Trust the reviews. Unlike most restaurants who are operating without knowing the flavor customer wants, they are an authentic gem providing true Indian flavors. Will try everything they have on their menu.
Authentic dishes and taste from the shores of Mumbai with decent portions and wrapped with great service from Sagar. You gotta visit and try the cuisine and variety.
One of the best places for some Mumbai style street food. Inconspicuous location but bright atmosphere and most importantly great tasting food. Their sabudana vada is just perfect and their vada pay packs a punch. Totally recommended for an interesting dining experience.
Update Jan 2024. Their keema pav was perfect and the masala tea that they serve is perhaps the best in Calgary that I have tried so far. Coupled with friendly attentive service this has become our go to for good Indian street food which was sorely lacking in Calgary.
We have tried there pav bhaji and vada pav. They were good. Yesterday, we ordered two plates of samosas. Samosas were really oily from outside, double fried and color of the outer shell and filling were little blackish. It was like the one we buy frozen. We were disappointed.
I ordered 3 cups of tea; they charged me $15 plus GST, which was $15.75. I took them and came to the office to serve my guests. Strangely, small Tim Horton coffee cups were half filled when opened. Tim Horton is giving steeped tea of double size for $1.89, and you have to tell them to fill only a little. The next day, I returned to complain, and the girl at the front said, this is what we are giving. We measure tea with a slight Indian Desi Dhaba glass, which is always half of a regular coffee cup in Canada. I asked why using Indian cups to sell in Canada. You guys are changing three times more than regular tea. I told her I would not return to this place, and she said it was up to you.
The food had a genuine taste of Indian street food. The Aloo Tikki could use some improvement in terms of taste. The Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji were enjoyable, and the Dahi Puri was nice too. The tea was amazing; in fact, I ordered it twice.
It's as close as you can get to Mumbai style street food in Calgary. The food is delicious. I definitely recommend the Dabeli, Chicken Kathi Roll and chai
The food is decent, though a bit on the spicier side. So mention about your spices preferences while ordering. The space is cramped and becomes crowded during the weekends. The service needs some improvement as the new hires seem to be untrained. The Tea is full of some extra sugar so be careful!
Okay here the thing I’m not like others posting fake reviews or anything but honestly this place is hilarious, bro tried their Pav Bhaji.it will take you to Mumbai, same taste. The guy over there Sagar is most polite and experienced person i ever met in customer service.totally worth it. I would love to go there again. Must go and try their food.
