We loved our experience here! The service was super friendly and our food was delicious; plus it came out really fast highly recommend when you're in the neighbourhood.

I am obsessed with dipping the rodeo burger and chili cheese fries into the chipotle mayo seriously so damn good

This was my second time at Griesbach Wayback, the first was during opening week a while back and it was not a good experience. To be honest I had forgot about the place but last night we were in the area and I thought to give it a second chance. We were not disappointed, the burgers were fantastic. Hot and fresh burgers with lots of flavour, I am now a fan. The place was spotless clean, including the bathrooms. As it was not busy the night we were there we could view the grillmaster continually cleaning his station.

Amazing chicken tenders, they are the best I've ever had which made up for the mediocre fries.the staff was very friendly and nice. The shakes were the perfect consistency. I loved the music playlist and the decorations were very interesting and unique.

The only annoying thing was the amount of customization you could get, ordering almost felt like an interview and not ordering.

But with the bill they gave those little candy things so 11/10!

Pretzel bites were as hard as a rock - no salt.
Their wings were ALL fat - very disgusting

Great food, good service. The food is made when ordered, so it is a bit slower than a typical fast food, however it is worth the extra few minutes.

Solid burger and decent value, however, I was grossly disappointed that a $7 milkshake came with whipped canola oil on top. Service could be better.

Gotta say, it hard to drink a milkshake with no straw. Soggy nasty fries. Burgers are less than worth the $60.00 for two sandwiches. No seasoning. Garnish of whatever was found on the cutting board. Simply sad as I wanted to support local but so disappointed. If possible I'd give a zero. You need a simple lesson on how to cook a burger, include basic condiments like a straw for this $7.00 milkshake we can not consume. Brutal. For $60.00. Unreal.

Hands-down, the best burger I have ever had, and the absolutely best in house made chips ever! We had the Bourbon burgers, one with a gluten-free bun and one on a lettuce wrap. Absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant. Laura our wait person was wonderful. We are definitely not in the habit of leaving reviews but we were inspired to do so today.

My server Kish was excellent. Quick service, and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back!

Wayback has been one of my favourite burger bars in Edmonton, however the last 3 visits have showed a steady decline in the food and service. The main issue is the food, both burgers and sides have been incredibly greasy. I was unable to even eat the majority of my lunch today as the grease was dripping out of both my burger and my onion rings. Wayback! What is changing there?

Food and service were great, very solid hamburgers, good sides and dessert. More expensive than McDonald’s, but for good reason, worth every penny

Ordered a few burgers for delivery. One of the burgers was missing. The burgers themselves were pretty much cloned Dairy Queen burger’s pretty much no seasoning at all. The cheese and bread were nice, but that’s all they really had going for them. Tasted more like a grilled cheese, than a burger.
The sides were pretty decent. I would come back for them.

We tried Wayback as a recommendation from a friend. Our server Perla (not sure if spelled correctly) was friendly and attentive from start to finish. We started with the appetizer trio: Mac n cheese bites, deep fried ravioli and mini pretzels. Wanted the burnt ends but they were out. Perla suggested an alternative dip for the Mac so we choose buffalo. All 3 were really good. The apple pie milkshake was the special which was delicious. So creamy and flavorful and did not last long. The burgers were very well done and flavorful. We had the Cajun tots and Irish nachos as our sides. The chili on the nachos were amazing. We will be back.

I’m a big guy, no way around it. Imagine my surprise when I’m ordering my meal and I can’t add on any chicken strips or a hotdog with my meal, if I want those, I’d have to buy myself a SECOND ENTIRE MEAL, instead of my burger, fries and drink and a hot dog I’d have to have the extra set of fries too. What kind of business doesn’t let you buy extras? Weird model for sure

After the parade downtown decided on burgers and thought we would check out Wayback burger. Very glad we did, They had Now radio there and Hunter the mascot from the oilers there. We did not know anything like that was going on but knew since there were free milkshakes going on and having more people to serve it would be a bit longer for service but that was not the case at all. We sat down right away service was fast for how busy they were as so many were coming in for Milkshakes and Hunter being there they did great still serving the customers inside. All the staff that served us or that we encountered were super nice. Food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing portion sizes for what you pay were really good. The salad was quite a big size for the price which I was impressed with and my daughter loved it. Definitely will be back.
