Completele unorgnized centre so far. After spending millions of $$$ tax payers money, two days in roll not able to get in swimming pool due to early closing time. Respond from over counter personal is "Sorry not enough life guard on duty" we have to put you on waiting list and call you when spot is available? Accepted to be on waiting list to get in swimming pool ****wow lol lol unreal ****. After 20 minutes of wait approaching service desk and hearing again ****Sorry couldn't call you we are so busy and closing pool in 10 minutes.
I think that is way how to treat VIVO members
thank you

I really like the newly renovated Vivo centre, i know lots efforts have been put into it so I hope it operates better and better! Also I see issues too and I hope some changes can be made based on members’ suggestions and experiences.
1st - I hope they could plan programs better, be more thoughtful and organized. If the building closes at 11pm, why is the swimming pool closed at 8: 30pm? This does not allow parents have enough time after work to have dinner and then bring their kids to the pool!
2nd - it seems understaffed at the front desk. Last Sunday when we went, we waited for at least 15mjn and the front desk people didn’t even see us standing there waiting as they were busy with other people.
It still seems chaos here and there, the overall management seems poor. I cannt find any one in charge, all I saw is the young kids at the front desk or janitors. If I have some questions or concerns or recommendations, don’t even know who I should talk to!
3rd - how come the gate is not closed all the time and people can get in without swiping card. I don’t want to share space with people who didn’t pay for membership!

We had been members at Vivo before the pandemic and it was good, but now after the renovation we are disappointed.

The fitness center is small and crowded.

The lifeguards at the swimming pool are nice, but one of the supervisors is rude.

The schedules for the gyms are not convenient. Gyms are empty but nets cannot be set for badminton or pickleball because they are not on schedule.

Ping pong tables are in a very tight space and it is hard to play comfortably, while there are lots of empty/wasted spaces in the facilities.

The only bright side is that staff (except for that guy in the swimming pool) are nice.

Was excited to check out the “new” pool after a very very long time being closed. First off, couldn’t even get in because “a piece fell off the side of the pool and they need to find it before we reopen”. Oddest excuse I’ve ever heard for not opening a pool. What on earth was it that fell in and why is it so hard to find? Also, by glancing in the window it sure looks like the leisure pool is exactly the same as before! They simply added a lap pool (which was needed, but you can’t exactly say it’s a brand new aquatics center).

Worse ever summer camp, They can't even organize a simple summer camp. This is a scam place lot of government fund wasted here and they charge you a lot of money for very poor service
15 July 2023 18:30
Worse summer Camp a nightmare for you and your kids. You will end up wasting your time every morning to just send your kid to the camp lack of staff unorganized unprofessional. Just a waste of your money and your kids time

Yearly pass is a bit expensive for single person, but kind of makes up for it if you add a child or two as they are pretty cheap to add. The services are, but it is pretty busy at times and some areas are small. Hot tub can be over filled at times and people are always messing with the sensor in the sauna so you never know if it's going to be cold or burn your face off when you walk in there.

Our child started preschool today and we are beyond happy. We could find nowhere else we could afford due to me being disabled and on CPP. I feel comfortable with their preventative measures they are taking to keep themselves and the children safe. Monica is fabulous.

We have only been here one time so far but our experience was exceptional. Their staff are friendly and smiling (even behind masks). They go above and beyond and are flexible to meet different family needs!

Your gym is trash and stole over 100$ from me and blamed covid. Thanks for nothing. Ill be sure to spread the word about your brutal facilities and awful customer service during a trying time. If you can't accommodate a customer you refund them. You guys are crooks.

For over ten-years our family has benefitted from the awesome team and facility at Vivo. We are incredibly grateful to have Vivo in our community and appreciate Vivo's culture and efforts to adapt in a very challenging environment. Covid19 is a significant challenge for all, but there is a lot to be grateful for. Vivo our family is grateful for you.

Terrible service After 2 years of membership reception stops me on entry by shouting that my payment method had failed and to come back, loudly in front of others! Then caused me to miss my class, and treated me poorly!
05 June 2019 20:09
So there is lots to do here. You can workout, read, or have some healthy juice. They have a pool, steam room and proper gym for exercising with weights. Not many calisthenics options but alright overall.

The place itself is sufficiently supported by the library.
31 May 2019 5:44
Staff is nice, amenities are ok. Good value for membership. Could do with an upgrade/expansion due to the heavily populated area.
20 May 2019 8:30
Pros:

- Massive complex that houses just about everything. Gym, swim pool with hot tub and sauna, basketball court, badminton, ping pong, volleyball and just about everything in between.
- Humongous parking lot, should be able to find a spot 90% of the time unless peak hours on weekends.
- Staff is generally welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

- It’s starting to show it’s age. Gym’s equipment is outdated. Average of 1-2 piece of machine are out of order due to wear and tear. Rubber chunks missing on free weights.

Then there are the high school kids from next door. They are obnoxious, loud, rude, and have zero respects for people. Constant swearing and trying to show off lead to equipment hogging for an hour at a time. The same swearing behavior can be found on the main level and library as well, where many family with kids frequent. I know kids being kids and they don’t have to be angels. Just asking them to have respect and behave accordingly when there are toddlers and kids beside them.

I will NVR go to this place again. Took the kids and we were told the kids have to swim with you u less they are 14? Waaay over priced as well.
13 May 2019 16:23
This place has lots to do for families. Great for all ages. The Vivo staff sometimes seem oblivious. Rates are decent.
09 May 2019 5:28
Staff is great, but the place itself is just OK. Swimming pool is small and always way overcrowded on weekends. Not enough gyms for everybody to play. Its getting more crowded year by year.
29 April 2019 13:40
The fitness space is well maintained and has a good selection of equipment. Decent selection of yoga classes.
27 April 2019 4:31
Very Good place for full family fun, lot of activities for kids and youth.swimming pool is a bit small for adults, but too much fun for kids, Scheduled zoomba, yoga, spinning and other classes for both adults and kds, altogether if you are looking for one stop shop for full family fitness experience then Vivo is the place.

So, overall I like the facility. What makes my blood boil is when they decided to have a gender neutral washroom. Instead of making both the men's and women's bathroom beside Jugo juice "all genders", they have an all genders and a men's washroom. This is so disgustingly sexist and hasn't changed for over a year. They are giving the message that "men are superior" and thus don't have to share with other genders. Obviously a man made this idiotic and patriarchal decision. Please fix this.
13 April 2019 9:48
Has a good gym that offers decent prices. However, the steam room and swimming pool area needs to be updated.
All in all, it’s a decently priced family friendly facility
02 April 2019 9:47
Love this place:) my kid was so scared from swimming lessons, yet somebody took her hand and sat beside her close to the pool. Now my kid looks forward to every lessons!
21 March 2019 17:56
Nice facility but other than the gym touch ups are needed (paint on the ceilings, lockers cleaned more thoroughly). The bathrooms are all energy efficient (which I’m all for) but the low flush urinals make all the bathrooms smell rank.maybe a few air fresheners would help. The hot tub is enormous and well maintained but there is not much space in the pool on any given day. Looking forward to the renos whenever they may actually happen.
20 March 2019 12:43
To be honest I only come here if market day a lot of people have issues with me but this place takes it to a different level I get anxiety doing head first surface dives because of this story when I was in level 9 swimming lessons it was with other levels so when we finished our dives they would pull us aside to the deepest part of the pool to do head first dive I did it but they said I did it wrong so they pushed me to the bottom and you guess what happened i suffocated I was gagging the instructor didn’t say any thing did try to help get me to first aid no unfortunately I had one last class here but this time I refused to do the dive so I did pass “duh Seerit it didn’t do it” you say but that was was not they reason they didn’t know why when I told them numerous time why I don’t do it they still don’t know why I used to love vivo but I go to genesis centre now they are way better
06 March 2019 21:07
Getting physical therapy on my wrist and hand. They have so many amazing stretches. I can knit and crochet again. So pleased to deal with them. Staff are very positive and know their stuff. Definitely will go back to them but hope I don't have anymore accidents.
04 March 2019 9:54
Without a doubt the grossest change room I've ever seen. People walking with their Street shoes in where others walk barefoot and nobody doing anything about it. All it would take is to the bench across the entrance but nobody cares about hygiene.

Only 1* Because "NO Star" wasn't an Option! Took my family (2 adults and 4 kids) swimming like we have done before.
I was sitting on the Bleachers that we right next to the kiddie pool watching my youngest (4 year old) daughter play on the kiddie water slide. A Tall Blonde Male Lifeguard came and asked me if the girl playing in that pool was mine, I said yes. He asked me if i would at least sit in the pool so that i'm closer to my child and said it was policy to be in the same pool as the kids, and so I agreed to move closer and did. So I sat on the edge with my feet hanging in the pool watching and waving to my daughter as she played in the kiddie pool. Then She watched to change scenery as all kids like to move and play. So I followed her over to the other side of the divide to the next shallow area with the spray park. I stood in the edge of the pool and watched my youngest as she went to join her older sister (6 years old) who was playing in the shall spray park area. A Brunette Girl lifeguard came up to me asking if I had a child in the pool and I said I had several children. Then she said they have a policy that you must be arms length from your child at all times. I suggested to her that was impossible and not going to happen, but I have my eye on them. She asked my if I was going to be able to reach my kids in time if they needed me and I said Absolutely. 2 of my kids, both the youngest (4 and 6 year olds) were about 30 linear feet away in a Foot and a half of water. My other 2 older kids 9 years old and 11 fully capable swimmers and mom were elsewhere having fun in the pool. The Lifeguard had be distracting me with their policies and I momentarily lost the exact spot my kids were and I told The lifeguard exactly that. Then I looked and pointed them out to her. Then the lifeguard said I needed to be in the pool with them. I was in the pool pointing to the ground showing I was on the edge of the pool which the tall blond lifeguard said was OK when we were playing previously on the other side of the divide which was near equivalent in depth, maybe 1 foot high water. So I told the Brunette Lifeguard I was in the pool pointing to the ground My feet were in the pool. About 2 minutes later a Blonde Girl Lifeguard came up to my and asked my to leave, and I said well if you give me my Money back we will go, she said she would talk to the front desk and we would get our money back. So I gathered my family and got them to head to the locker rooms. As we were heading into the locker rooms I asked the Blonde girl lifeguard if she had talked to the front desk yet and she said she was going now to talk to them.

So we proceeded to the front desk. I asked one guy at the front desk if the blonde girl lifeguard had talked to them about the refund, he said she had not. So I proceeded to tell him what happened, and how having kids at different ages it was impossible to always be arms length away from them at all times, and never before have I heard of this policy before today and I have been there at-least 3 other times. So I asked for a refund, he said he could not help me but he would get "the person who could" aka Stanley Ng. Stanley asked me what happened, I told him everything I had wrote above.

Stanley Ng acted "as if" he cared but you could tell he didn't care. After I had told him what happened he proceeded to just repeat back to me what happened. He also was avoiding giving me the Refund by just quoting other policies they have about Drop In fees. At that point I was very irritated cause I felt I was lied to. He suggested I was the one trying to cheat them! The nerve!

After about 10 minutes talking with Stanley, a customer service guy / DM named Jared joined in and wanted to find out what happened. So I told him what happened and he actually seemed to at least listen to me, then Jared actually suggested to Stanley Ng that they could give us a refund!
. Long story short, told us to leave! Didn't give Refund! Liars! Dishonest! And directed me to talk to Susan the "boss" on Monday.

The issues I’ve had with Vivo recently are unmeasurable. The amount of teenagers loitering in the lobby space is completely out of hand and the Vivo staff does nothing to stop them. There are large groups and crowds who block lobby/eating space instead using it to loiter. On multiple occasions I have seen them vaping in the facility, playing music loudly, and causing a huge amount of distraction through profanity and yelling. It’s really difficult for somebody like myself who frequently comes to Vivo to study, however, due to limited library space is forced to move out to the lobby to have to listen to them. I couldn’t imagine how bad of an environment is could be for anybody wanting to bring their kids into the facility to use the small recreation space either. The downstairs area and the facilities activity options themeselves are great and I have used them often, but it’s difficult to give Vivo a good review when their management does nothing to fix the very apparent issues with the lobby. Don't take your kids here unless you're willing to let them hear and see this stuff.

Still one of my favorite rinks in town. Nice large dressing rooms and a cold arena that's perfect for a hard skate!

I have come to this gym for about 7years now. I would say this is a failed customer service when I had to wait 34 minutes in line of 3 people. There were 2 girls at the front desk helping 2 families. I saw at least 4 staffs in the main floor of the gym, they were not under-staffed at that time. I would be really appreacited if one of the girl would call somebody to come and help when they couldn't handle all of people and saw people wait so long and started loosing patience. Please value your customer time.

A fun place for all ages. A good healthy get away. Awesome place. They should ha e more promotions for drop in guests. 5 Star always.

Wonderful facility with a fully equipped gym. I don’t find the pool as big as other recreation centres, but this one tends to do the job. Can get quite busy during peak hours.
