My bin been burned out for over
A year now. Nothing change. But they have been adding maintenance fee.

I had an excellent experience dealing with Dolly at the Waste Connection. Happy with services.

Be careful before signing any contract with WCC. They will tie you into a long term contract. Increase your price substantially and unilaterally. Much higher than competitors in the area. If you complain, they will lower the price but only if you sign another contract to further extend your term. If you disagree, they just ignore you. Very unethical. I have a contract with another garbage collection company who operates with a lot more integrity and better pricing and service. So it’s not like I am looking for something unreasonable. Terrible.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. We used them for 3 years and are still stuck in a contract for garbage and recycling services. We continually attempt to cancel and are not provided the information we need in order to have our bins removed and our account cancelled. We have reached out by phone and e-mail multiple times and continually get told 'we will get back to you'. We've had property destroyed by their truck drivers running over items at our business, and again told 'we will get back to you'. We've tried to contact the national phone number for the business, and their AI bot won't recognize postal codes or zip codes so it continually hangs up without the ability to reach a human. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER! It's a shame, as they used to be amazing 8+ years ago when I used them for another company. Guessing management has changed or they were bought out. Take your business elsewhere.

Wow, I wish I had the experience of these "5 star reviews" on here. Avoid Waste Connections, they have changed their name about 4 times in the past 10-15 years so that should be a concern. On top of that, they are nice to you at the start or when you want to cancel by lowering the rate but then will lock you in to a 5 year agreement and increase prices with fuel fees etc. A lot of other poor business practices they do. Look elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My company used Waste Connections (previously BFI, Progressive Waste and just recently rebranding to Growth Gratitude - all within like 10 years, that says it all right there).

My personal experience with them has been an experience from hell. I sent my cancellation request originally on Sept 29,2020, I was told at that the contract already renewed and I need to give 60 days notice so would have to try again in 3 years. Recently our business moved and we no longer needed garbage removal bins in our new space so I sent another cancellation request on Oct 20,2022. The account rep then told me that our 3 year contract isn't up until Dec 9,2023 and to end the contract we would need to pay about $3000. However, if my contract ended Dec 9,2023 my original cancellation request was about 70 days prior to the contract auto-renewing. When I brought this to their attention, again just wanting to cancel, they informed that since I paid the invoices we were accepting the terms. How the heck does that make any sense, I was told I was under contract and had no choice. This is illegal misconduct, plain as day.

After again trying to talk to them, I'm still hitting a wall. Do yourself a favor and go with any other company (Waste Management has similar customer stories - try locally based companies or have the auto-renew clause removed BEFORE YOU SIGN).

This is my last attempt to move forward with Growth Gratitude or whatever this company is called this month. My next step is legal action, this is illegal.

Thanks very much for putting the big metal waste bin right behind my vehicle because your employees were to lazy to put it at the designated spot. At heritage, mainstream location. Couldn't even drive out of my parking stall.

I was very pleased with my Waste Connections bin rental. I needed a small bin for a one day reno and they came recommended to me. Sharon helped me pick the right sized bin for the job, explained the fees and costs and arrange payment. This was my first time renting a bin, so the process was totally new to me. The bin showed up on time. Big thanks to Sharon and the team for making my experience a smooth one!

Anyone interested in using this company for any services, be aware:
They have an AUTOMATIC 5 year RENEWAL in their contract. You will not be notified of this renewal. They will charge a ridiculous fee to get out of the contract.

I have been a long time customer and have multiple accounts with them. I will be looking for a different company to do my business with.

From the initial enquiry to setting up an account, whole process was very efficient and smooth. All my questions were answered with detail explanation. Pricing is very competitive, quality of service is very high.

I just signed a new a service agreement with Waste Connections of Canada and price is very compatible. The company provides outstanding service and on time pick up in my location.

I was treated a absolutely awful by a lady named Sharon. They’re prices are awful and way over priced. Checked with other companies pricing and she said she match competitors pricing after being completely gouged for years. Then they sneakily renewed our contract without being contacted or made aware. This is by far THE most crooked company I’ve ever dealt with! Please stay away and shop around.

STAY AWAY AND READ THE FINE PRINT - I worked at a garbage disposal company prior so I know what goes on. The way I have been treated as a paying customer has been a horrible experience. I am 4 months past my original email for cancellation and we are still being billed. We paid the 13+K to get out of our contract as the business is closed and we are still receiving invoices. I ask for the invoice to be credited, "It will at the end of the month" we just got billed again. Very frustrating. I will black list this company for the rest of my life with the way I have been treated. I NEVER write reviews, I'm hoping someone will see this and fix their customer service!

I contacted Waste connections with some questions I had regarding their services. Was helped out by a young man named Layne Price who answered all of them and was very helpful. Thanks so much for your professional "can do" attitude!

They love charging service fees without warning or explanation and their customer service is abysmal! They lock you into insanely long contacts without discussion and then dismiss your concerns and questions, and don't answer or return your calls because they don't have to. You're stuck with them. Any of this would be fine if their customer service weren't so bad! And I mean BAD. Do yourself a favor- look elsewhere. In reviewing their customer reviews it appears at great majority as false reviews to boost ratings. Dealing with CROOKS: Waste Management is one of the area's worst trash haulers. They are more expensive that most others, they are combative on the phone, know absolutely the things that work to their advantage, and have no recollection - even in writing - of anything that does not provide gain for them The customer is always wrong.

The hotel where I lead the engineering department, utilizes the services of Waste Connections Calgary for Landfill Waste, Recyclables and Organics.
I had emailed to receive some details on organics diversion, not expecting that the email report would be followed up by a phone call from Waste Connections. Dharini Patel, Sales Coordinator voluntarily called in to check if I had understood the details of the report and to answer any related questions. I just signed a new a service agreement with Waste Connections Of Canada. This company has been taking care of my garbage and recycle program and now we have included the compost collection as well. This company provides an outstanding service for My Deer Ridge location. The drivers are always professional and timely. My sales person Dharini Patel has been extremely helpful reviewing and revising our agreement. The accounting and online payment and review system is thorough and accurate. I would highly recommend this company for all of your garbage, recycle, and compost pickup and disposal.
