I would advise against bringing your sick child in to see Dr. Salem Tomi.
My 6.5 month old baby had been puking and had diarrhea for 24 hours. Dr. Salem told me that he was likely puking because I over fed him and that he was "a big boy", implying he was overly chunky. My baby weighs about 19 lbs which is a perfectly healthy weight. He said that the vomiting and diarrhea was not a concern, and that it was also because I was still breastfeeding instead of starting him on purees and water. His advice was to give him water, potatoes and baby cereal. I felt very disrespected and judged by the way he spoke to me, and regret being polite instead of just walking out. As my baby continued to vomit, I desperately called 811 who advised me to take him to the hospital immediately. After seeing a doctor at the hospital I learned that he had norovirus, which is an infection that can lead to serious dehydration in children that can require medical attention. He was better within 4 hours of being treated at the hospital.
I am truly appalled and upset by this whole experience. My baby did not have to suffer that long because of a doctors incompetence and disrespect towards a mother.

The front desk staff at this clinic is colossally incompetent. I haven’t been able to refill my medications for six days now. They called me back and asked me which branch of the pharmacy to send the fax to. They told me the doctor approved it. This is the second time I came to the pharmacy in vain, this time because the clinic staff forgot to send a fax. They said on the phone that they would send it now, but they didn’t do it. It is stated that the clinic is open until 5 pm, but at 4: 50 no one answered the phone. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that certain inconveniences have occurred. I hope all this will be corrected and the clients will simply be treated, and not constantly overcome artificially created difficulties.

I tried calling this clinic several times on different occasions, however they simply never answer the phone, they don't pick up the voicemails or call back. I had to actually drive to the clinic to reschedule or cancel an appointment. You guys have a no show fee:) but don't answer the phone so you can cancel an appointment and no way to book/resquedule/ cancel online. The doctors are great. My son saw dr Najat recently and she is fantastic. Knowledgeable, kind, helpful, great with kids. I wish I could just review the doctors. However, the clinic, the business itself, is poorly managed, critically understaffed, seems as there is a bit of a chaos there. The receptionists do not have time to greet clients, to answer the phones, it seems that they are generally stressed and overworked. It must be frustrating working there. Getting 2 stars because the doctors are great and the staff are just doing their best. Unfortunately, overall the business is frustrating to communicate and deal with. Luckily they take walk ins since you cannot set up appointments. I hope you guys take this constructively. The doctors and rest of the staff need a better, more organized working environment and the clients as well. Times are changing, expectations are changing and it seems as if you are falling behind.

I like my doctor at this clinic he has been my doctor for a long time, I had to follow him because he moved to this clinic, but I don’t like how the front desk staff operates, they don’t pick up the phone on time, and when they do they will keep you on hold for awhile and hang up on you for no reason. The front desk staff are a bit rude, very disappointed

Nothing out of the ordinary. Customer service was ok I guess. Doctor Mohammed was okay I guess.it's a medical clinic!

Don’t go here not good! Need to stay away! Lost me as a patient not going back will find a new doctor that will work with me not at me and do as I ask not as he wants. STAY AWAY.

Today - a long weekend Monday, I really needed to see a doctor, before leaving on a trip for an extended period. Of course my normal family doctor is unavailable, so I called here and I was able to get an appointment the same day. (Im a bad skin picker, and my scalp is killing me - Folliculitis.)
I'm always leery of new doctors, I've had some bad experiences with folks in the past just blaming everything on being a type 1 diabetic and not actually helping, and also spent years being treated for something I didn't have (and ended up being wayyy worse than they all thought!) - but honestly, I was immediately impressed.
Front office staff was friendly, place was clean - and upon meeting Dr. Tomi, I was immediately comfortable. He listened to the backstory of my problem, and instead of blowing me off and referring me to a specialist (like many have done before) that would take months to see - he simply helped. I asked probably an annoying amount of questions, and he answered them all patiently and with compassion. He even laughed at the bad jokes I made to try to feel less embarrassed about the stupid problem I caused myself.
Not only that - but he went above and beyond, offering to try something to help with the root of my impossible to stop picking problem, instead of just helping me heal and clear up my head only to destroy it again.
I realize most people don't leave their medical history in a review - but I wanted to highlight it because every other time I've asked for help, from Dermatologists to GPs - they either told me it should clear up, or gave me the bare minimum assistance and sent me on my way.
So in conclusion, I'm writing this from the parking lot out front - because it honestly takes a lot to impress me, I can be a bit of a Karen sometimes.but here I am - impressed, and very optimistic for results for the first time in years.

Visited here today.dr Salim is no nice and cool.made my son so comfortable while checkup. 5 star to him from my side. And also the lady at the reception was so welcoming to us.

First time I’ve met a doctor who really cares about their patients and has compassion. The front desk staff is great too, always friendly, quick, and efficient.

The staff is great here, front desk and the doctors. This is the first doctor's office where the doctors have actually listened to what I have said and gotten me the help that I've needed I've gone through my whole life with doctors telling me what I'm feeling is wrong and that doesn't happen here and it is the most seen I have ever felt this Clinic is run by a family who seems to have the most morals and care for the people I have ever seen I love this Clinic. I'm originally from Toronto and it took me a year and a half to get to work 10 years in Toronto seeking help never got me.

FD staff is not very friendly answering the calls.
It's not easy to get an appointment because of the work schedule. When I asked if they could email me when the certain dates will be open she cut me off and said to call back.

West Oliver is the Best Dr. Office! The Staff are absolutely Amazing! They are the most kind, caring, thoughtful and accommodating ladies! The Dr's here ARE the BEST! They are most compassionate, understanding and very thorough. The Doctors here take the time to listen!

A great doctor and staff. Specially Dr. Salem Tomi; he really cares for their patients. He took time to answer any/all questions despite it being a very busy practice.

Every visit is the same- awesome. Dr. Tariq makes a really good job and answers all the questions you have (it’s important for Ukrainians as I am). I like the way his assistant (Katherine) speak with people- so respectfully and always trying to help you in any way she can.

I have been served by the family doctor Dr Tariq Alshawabkeh for 6 years, and I am very satisfied with the service, he is a good doctor

Dr. Tomi and Tanya were wonderful and addressed a lot of my questions patiently. The star docked was because the reception really could use some revitalization.

This clinic is busy all the time no matter what or how busy they are, the front staffs are really helpful and respectable

This is the only clinic that I've been that every staffs are very helpful. Even on my first time here. The staffs are very polite, they will assist you no matter how busy their are. I will highly recommend this clinic. Very clean and neat.

Terrible experience. Appointment was at 10: 20, got a text that the doctor is an hour late and to come at 11: 20. At 11: 20 there was about an hour wait in the waiting room and another hour in the doctor’s room. Please save your time and avoid going to this place.

My whole family have been patients of Dr. Salem Tomi for a long time now. He gives us excellent care and service. But the one that makes this clinic special is Michelle, manager of the reception. She goes out of her way to accommodate you when their is an emergency. Her compassion and professional manner combined makes her an ideal manager for this busy clinic. She is an asset to the doctors here.

The phone call for the appointment were handled seamlessly and the front office assistant and doctor 's are very comfortable and so good.

I had a very good experience with the West Oliver Medical Clinic, The doctors were so thoughtful and addressed the concerns well. Especial mention to the front office assistant Catherine Sheeba who made the whole process so seamless and she was so professional and kind. Strongly recommend the clinic to all my folks.
