Blonde server working last night was horrible. It's not the first time we've been served by her where she's been unpleasant either. She came up to the table and rudely asked us what we wanted to drink. Once she dropped the drinks off, she walked away. Didn't give us much time of day and ignored us when we tried to get her attention. Thank you to the lovely brown haired bartender who helped us 3 times when we had to go up to the bar to ask for food menus, cutlery for our food, and limes for our drinks. You were incredibly nice and we appreciate it. Also, thank you to the male bartender for coming to check on us because our server either disappeared or her shift ended and she didn't say anything. Being in the service industry for 10 years, I understand we all have bad days, but to have multiple bad experiences with this one specific server is a bit much.

Redoing my review as I went back, and the old karaoke host must be gone cause I ain’t seen him.

The bartender I’ve had multiple times, Gordon and the 1 waitress (idk her name) are absolutely fantastic at their jobs. The regulars are friendly and karaoke is a blast!

This goes to the slimey little pri$k that thinks he's pulling a fast one on customers.new flash bud. I've been going to bars as long as you've been alive. I'm a highball drinker.always order doubles.the first time I ever went I got the same puke and he pulled the exact same thing.but I figured I'd give it one more shot because it's only blocks from where I live.and again. I always get doubles. This guy gives me a single at best. I even try and order a second drink.he poured it and gave me Even less after paying for doubles.these kind of low life bar tenders like that should be held accountable. I'm sure I'm not the first.but I know personally will be the last

Great time for on Sundays with 4.75 highballs, good friendly staff, not to mention karaoke for all you who like to sing their hearts out. If you are in to Ufc might even beable to see Nick Ring (Canadian ufc legend) there and say hi and snag a picture. Thanks for being a nice local watering hole.

Bartender was great! Waitress on the other hand did the worst job I’ve seen in my 20+ years I’ve been in the industry. I sat at a table, waitress mad eye contact with me while cleaning a table next to mine and walked away. I waited for six songs before I had to go to the bar to order and get my drinks. She eventually came to my table, I made eye contact and was about to order a drink, a customer at the adjacent table got her attention, she turned away, took his order and walked away. Total insult. Not coming back.

Karaoke every day. If you want something that's distinct and unique, they have great food and great staff.

Went for late night karaoke.what kind of karaoke bar doesn't allow duets? Staff were absent, not checking on people as often as they should have. Only had 1 beer, could of had 3 or 4 in the time I was there. Living a block away, this is sad as I probably will not return. Had much higher expectations being off 17th.

I always loved coming to this place and always had the best servers and bar attender, this one employee (supposedly the manager) ruined it for me and my friends as he wrongly accused my friend for something he didn’t do which sucks big time for any customer, we really felt downgraded as to how he talked to us

Nice little pub that's full of local people. Very nice staff and great food. I LOVE that everything on their menu is $12 and under! Very great prices! And if you are into karaoke, they have it every night!

Karaoke IS NOT what it used to be by any standards. Too many breaks in between singers and a disregard for karaoke patrons.
Bartenders and servers on point.
But as a singer and karaoke lover this is not the place to go anymore unfortunately. Very sad. Get it together Watchmans!

Had fun tonight, sang a few songs, but I was really rusty! The staff was great and our server, Joyce was very friendly. Food was good also. I had the wings and hubby had a Hawaiian pizza. He wasn't sure about the hot sauce on top, but he finished it all, so it must have been good.

The only thing we didn't like at all was the rude long blonde hair waitress. Slamming drinks on table not a smile absolutely no customer service!

Sketchy crowd after 12pm, waitress tried to scam for an extra tip, plus the bouncer tried to make us pay our whole tables tab before leaving, despite being separate. Super divey place, wouldn’t recommend unless you like greasy spots.

Looking to sing your heart out after far too many vodka redbulls, this is your spot. Great drink specials, usually pretty fun, sometimes a bit greasy. Cant say anything about the food but not a bad stop to finish off your night with blackout and regret. Live, laugh, Watchdogs.

Ordered buffalo wraps at our table with fries and it was well done. Wasn’t that busy in here surprisingly, it’s normally crazy busy

Visiting from Vancouver for the week, the Watchman ended up being my home away from home. Gordon took care of me like one of his own. Hey that rhymed.

Had so much fun. It was nice to see everyone get along, no problems at all. We all missed this interaction with each other. So I would recommend people to check it out for them selfs. Great job everyone who works here. You really did a great job through the whole night.

The food is fantastic, and $12 for anything can't be beat! The steak sandwich and beef dip are staples and always phenomenal. Service has always been great when I've been there, and Brittany is a gem!

Super fun pub, loved the karaoke. Had a small town vibe that was super refreshing in a big city like Calgary. Will be coming back!

Enjoyed the night at Watchman's! The staff led by Kaeleigh was incredible. Can't wait for karaoke to be back with the best hosts in Calgary!

They have rapid testing so they don't discriminate between vaccinated and non vaccinated. Great job. Way to be leaders in the industry.

I don't remember being here which means it was prob a pretty good time! I'll give it 5 stars next time if I forget the visit again!

Great local dive pub. Has karaoke running most nights. Tried the nachos and they were quite good. The karaoke man wasn't very friendly. Too bad, kinda spoils the fun.

Worse service ever! The guy that bartends there, snoots at you and send very bad vibes, you get the feeling like he hates serving people and he slams drinks down and shoved you off. Doesn’t ask politely what you’d like, just sticks his chin out and shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders as if you know he’s saying what.
Asked if they’re any specials and he just pushed the standing menu at me a my buddy and walked away! My buddy has and accent and the bartender kept screaming what I can’t understand you … so I ordered for him but there’s nothing to understand besides just how rude the staff is there. Several times I went and won’t go back. Last experience just tells me the people working there seem to hate their lives period and it was awful. To be out enjoying yourself and have someone so negatively effect you because they seem to hate their job, is pretty much something people shouldn’t have to deal with and certainly a place to avoid.

Waitress took forever to serve us, (she wasn't even on the floor for 10 mins) then when she took my order, Supreme fries, it's been 20 mins and still no fries?

Dead as hell but what do you expect during covid-19! Met a new friend, and he's super cool N chillfriendly and the bar staff was awesome! Gotta love this old but new watering hole!

Server was a bit distracted/off. Forgot about our drinks twice. Other than that, great place, great locale pub.
Will be back again.

We were on a soup crawl and they had the best soup of all the soups. 10/10 for everything, great service, great drinks.

Been a couple times in the last month. Male bartender one night and female the next. Both run the entire bar and do a damn good job. Food and service is excellent!

I went once and I did not like the service. However, I went again on Friday night and karaoke was awesome. Great people, and service was just amazing. I do not know the name of the girl who served me, but she had a great attitude and tattoos all of her back.

Fast, friendly service and good price! Bacon cheese sticks were a little under for myself but for boyfriend they will make a good snack! Only left to get some dessert (boy were we sorry). Should have stayed for more drinks!

Wasn't overly impressed with the server.
The lunch, it was good. Price was reasonable. It is a good location and was entertaining watching that little part of the world stroll by.

It’s a Beltline divey karaoke bar; that should set your expectations. Having said that for what it is (karaoke!) it’s great. Staff have always been welcoming, warm and on the ball. Don’t think I’ve ever waited longer than 3-4 mins for drink order to be taken…

Trash venue with terrbile staff.the service was slow for it not being very busy. My drink had no alcohol it seemed like the staff chose to drink it instead. Avoid this place so you don't catch a disesase.should be shut down.

Kareoke like you've never seen before. Well hosted and the atmosphere is fun and drinks are great!

An impromptu night here had us all in good spirits, came for a work afterparty and karaoke happened to be on that night. Crowd is very fun and outgoing, highly recommend

Watchman pub is amazing place and affordable to hangout in. 10$ food menu with great options and are delicious. You won't get wrong with watchman pub.

Classic grunge pub, tons of Vlts, lots of old people, and you don't want to sit on the toilet seat. Grab a beer at this classic old pub, then go somewhere nice!

I had been this bar twice and I really experience the worst customer service ever, I don’t recommend this bar they are so disrespectful for customers. I think the management have to give training for the employees how to communicate with customers.

I have no relationship at all with Watchmans but I am in the restaurant business. The message from the Premier was very convoluted and not clear. He said " bars, nightclubs and casinos had to close. Pubs and restaurants could stay open"
There is no such thing as a bar, nightclub, restaurant or pub license in Alberta

There is a Class A liquor with Minors Allowed (restaurant and some pubs and you have to serve a full food menu) or Class A Liquor Minor Prohibited (limited food menu if you like, no minors and if you have VLTs, you get this license automatically)

The Premier should have been more explicit on this when announcing or at least the media release should have been.

I believe Watchmans and other places made honest mistakes in the wording of the statement.

I personally believe that all licensed establishments and sit down restaurants should be closed and Watchman's should have voluntarily closed, but if your are going to shame Watchmans, shame every place staying open.

Had a wonderful experience here during a business meeting today, my server Kaitlyn was extremely prompt and friendly. She was on point despite having to also manage the bar, the wings & ribs were excellent and I highly recommend the spot if you are looking for a nice pub to get some grub.

It's ok, the service was nice and food was actually quite good, but the real issue was general cleanliness. There were ketchup and other stains on the menus and tables, the bathroom was definitely in need of washing, and overall feel like I need shower after sitting around there. Could have been a great experience except for that.

Brandi the waitress will ignore your table as you watch her live her best life chatting and drinking with all her friends while you sit there wondering were the drink you ordered 45 minutes ago is. Good singers though.

Came in last night for my birthday. Knowing that the Saturday rotation is long but my friends and i came early got a good table and put all our songs in as we are regulars. Needless to say i will never be coming back again. I use to suggest this bar to everyone and now i won't. The host (paul) continuously let new singers sing in groups meaning a large number of people got to sing 4 sometimes 5 times in an hour. By the end of the night we had such a bad taste in our mouths about it we all agreed to never come back. It was my birthday. So disappointed in the host.

Great staff, awesome karaoke song selection. If they don't have your doing, chances are they will just look it up!

Typical dive bar. Good selection of ciders. Lots of games (VLTs, Buck Hunter, Golden Tee). Daily specials. Happy Hour from 4-6 and all day Sunday.

This place is always welcoming to their guests, the service is always good and their food is also very good

On line all their food items ate $9.95. When you actually get there the menu items are much more. Take the online menu down if it's wrong

Beware of this establishment they are very dishonest
They will scam you any way they can on your bill if you’re not looking

Good environment to watch sports/sing karaoke. Staff is always super friendly. It just gets a bit hard to walk around when its crowded.

Who watches the watchmen? Well everyone does here, especially when they sing! This place has karaoke every night of the week and has some decent drink specials, check it out and say hi to Dr Manhattan while you're there!

Incredibly, the waitress ignored my friend and I while she was chatting with her friend or coworker. With so many choices in the area it was easy to get up and leave, we went to BPs across the street and were immediately attended to. Strike Watchman's Pub off my list

Been twice in the last few years. Once went ok last time was horrible. Service was probably one of worst I've had.

Had a friend who put two songs in for Karaoke and the DJ decided to not let him sing.way too clicky if you're a new person showing up there.

The food here is ok. The service is good but the moods of the servers are not consistent. Had one server be so nice then once she had us pay because she had to move to a different section she stared right through us throughout the night. The new server who took her place wound up ignoring me after awhile but being so nice to my guy friends which is odd.
I understand being a server is hard especially in a consistently busy place like this where games and fights are played which is another plus for this place. But stay consistent.
Also when it transitions to karaoke night. Another nice way to stand out. Good job.

I can't say enough good things about Watchmen's! The menu is great, delicious and affordable. Lots of options for beers and spirits, with daily specials. Watchmen's has unmatched staff, you feel like you are friends with everyone in there as soon as you walk in. Top it of with UFC events, wings nights, and an active karaoke venue, and you have yourself a very well rounded room full of fun! Will return for sure upon my next visit to Calgary!

Great dive bar and I mean that in the best way possible. If you love kareoke and great service, this place is for you. Lucky lager on tap is also a great touch.

Website states that their kitchen is open late until 1: 30am everyday, we arrived at 12am looking for food and the waitress lets us know the kitchen closed at 10pm. I let her know the only reason we went there was for some food and that their website says kitchen open late. She really could care less. No customer service and false advertising. I guess they hope people show up looking for food and instead spend it all on booze? Wouldn't recommend going here unless your looking for unhelpful staff and a super loud atmosphere.
