Great experience ordering online. I needed the camera quickly so I called to ensure the item was in stock and would ship soon. Their warehouse person was extremely helpful. The order shipped the same day I placed it. It arrived on Vancouver Island a few days later.

This is the second time that I bought a camera from Vistek. The first was when I bought a brand new Canon 5D Mark IV which came with a free SD card and free extra battery.

Now the second time around I bought the Canon EOS R and it also came with freebies such as the Canon EF-R adapter and a 128 gig SD Card.

I feel like there was value to my money with the freebies that came with my last two purchases. I will definitely buy from Vistek again.

Highly recommend Edmonton Vistek and the entire staff. I’ve been coming here for about the last year and a half, and always receive the best service. I have been recently eyeing a new camera and Emmet was very knowledgeable and assisted in helping narrow down options. Everyone is always so friendly and eager to help. Kudos to the rental team as well, and the option of trying before you buy. Im the happy owner of a new Canon R6 mark ii (included photos with new camera for reference), and will definitely always be coming back for any other electronic / camera needs.

I recently purchased a Nikon Z9 and four Z lenses from Emmet at Vistek. I don't usually respond to reviews and requests for "how did we do" or "rate our service", etc, but I am compelled in this case to complement Vistek and specifically Emmet on the excellent assistance regarding the trade-up of old equipment and the purchase of new Nikon Z camera gear! I haven't fully tested the camera and lenses completely as yet, but suffice it to say that I am more than satisfied with their performance so far! Thanks for the excellent service!

I often order from Vistek online since I’m in Fort McMurray, but when I know I’m going to the city and have oversized needs I will order for pickup to squeeze in the fun shopping trip and save shipping costs. This location goes above and beyond for me to ensure I get my order, even when I forget to grab it and have to end up having it shipped after all, and they do it in a friendly way. I really appreciate their personal service touches.

Lots of high-end photography and video stuff. Some things are expensive but other things you can't get anywhere else.

We had an absolutely awesome experience with Jamie over at Vistek Edmonton this past weekend! We were in town from Calgary, needing to rent two lenses, which they provided in like new condition. After a long weekend of shooting, we made our drive back to Calgary, as we arrived, we realized the rented lenses were still in the car! Needless to say, we made a worried call to Jamie in Edmonton, unsure what to do next. We were met with an extremely calm and helpful Jamie, as she made way to a super easy and quick resolution, absolutely making our day. We wouldn't hesitate recommending Vistek Edmonton for Rentals and all your Camera needs. We are so happy Jamie was in when we came to visit and also for our call after =)

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Vistek! I called to inquire about rentals and Jaime was able to give me the absolute best options for what my ultimate goal was! She walked me through the entire process and was very helpful. When I was there, an outside altercation happened and I have honestly never seen a company come together as a collective and help a complete stranger. They jumped all hands on deck to ensure everyone was safe and taken care of.
Now that is a company I want to support. One that is knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and personable. For Vistek it isn’t about the money, it’s about the customers.

I love this place! Every time I go here the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The selection of gear is awesome. My one gripe is the website is terrible to navigate.

Great equipment, fair prices, knowledgeable staff! Recieved some excellent and very helpful advise from sales on stabilizing equipment. Only problem for me was no option to drop back off on Sundays. Nevertheless the rentals team was understanding and flexible when I couldn’t get the equipment back on time on Monday. This was greatly appreciated, but I do wish the drop off availability could be expanded, would make it much easier to rent from here.

They don’t price match with Amazon.ca. Same lens Amazon has almost $90 less. But the sales person said they won’t price match. Ok no problem went to McBain camera and they price matched for me. So guys if u want to buy any stuff from Vistek double check in Amazon.ca if Amazon has cheaper price go to McBain and they will price match for u. Save money.

I had to rent a tripod a couple times while I was waiting for the one I ordered to come in. The staff at Vistek were always fast to respond to inquiries, super helpful and very kind to deal with. I would go back in a second if I needed to borrow any more gear. Thanks so much!

From service point of view: this is simply the best overall store in Edmonton, kudos to management for creating such a great environment for their colleagues and customers a like. During my first visit, I experienced such a great balance of information and help and given time & space to explore and think about my purchase. There was always someone to help in the store made sure, everyone coming through door was greeted and taken care of from start to finish. Special mention to Kyle Ladda who was very helpful during my visit and Now this is my first store of choice in Edmonton.
Congratulations to your whole team and management for creating such a pleasant shopping experience. Will be coming back for sure!

I received absolutely tremendous service from Emmet. He shared his vast depth of knowledge with grace, humility and empathy. He instantly solved my problem, without forcing me to jump through a bunch of annoying hoops, like the CRA, bank or Ikea. Shout out to Vistek for offering a great online service option, but @managers, give Emmet a raise because he is epic. Don't be surprised if he hands in his resignation letter for a 7 figure salary though because this guy is going places.

The guy you NEED to buy from at Vistek is Wes Chan. He is awesome! He actually takes the time to educate you on the cameras and other equipment. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and honest. It's refreshing (and rare) to find a sales person with integrity these days.

This place is awesome, the staff are extremely well educated in all things photo or video related.

I had rented 4 lenses before I decided on the lens I wanted to buy. The staff here made it really easy for me to rent the Sigma, Sony and Tamron lenses.

Whether your renting equipment to buying new gear, these guys are awesome to deal with.

Quick friendly knowledgeable staff (or was it the owner/manager who served me?) Anyways i found, i bought, i left.

I've spoken to Wes and Emmet a couple of times over the phone and they were really helpful. I got a very clean 35mm f1.8 used lens from this store and im very happy with it. These guys go above and beyound to get your business. The only thing that would have been nice is if they had a location closer to south edmonton - or if they stayed open later. I often times want to come over after work - but with a 24 minute drive can't always make it on time for 5: 30 pm unfortunately. Perhaps they can revise their hours to stay open until 6. I end up calling and going to McBains sometimes because of their location and opening hours.

I ordered one Tamron lens from Vistek Edmonton on 30 November, 2020. Received the lens after two months. However, it was not the fault of Vistek. Actually Tamron made the delay. The Manager Ting personally informed me about the status of the shipment. I was very upset about the delay and was little rude to them but he and the sales executive Kieran handled the situation very professionally. Totally satisfied with the service. In terms of rental, I rented the lenses from Vistek for almost two years and their services are the best in Edmonton for sure. Thanks for all the hard work and good customer service.

Just bought the Canon M50 Mark II & Emmet helped me out with the purchase. He's super knowledgable, patient and professional as he took the time to listen and answer all of my questions to ensure I made an informed decision and got what I needed. Felt very safe going into Vistek. Sanitizer and gloves at the front door. Limiting to 2 customers at a time inside. Staff was also well informed of the products they were selling.

In the middle of the COVID lockdown I found myself in need of a new lens for a project. Amanda gave me unprecedented service, even with it being done completely remotely. From helping me select the appropriate lens, processing my order, to making sure I get it in time for my project due date, and connecting me with another store outside Edmonton to make it happen. I cannot thank her and this company enough. Their service is phenomenal! I bought the dji mavic mini, from vistek it took 10 days to arrive but that was because Canada post was backed up. The staff and customer service were excellant the Mavic mini is just unbelievable and highly recommended. It is so easy to fly and great camera and video footage. I will be purchasing another one for my brother. I reccomend buying it from vistek as I do not trust other dealers especially online.

I had an expensive camera body I ordered have a power issue and within 14 days I had no issue exchanging it for a new one. Helpful folks with a great selection and extensive rental options.

This was my first purchase at Vistek, and from the moment I came into the store, I was greeted by all their staff as I made my way towards the back of the store where they kept their Canon cameras. Wes was at the camera counter and was not only patient, but knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had. I was on the fence about the Canon 80D and the 7D Mark ii. I was also considering waiting for the 90D (which based on many different sources should be out within 2 months). During the time I spent using the 24-70 and 70-200 on both camera bodies, a few other customers came by the camera counter, but they had other sales people to service them. After a good half hour with Wes, I let Wes know that I would need more time to research the 7D and get back to him. Wes let me know that the one they have in stock was on hold and because I am from out of town; they might be able to reorder for their other customer.

After an evening of research; I came back the next morning as they opened. I knew it was Wes's day off, but I was greeted by Emmet. He as well, was friendly and knowledgeable (especially in sports photography which he shared with me the settings that works for him). Again, he was very patient as I wanted to hook up the 70-200 onto the 7D mkii body. I tested it extensively and was very happy with how well it performed. I let Emmet know that I was dealing with Wes the day before and would be happy to have the commission shared between both of them. Once I was ready to buy Emmet checked the computer and did not see any stock on the body only, I mentioned that Wes said there was one on hold.

This is where Ben (the sales floor supervisor) was able to do his magic. He spent a good 20 minutes ensuring that if I take the one on hold, that they would be able to bring in another one in more than enough time for the other customer. In the era of buying things online, I prefer to support local companies as much as possible. I also like to try the camera with the same types of lens that I use before buying.

I asked Emmet that after the sales transaction goes through I would need to test the new camera with the 70-200 lens to make sure everything is working as I would not be able to come back into the city for a long time. Once again, he provided excellent customer service and even charged my two camera batteries (one came with the accessory package) as they were totally dead out of the box. I tested the new camera with their battery. Just before I left, I also tried the two batteries that he partially charged and the camera did power on.

When the 90D comes out, and hopefully by Christmas there will be a sale on it; I will not need to think twice about where to purchase it. Thank you Vistek for a great shopping experience.

I came to Vistek knowing what I wanted already, a new variable Nd filter. I was greeted by a friendly staff member not long after I entered the building. As I hadn't been there before I thanked the staff member for his offer of help but explained I wanted to browse for a bit. They said just to flag them down if I had any questions.

After browsing all of the amazing stock they have I made my way to the filter section where I was again greeted by another staff member offering assistance. I explained what I was there for and had a few questions.

Not only was this staff member knowledgeable and friendly, they also offered to go grab a couple of the products we were comparing from the rental section so I could actually play around with the filters before settling on the one I wanted.

Great experience, couldn't have asked for anything more from the store or staff. I'll be a returning customer the next time I need some new gear or advice.

I've visited their store a few times now to buy/rent/repair stuff and I was very happy with the staff. They are all friendly and nice.

However, their internal transfers are highly unreliable. I ordered a Manfrotto tripod and was originally told that the item will be available for pickup in 6-10 business days. A month later, I never got an email or a phone call from the company, so I followed up, and was told that there was "an inventory issue. " Then they gave me a new estimate for the pickup, which they failed to meet again. I've had a similar experience with them 3-4 years ago, and I can tell nothing really changed since then.

Super helpful staff every time I'm in here. The prices a good and the selection is pretty deep. No need to go online!

Some staff here are fine. Some are wildly pretentious with a holier-than-thou attitude. It doesn't matter if the staff on hand know everything about what they have in stock if they can't properly work and communicate with other human beings. Wes, I believe, is a gem, it seems like, but in my most recent visit here, he was the one exception.

I can't even consider Vistek for photography anymore. I'm not sure I ever did though. It's basically a video/film-centric business with a photographic hobby and side-project.

Therefore, I compare Vistek to a hybrid-camera: one that shoots both video and stills, but focuses on one more than the other. This is ridiculous, however, when you understand that despite their video-centric hybrid business model, they barely support smaller formats like m43. I have no idea if this comparison makes sense or if I've over-drawn a metaphor, or you know, whatever.

Here's a more simple comparison, Vistek Edmonton is like the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons.
