Paul and Kaitlyn have NOT been helpful in trying to figure out my fees. I contacted their office November 6 (by phone and email) and just received a call from Paul today (Nov 22). Over 2 weeks I waited for a call or email! So not ok!

I informed Paul on our call that I emailed Garby over two weeks ago about this Issue and I am upset that I am JUST getting a call back. His response was basically it’s not his problem because he didn’t know about it or receive an email, (HORRIBLE response to a client) even though Garby stated to me through email that they sent the email to Paul and Kaitlyn November 6.

I was under the impression that I paid the correct amount of fees back in July, only to learn today that I did not. (miscommunication) Paul was horrible to talk with on the phone, I have been frustrated with this situation for the past 2 weeks, and he made me even more frustrated talking to him. He stated at the beginning of our phone call that I had to go pay these other fees at Cranston, then switched it up at the end of the phone call saying I have to pay their office. I asked if I could pay right now on the phone since I’m talking to him which to the answer was NO. His assistant would have to reach out to me.

I ended up hanging up on him because I was SO frustrated with the phone call. THANKFULLY only five minutes later I received a call from someone else (not Kaitlyn or Paul) finally letting me pay my fees that I thought were already paid in the first place. (Back in July)

This whole situation took way longer to resolve than it should have. I am incredibly annoyed and frustrated.

I have worked with Sheena at Walsh LLP on a couple of occasions. She is wonderful and I would highly recommend her and her team for any legal matters that she specializes in.

Do not recommend - a lawyer at Walsh represented me with a frivolous suit where I was a defendant for a short period of time. In hindsight I should have seen the signs and exited sooner. I was initially assured that junior lawyers and clerks would do most of the work in order to keep costs down and efforts would be made to get the case dismissed. In the end every single hour was charged at the top rate, hourly fees were increased by 35% with no notice, no attempt to dismiss in fact tried recommending more complex courses of action, and of course when I finally fired the lawyer I received a hefty invoice that included work that I had not authorized.

Do yourself a favour, keep looking.

Cody Olson of Walsh LLP is very helpful, knowledgeable and very professional lawyer. I have used his service in all of my legal transactions. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Parking is readily available on the street and in an open private lot across the street. The Walsh building is connected to the +15. Also, Walsh is along the C-train's free fare zone, with the nearest stop just across the street.

Allison really worked hard for me, helped me through a really rough time. I appreciate all the effort.
