delicious pie so finally decided to pop in. However, to my dismay, the selection was quite poor. For a place known for pie, I'd expect their cooler to be packed with a wide variety. The cooler was small and pretty empty. Some chocolate cake and some cheesecakes, but pretty much no pie. Eventually they did bring out more flavors, but when I didn't think it could get worse, the banana cream pie was completely bland. I had been wanting pie from this place for SO long and was just SO disappointed. I honestly will just go to the grocery store tomorrow and purchase some pie instead that will probably taste better. I expected more. The mochaccino was also not at the temperature I'd expect, more on the room temp side - please make your coffees HOT! I don't know anyone who likes room temp coffees. I also wasn't a huge fan of the seating/ambiance either. It was quite cramped and the seating area looks outdated. At the end of the day, the flavors were just not there for me and neither were the vibes and therefore, I likely will not be back.

I have been to this restaurant twice in the past two summers with my elderly mother. While the food is quite good, the service leaves much to be desired. There were only two servers and the restaurant was quite busy for lunch. It was very difficult to get their attention, even to pay the bill. The prices also seemed high but comparable to other restaurants. I will not be returning to this place. It used to be a favourite but has gone downhill in my opinion.

Good services and delicious pies. Very comfy inside. I love both shepherd's and chicken pies, but their cakes are yummy too! Highly recommended!

If you are in Edmonton, and have not visited the gem; you are completely missing out. Please come prepare to wait a couple of minutes or more, small very intimate setting but worth the wait.

Whether you want a sandwich or their glorious treats, you are in for a good experience. This experience will fix a bad day; or make a good day better

Please if clean, staff are always courteous and food always fresh. I find myself coming back for more every chance I get.

Excellent Dessert place! Everything was DELISH! Will have to try their food next time I'm there!

We dined in with bunch of friends on August 3,2022. Hands down we had the best overall experience. The food, the service, ambiance, and especially the pies. I have no words to describe how happy we left the place.
I would strongly recommend the “Three Berry Pie” as a dessert. Thanks to Esra and Serdar for making our dining experience unforgettable.

We were given gift certificates by a friend to Vi's. When we went to order pies, we were told that the prepayment for the pies was was due on ordering, but that gift certificates were not accepted. We were given gift certificates amounting to 200 dollars!

Hmmm. So the gift certificates that were bought specifically for the store with cash cannot be used for preorders? Buying these certificates is essentially giving money to Vi's that can't be retrieved in product. Why buy a Vi's gift certificate? Just hold off and use cash, or better yet, go somewhere that honours their own gift certificates in any way you want to use them. They SHOULD be as good as cash, and gleefully accepted by the business that issues them. After all, the business gets all the benefit of having the money up front, and gets traffic from gift certificates that might otherwise not have gone there at all. When we went to pick up the pies, we asked again to redeem the gift certificates and they declined.

This is dishonest to both the giver and the recipient of the gift certificates. Grossly disappointed!

Amazing brunch, friendly staffs, hidden gem in Edmonton. Their brunch is very very good, pastries are very tasty and it has a very small and cozy outdoor sitting area.

Stopped here spur of the moment, had a slice of one of their delicious cakes and some coffee. Beautiful outdoor area to sit and enjoy. Staff were very kind and accommodating, great customer service. I look forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

I bought a bunbleberry pie from their bakeshop and was not disappointed! Like a fully LOADED homemade pie. Everyone loved it!

Classic chicken pot pie, delicious brisket, and the always amazing dessert. An Edmonton staple!

We had a great experience yesterday. Steven was our server and he was excellent.so friendly, efficient - and kind! The chicken pot pie and chocolate cake were delicious too. I hadn't been here in years but will be back again very soon!

This place has been a regular stop for me when I'm out for a bike ride because they make some of the most amazing pies and cakes. The last time I was here a couple of the items that they had on the menu had run out. The reason I bring this up is because that actually makes me really happy. I find it comforting to know this place finds fresh high-quality ingredients important enough that they only buy as much as they think they'll need. Whether you would like to stop for a coffee and a slice of delicious dessert or for a beautiful lunch these guys are one of the best neighbourhood stops the city has to offer.

We ordered 4 pies from this place and everything was great. Best coconut cream pie I've had and the crust was incredible. These guys know pies. Will be going back for more!

Was fortunate enough to have a beautiful day to be able to sit in the beautiful tranquil garden. My pie was amazing and well priced for the obvious top quality ingredients.
Couldn't go home knowing I had this wonderful desert and not give some to my husband, so bought another piece on the way out. Calm atmosphere and service was excellent even on this hot day. Would recommend highly.
