This company is a fraudulent company. I have have cancelled the system 6 months ago and I have told them to double check their system if I have pay off full amount and their associate told me “Yes, you are fully pay off. ” And I told them I will be away from the province for few months. Now I have received a letter from collection center that I still owe them money. I would highly recommend please not go with Vivint. It’s a waste of money.

This company is a fraudulent company. I moved a year ago. Amd the new owner of my house took over service. This company has continued to take full payment from me, and the new owner of my house. Everytime I have called they have assured me my service is canceled. But continue to bill my bank every month. They never give me direct contact to talk to anyone other then a customer service representative. They are thieves, and are not trying to protect there customers homes whatsoever. They have continued to have the new owner and myself attached to accounts at the residence. Stay clear of this company. Even their staff says they are shady.

Horrible! I have had the system since 2016, I called August 2020, because I new the contract was up soon, they said no it's May 23,2021 and they sent me the contract. My Door bell hardly works, alway rebooting. I called today to cancel, they said they would give me a deal, I said no, then they said I renewed in 2019, and my contract isn't up until April 2023. I told them to send me the call that they recorded of me agreeing to this. Why did you not send me an email. They are a bunch of LIARS! DO NOT USE them!

Bought a pre owned house that had vivent and can't get a technician out to take out all the random live wires in the walls. The old owner even tried and they wouldn't do a thing. Guess I know who not to use for security.

I would not purchase Vivint smart home. You need to go through a trouble shooting process before they will send out a technician. I have been cut off during the trouble shooting process three times in one day. I called them the next day, told them about the trouble shooting process the day before and they said that the trouble shooting process would have to be done again from the beginning. I was then again cut off, had to call back again and I have been on hold for an hour to speak to a manager. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

We hate their service coz our camera in the garage worked only for a while. 3 years already that the camera has not worked and everytime we asked to have it fixed, no technicians came.its over 3 years now.they are not doing anything about it.

Vivint came out and installed the next day which was amazing! My technician Jazz gave me his number to reach out if I needed any further assistance with any of them equipment, which would’ve been really nice had he replied to any of my messages or phone calls when struggling with a camera issue. I live in a brand new home and I wasn’t aware the garage door had a smart opener already installed, and Jazz still allowed me to go ahead and purchase another one even though it wasn’t needed. 3/4 of my cameras aren’t recording and I have talked with 3 different technicians now and have been disconnected with no return phone call. So each time you have to wait 15 min or longer to speak to someone new. Not impressed so far.

Impossible to cancel your contract and their service and alarm response is terrible. Really shady company with greasy sales tactics. You literally just have to put a stop payment on them and deal with the endless phone calls from them if you want to cancel the service.

I have never said I am loving it (response from the owner below) false advertising on their part once again!

Vivint is horrible.
Totally sucks for the original sales lady that i welcomed into my home to hear her scam (she even told me it was) long story short I missed the cancellation date due to an unexpected surgery and now I have a collections issue for over $1,400.when it was offered for free then $50.00 per month which i could have managed but by the time the backandforth discussions with Vivant were done I owed $300 which would have been immediately which was an impossibility.and i was promoting their name with signage in my yard.they SUCK

We’ve had the odd glitch or time when the connection wasn’t working great and each time the tech was fast to come out and fix it. Now everything works perfectly and it honestly gives me so much peace of mind. I’m really glad we added their camera with “lingering” detection on the front of the house. We get people coming up and checking door handles and it lets them know “we see you! ”. The alert sound always makes them jump and run off too. It also allows for the house alarm to be projected outside so everyone around is alerted to your distress even before help arrives. It has great night vision and picks up audio really well too. It saves videos for quite a while so you can go back. And downloading them is easy. I’ve used them to take them to the cops a couple of times and they’re really clear. All in all really happy with our service and product.

It is a pretty good security system, especially during COVID-19. I have bell camera and my backyard video which helps me monitor both sides. I can also track all the packages delivered, make sure no one steal them.

The thermostat always offline. I tried to call customer service, but she just told me how to fix it. I followed her instructions did it over and over again for couple hours. But it still didn’t working. Let me waiting for one week to get new thermostat to replace it. I buy your service, why you don’t send technician to fix it. Am I technician? So disappointed

Tried to cancel my account. Takes hours to get to talk to anybody. I agreed to have my visa charged to pay out the equipment (now totally useless) and 2 weeks later I get a call that I still owe money more money. I told him that I paid it out already.
In my mind I was done with Vivint at this time, just to discover I got charged to weeks later for another month of monitoring and even more.
Safe your money. But a shotgun instead.
Vivint is just another of these greedy Secuirty companies who charge you an arm and a leg for an absolute useless service

They lied to me when I took over the previous contract. They will only help you if you sign another contract. They have been over charging me for the last year. Please save your money and go elsewhere

I called Vivint to set up installation & they were able to send a couple of techs out within just a few days.
The sales person on the phone helped me decide exactly what I wanted & gave me all the details I needed to know & was very professional & polite.
The techs that came out to my house to install the equipment were a great help in suggesting more products that ended up being the same price as the original quote, so come the day of installation, I got more than I originally asked for for the same price!
The techs were both very professional & personable. Very polite & easy to have a regular conversation with, they even gave my pets the attention they were asking for! Haha. They had everything installed in the estimated time, cleaned up any mess they had made & answered any questions we had for them!
Everything works great, & we couldn’t be happier!
10/10 would recommend Vivint Smart Home Security!

Beware of this surveillance company! Called to install a doorbell camera and security system as our parents are with the company and were told they would get a referral fee. (They did not!) Guy on the phone gave us one price for the system and it was substantially more than stated to us on the phone. After some digging, the manager honored the original expected price so we allowed them to proceed with installation. Techs left a ridiculous mess in my very clean house. Didn't even attempt cleaning up the mounds of sawdust that were left everywhere. Regardless, we enjoyed the system after the first month and were wondering about adding another surveillance camera for our drive way as someone hit my car over the weekend. They REFUSE to add ANYTHING onto our system until the two year contract is up. Interesting that you wouldn't want make more money every month. We will be looking at other companies since this company clearly doesn't want our money.

It's been about one month since i have been with this company. First, the equipment I do like.it's easy to use, looks good. Can't complain about it. BUT.the company.were to start. My first phone call to ask about the services gave me one price, tech came down and told me it's $20 more than what the other guy said. So I said, I would think about it. I'm assuming the tech makes per job because the attitude he had after was alot. I got a phone call from a manager and we worked out a price before the tech left, so he installed. I also told the salesperson and tech, that my parents are with them and referred me. So they would get the $200 they offer, and they will not give them it. Just keep getting the ring around. The tech did half of the job and left a mess at the front door that I had to clean. I installed the doorbell and one door sensor myself. They also did not tell me it is a 5 YEAR TERM until I'm signing the contract. But that I can deal with. Until today I wanted to see if I can get another camera on garage (like the first guy said I could do at any time) because someone hit girlfriends car. They told me it's to new for a change in the loan. Cant do it until maybe 2 years later. ITS A LOAN/DEBT.like buying a car. Which is why I guess they do a HARD credit check. I wouldn't have gone through with this if I knew. Worst experience so far.

Stay away. Shady business tactics. Conveniently lose records of phone calls. We started in May 2016. I initially said no but the salesman was very good but also lied. My wife and I are sure he told us we’d be on a 3 year contract but signed us on a 3 and a half year contract. Be sure to go over your contract yourself. When my wife called to cancel they initially gave us 4 month cancellation with a 10% discount because the contract issue was hearsay. Then 4 days later they call her back and say they have no record of the original call to cancel and it will be for 5 months. The Customer service was very shady, trying to get an extra month out of us and forced her to approve it and made her feel like an idiot by ambushing her with this false information. We did in fact have 4 months left on contract. I called them back and they were very polite with me but that doesn’t change how they treated my wife.

The experience has been great. If any issues arose we called our representative and they were very helpful. They also send videos and written instructions to help with issues that we have called about. Very easy to access and follow the instructions.

I have had Vivint since 2016. Their equipment is substandard. They rely on bulky WiFi system. Their cameras look like table lamps. They are very visible, housed in large cases and cannot be placed anywhere where they are needed. The cameras are of poor quality. Unless there is proper lighting, they will record meaningful video for surveillance that could be used for proof. Their price is not cheap either. For monitoring, they charge the same amount as my cellphone company. But I get way more value from my cellphone services provider, with unlimited daytime minutes and over 4gb of data. In the past 2 years, Vivin't's service has deteriorated. First it started by late phone calls to alarms. It is like the fire department getting a call after the house has burned down. Then they stopped calling even if alarm went off. So, overall, I would recommend not using their services if you have a business.

Their aggressive salespeople are extremely rude and do not take "no" for an answer. It gets to the point where you have to slam the door in their face because they keep trying to sell no matter what. This has happened on multiple occasions and appears to be due to the training they receive. Given their questionable sales practices, I would never consider doing business with them.

My initial experience has been great so far. Very happy with the quality of the equipment and the service was awesome. I always feel uncomfortable taking on a commitment but this seems very flexible and I still feel in control.

Extremely rude an unprofessional.

Young kids in tshirts, asking my wife if they were late for the party upon opening the door.to they wouldn't leave when told we were not at all interested in their services.

Asking questions about last security update we had right as I'm telling them dude, leave.
Three times I said not interested an to leave before they finally did an it felt very stand offish to get point across.
May file a complaint directly with EPS tomorrow.i actually feel we were invaded by them an wouldn't look at this company twice if I wanted their services.

A representative showed up to our house earlier in the day. My wife told him we weren’t interested. But he insisted to speak with (the man of the house) and he would be back at 9pm. He rang the door bell and knock obnoxiously and woke up my 2 year old from bed. Worst experience I’ve ever had

Exhausting. Terrible documentation of service calls - repeated calls for unresolved hardware problems. I've been trying to get my doorbell to work since October 2018, it is now July 2019. Contacting people via phone is very indirect if you are trying to reach someone specific. You must call 1800 number/use chat to contact, and I have never been able to get through to the person I need to talk to.

I've missed a few calls I believe, but usually without voicemail, or caller ID. Twice when I was left a voice mail, there was no direct mode of contact given, except once I got a supervisors email address. No progress via email communication, because he just kept saying he couldn't get a hold of me over the phone, even though my problem has very definitely been determined already, and still no action has been carried out. I was told I was going to be reassigned to someone who works hours outside of my working hours to help get in touch, which didn't happen, or at least I was not made aware of who was going to be my new contact. I was also told I would receive a different router to hopefully solve the problem, but it never arrived. I doubt it was stolen. I've otherwise never had a package disappear but I have no proof because my doorbell camera is Not Working. The hardware has a warranty, but it has not been fixed or replaced after many service calls, and chats.
Anyway I really don't recommend. Huge disappointment.

Most dishonest company there is. Cancelled my service still being charged and getting the runaround to get my money back. I strongly suggest you stay far away from these f***s.

Blaine was fantastic in giving us all the information we needed, and really ensuring we knew what we were getting and all the extra options. The one item that he didn’t mention he threw in for us because he truly wanted to make sure we were well informed. Moe was out installer and he was very quick and efficient. He was thorough and a pleasure to talk with while he worked, he went above and beyond and we are very pleased with our entire experience thus far. Thank you Vivint

The sales rep was very respectful and personable. I kindly declined and asked how his day was going. He replied that it was great but he had just gotten stung. I offered a gel for his sting which led to small talk and I decided to hear his pitch about the product and service. Upon learning everything Vivint had to offer, I decided to give it a go. The gentlemen were very kind and professional during the installation and operating instructions.
Only downfall is that the carbon monoxide detector was put in a bad spot and I now have 2 holes to patch and a room to repaint. I asked if Vivint would throw in one camera to make up for the work I didn't plan on doing to fix and cover the holes Happy customer means better word of mouth about the product and service.
So far I am extremely happy and feel much safer in my home with my kids.
