Joanne and the male manager who was working today were both superbly helpful.

Joanne was able to provide us assistance with strollers and the male manager with car seats.

The quality of service I get from west coast kids is notably better than that of a major nation wider competitor. It’s always nice to know the staff are knowledgeable about the products they sell.

Husband and I went in looking for a travel stroller for an upcoming trip. After hours of research we felt confident enough to go shopping. However we met Monica and the research beforehand wasn’t required. She was extremely knowledgeable, which products were compatible with which, warranties, all the functionality, the folding systems, etc. With her experience & knowledge it made the decision simple.

Every time my husband and I come here, no one says hello or asks if we need any help. Staff are always huddled together chatting. All the people entering got a hello at the door and goodbye as they left. Totally opposite experience from the WestCoast Kids I always shopped at in Toronto. I thought Calgarians were supposed to be nicer. I’ll be sticking to online orders from now on.

Cheyenne is amazing! We were shopping for a convertible car seat and was so overwhelmed by the different choices. Cheyenne took the time to explain and walk through the options with us. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, and at the same time was able to help us find the right car seat for our lifestyle. As first time parents you’re always worried about making the right choice, especially when it comes to safety, and Cheyenne made sure that we felt good with our choice. Hands down one of the best customer service experience we ever had.

We were warmly received by Monica. Her service was exceptional. We were pleased about her knowledge of the products. She showed an active interest in finding the best deals for customers. Monica is definitely an expert to talk to if one wishes to find the best products. We were very happy about the Maxi Cosi lara lightweight stroller for our upcoming travel.

Great to just go in and get an idea for what you are looking for. They only have more expensive strollers though. Would be nice for them to have all brands for a good comparison. The store is layed out nice and is clean.

Reason for one star:
I did not like the staffs approach at ALL! From the moment we walked in we were hardly allowed to just look around. Same with other customers. Honestly its like going to a car lot to just browse and they get all in your face like browsing is illegal or something. I really don’t appreciate it when I can’t just relax and see what I’m looking for without “can I help you? ! What are you looking for? ! Do you need help? ! ” In a really forceful and accusatory manner. No thanks! I will ASK for help if I need it! Yes, be available, but stop harassing people. Just because someone doesn’t have a gigantic bump attached to their front doesn’t mean they aren’t to receive polite service. I thought the reviews were kinda crazy till I experienced this store for myself. Products are crazy expensive too! Really don’t want to go back here at ALL nor do I recommend this store! Go to Toys R Us! So friendly and helpful!

My wife love the store, we started shopping at this location since our first baby that was 6years ago, and now we are shopping for second baby, the salesperson name Karen is very nice and helpful, she recommended all good and valuable products to us.

High end products that you can't find everywhere. But the staff need to calm down with their "Can I help you" every 5 minutes. Was there for 15 minutes and 3 different staff approached to ask me that. Then my husband walked in and one of the same girls was immediately on him before he even had a chance to walk 3 steps in. Left the impression that they must be extremely bored and overstaffed and have nothing to do or they want to let you know that they are watching you so don't steal which I get must be an issue but it's over the top at this store. If shoppers need help they will ask. As a retail salesperson your job is to be around to offer assistance, not jump down customer's throats at every turn.

***Just changed my review from a three to one star as I ordered online some items recently (yes it’s best to go online with this store so you can browse as much as you want without being interrupted every 5 min to answer “Can I help you? Can I…? ” and the website showed a pair of mittens that were in stock but then I was contacted by reps that it was actually out of stock. They provided an option that was $2 extra but said “unfortunately we will have to charge you the extra two dollars even though it’s our mistake”. As if their stuff is not already insanely marked up they have to nickel and dime even more. I’d love to support a local Canadian company if they weren’t so greedy but won’t be buying anything more. Everything they sell is massively overpriced already turning a huge profit for them I’m sure, so it would be smart to have more liberal policies to keep the customer coming back instead of trying to nickel and dime esp.when it’s their error, any successful business would know this if they want to keep their reputation and thrive long term

Liza is by far the sweetest and most knowledgeable member of staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of buying from. I’ve spent a lot of money at West Coast Kids (Nuna and Bugaboo) between Edmonton and Calgary, but Liza at this location is by far my best experience. My fiancé flew in from England to buy the Nuna Rava for our son, and Liza went above and beyond to make sure the sale went as smoothly and was as accommodating as humanly possible. Loved my experience and I will only ever buy from this location. Thank you, Liza! You’re the best ️

However, I have purchased a car seat and I was not told that the manufacture date is 2021 so I’m loosing 2 years of use. It got exchanged for 2022 model. Watch what product you are picking.

I usually make it about 2 steps past the vestibule before being approached to see if I need help, but yesterday I didn’t even make it past the vestibule before being swiftly approached by a sales associate IN the vestibule, asking if I was “still doing ok? ”

LOL. I’m finding it hard to keep a straight face every time I walk into this store… it’s getting more ridiculous with each time I go.

While there are some very lovely associates that work here who are not constantly hovering, there are certainly a few clueless ones when it comes to customer service and reading body language, and it honestly makes shopping there unenjoyable.

If you are reading this and work at this location (or in retail in general), please… chill out. Let us customers enter, acquaint ourselves with our surroundings. Let us approach you if we have questions. Please stop hounding us immediately as we enter (and as we shop) as if you are foaming at the mouth for a commission. It’s too intense.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit last Saturday! We'll be first-time parents, and Andrea was really nice and helpful in teaching us how to install and remove car seats in the store. This made trying out different car seats in our car quite easy! Andrea had a no-pressure approach, and let us learn about and explore car seats at our own pace. Being first time parents we were totally new to navigating what we needed in terms of gear and furniture. Leora was so patient and helpful with us! She really helped guide us to the best possible choices for us and even helped us avoid getting a car seat that turns out wouldn't have fit our car! Andrea was very helpful when we came in and were shopping for convertible car seats. She helped us for over an hour, carrying car seats out to our car to try, and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this location and ask for Andrea - she was amazing!

This place is very nice and organized. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Joanne greeted us and helped us out with everything that we were looking for.mainly the baby stroller and the Car seat. She’s very knowledgeable about the products.

We weren’t planning on spending money, but because of how she presented and demonstrated the products to us we were sold right there! Thank for going above and beyond for us Joanne.

Nice store and good selection. However this was met with a sales associate who made us uncomfortable with her mannerisms and condescending tone. We just ended up buying the items through their online store after testing it out it in-store to avoid the sales person.

The owner (s) need to review their staff as its making it unpleasant for shoppers.

We bought a toddler rail and when we installed it realized there was a defect. The staff at west coast kids were very good to deal with, in particular Jayden was very helpful.

Took a little longer then what we would have liked but that was due to the manufacture not being responsive to the initial concern.

Upon entering the store tonight I was met with a snappy lady immediately saying “uh there’s the sanitizer”. Was then rudely followed around the store like I was a criminal trying to steal. I had placed an order earlier in the day that was over $300, I nearly drove all the way back south without my products because I was so thrown off by the attitude as soon as I walked in the door.

I really don’t like to leave negative reviews unless I am really sad about a business
I bought all my son’s furnitures from West Coast around 10k $ value yesterday I went to get a bed convertor from them that we ordered before and canceled it but decided to buy it again
I am really offended by manager’s behaviour as it was 10% cheaper last time and she firmly refused to match the price. I want to her that you maybe saved 20$ but I won’t come back to your store in future and you will lose all business from me

I went into the south store to ask about bassinettes. The girl I asked had no idea what I was asking so she asked someone else who could barely look at me while I asked her some questions. She seemed annoyed I wondered around the store and no one asked if I needed assistance. They are equally unfriendly in the north store. Such a shame that Katz’s Kids closed, the staff were wonderful there and with twins I bought a lot of big ticket items there with a fair return policy. Hoping West Coast Kids goes south.

We bought a stroller, carseat, crib, and nursery glider chair at the North WCK location and were very happy with the service. The staff members (we dealt with 2 of them on different occasions) were knowledgeable about their stock and gave us all the information we asked for. The products are high quality and we are very happy with them all. I had done some research prior to going into the store so knew generally what I was looking for, and what questions to ask which did make it easier. Our orders came in surprisingly quickly (even during COVID).
I stopped in again last week and the lady who sold me our stroller and carseat (I think her name is Monica?) recognized me and asked about our son, and once she found out how big he was, reminded me to remove the infant insert in the carseat as he no longer needed it, which I found such a caring (and knowledgeable) touch.

DO NOT RECOMMEND ONLINE ORDERING WITH WESTCOAST KIDS. I ordered numerous things, was supposed to arrive in 5-8 business days. 2 weeks later I got a call saying they were out of stock and could not fill my order. Awful communication.

I CANT BELIEVE! THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! I went to WEST COASE BEACON HILL. Im okay if the price is little bit high, BUT I CANT Stand if the service is terrible! First she don’t have the product knowledge, yet she talked like she knows it, and i did proved her wrong (she didnt say sorry) which i dont care, and she said to me that I cant buy the car seat made by Italy (no need to say the brand) because its too expensive! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Which i had that carseat before! And how can she judge the buyer that quick? Where’s the ethical and morality?

ITS NEVER PLEASANT TO VISIT THIS LOCATION!
The customer service at this particular store is ALWAYS bad.the sales associates are there to make customer feel bad or to argue. The sales associates just want to tell you their version of knowledge and disagree with customer's opinions. I will always recommend to go to south location. Do not go to this location if you want to receive decent service. The sales associates are not friendly at all and never eager to help customers. I usually don't leave reviews but this is my fourth time receiving bad service at this particular store.

Worst customer service! Should be 0 stars. At NO POINT in a 2 hour long visit were we told about their HORRIBLE NON EXISTENT RETURN POLICY. They let you read about it on the receipt. They do not accept return or refunds and if something is broken it has to be reported in writing within 48 hours. Horrible customer service. When approached about it they just argue. Women who called had the NERVE to tell me that my version was uncorrected and I was told and she wasn't even there! Horrible position to put new parents in who are spending quite a bit of money. I was excited to shop at this store and they disappointed greatly. Owning 2 retail stores myself there is just no words for this. You feel taken advantage of. Don't support a place that is not upfront about their insanely strict policies and clearly don't care about people.

Honestly I have nothing but good to say about this store. I buy all my baby stuff from this store I deal with Jennifer and she always helps me find the best!
However, I have been dealing with warranty on my peg perego car seat bought from here and it all of sudden got stuck. And I couldn’t pull the straps. I went in and saw robina and she helped me and fixed it. Forever thankful for what she did and took so much stress off this as I am expecting my second shortly
