West Side Acura

Bought my RDX over a year and still receiving great service from Jeff Ma. Great customer service and awesome responsiveness. Highly recommended.

At the end of November 2023, I struck a large mule deer while driving my Dodge Durango on a deserted secondary highway. My wife and I were spared injury, but our seven-seater Dodge was totalled.

Thus began our search for a good, used, replacement SUV.

An initial search of the primary online vehicle resellers-CarGuru, AutoTrader, Kijiji Auto-produced few results, with only a few dealers listing suitable product (our specifications included a minimum of 6 seats to accommodate booster seats for our young grandchildren) at a greatly inflated price.

Three weeks later we'd wasted more than a little time examining vehicles which proved to be less-than suitable for our purposes, those SUVs having proved to be 'loss leaders' advertised at lower prices simply to get unsuspecting buyers onto the sellers' lots.

After examining a handful of vehicles over the next few days, again, none of which were suitable, I received an alert via my CarGuru.ca account that a 6-seat Hyundai Santa Fe XL had just been traded in at West Side Acura.

When I logged onto the Westside website the vehicle had been listed, but without photographs or a price. Thinking that this finally might be 'The One', I called the dealership and was transferred to Marty, one of the company's top salesmen.

And that's where it all started to go right.

Marty listened to my story, and truly seemed to sympathize with our plight. He was up-front and honest, stating that he knew little about the status of the vehicle since it hadn't yet been examined by the dealerships team of mechanics. But he said he'd contact me as soon as he had any further information to share.

Marty called me early the next morning to let me know he was going to text me photos' of the Hyundai he'd personally taken. He reported that the vehicle was in good condition, and urged me to view it ASAP since he didn't think it would be on the lot for very long.

He was right. That same day I drove to Edmonton in the company truck to meet Marty and test drive the Hyundai. In person, Marty was a pleasant, personable, and helpful as he'd been on the 'phone. He stopped what he was doing upon my arrival at the dealership, and arranged for me to view and test drive the vehicle right away.

Bottom line: 45 minutes later I was sitting in Marty's office signing off on the Hyundai, and thanking Marty for his good service.

A few days later I returned to Westside Acura with a cheque to find the Santa Fe washed, polished, fully fueled and ready to go. While I was in the finance manager's office-another terrific chap-Marty had the licence plate installed and started the Santa Fe so it would be ready for my grandson to drive back to our home base.

In conclusion, I can honestly say that dealing with Marty and the folks at Westside Acura was the easiest, most pleasant experience I've had over 40+ years of purchasing vehicles. I highly recommend Westside Acura and its staff to anyone looking for a good deal on a new or used vehicle. 5/5 stars!

I have been bringing my 2015 RDX for service at West Side Acura since i drove it from the lot and have always had a wonderfully experience and left happy with the service and quality of work they have provided. Everyone greets you with a smile.

This year, I have had the pleasure of dealing with GP Senthilselvan (Service Advisor) and he is incredible. Very helpfully, personable and caring. He quickly remembered me the first time we met 6 months ago by name and before he pulled my info which i found impressive these days! I was also pleased to get Matt as the technician that helped address the problem with my car. Matt answered all my questions and provided a clear explanation of the issue and the steps he took to correct the fault. Both Matt and GP were so easy to talk to and not only did they help fix the problem but also sent me off with warm holiday wishes!

Thank you Matt and GP for being so awesome, it is because of you that I always return to West Side Acura. Hope you have an amazing holiday and a Happy New Year!

I would not give a five star review, but in this case I have the need to say GP Senthilselvan, my service advisor was attentive took the time to hear my concerns, when he could not answer my questions he brought Matt (mechanic) into the conversation to assist. GP kept me updated throughout the day his level of customer service was so appreciated. It's not very often you find people like this, I will definitely be requesting GP on my next service.

Recently purchased a 2023 RDX from West Side Acura. My sales rep Alissa was phenomenal, she was able to answer every question and took the time to explain every feature the vehicle has. She also has been following up to make sure everything is going well over the first week and she's always quick to respond to email or text.

I am writing this review 6 months after I purchased my 2022 Acura TLX A-spec from West Side Acura.

The salesman who sold me the car is Marty Q.who was very pleasant to deal with even when I showed up to the test drive and inquiry about the car in an older Ford model and as a younger male he took me seriously and treated me with respect, while other dealerships would not do so and would think I am there to waste their time.

Marty truly made the process easy and tried to give me as much as he could for my trade in which was more than other dealerships would offer.

After months of waiting for the car, as everything was slow due to COVID, Marty would keep me posted on when the estimated delivery would be.

During the installation process of the winter tire and other added packages, Marty would again keep me updated and would send me photos of the progress they had made.

When the car did arrive, Joey V.from the finance department was very pleasant to deal with and had answered all of my concerns and questions calmly and with patience. He was very transparent with everything and would not hide any fees or other charges.

Unfortunately, I had some minor-medium problems with the car, but this obviously is not the dealerships fault. On the contrary, when I would advise Marty of what is happening, he would very quickly react and set up a date for me to bring in the car and get a loaner. I am still having minor issues that will be taken care of at the beginning of July.

Finally, I would definitely recommend this dealership as they offer great products and customer service. I will most likely be a customer here again, and I am therefore giving this dealership a frim 5-star review.

We recently bought a new vehicle from Westside Acura and the whole experience from start to finish was stellar. I go here often to service my RDX, so I’ve had both good and bad experiences.
But I’m writing this to appreciate how the service staff handled today’s incident.
Basically, I had a question that had to be answered in person. I showed up with no notices or apportionment, just to find them extremely busy with other customers.
Not only the advisor didn’t turn me away for showing up without an appointment, but when asked the question that he didn’t know the answer to, he found me a technician who did. Anyways, thanks to them both for acknowledging me and thoroughly answering my question. I left feeling satisfied!

I took my in law’s for car for servicing the other day. The Chinese guy did a great job cleaning my car! Recommend the service department here.

I just purchased a 2022 MDX and it's been great. The car is fantastic and the buying experience was exceptional. Our salesman, Jeff, was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the cars. During the pick up of the car, Jeff was very thorough with all the features and made sure we didn't have any questions about it. It made for a relaxed and pleasant experience. Not only did we have an amazing experience dealing with Marty Quon when we bought our RDX last fall, but when we blew a tire and punctured our rim the other day, Marty advised that he included a 1year coverage on our sale, and we didn't have to pay the $1300 for the new tire and rim! I recently was trying to find a vehicle and after every other dealership marking the prices up so high and almost $10,000 in extras and no inventory, I felt at a loss.
I walked into Acura West and Marty was amazing. He was so professional and relaxed and friendly. I found my vehicle and the process of signing was very cut and dry. Marty Quon recently help me, when i was deciding on buying a Acura RDX I went ahead and put down 1k to order a RDX from the factory, but then I decided to change my mind on buying a RDX and decided to buy a Toyota GR86 instead, and I called him about it that I changed my mind about buying the RDX and he had no hard feelings about it and he was still happy that about my purchase he was really friendly the entire time talking to him and I asked for the refund and he gave it back to me right away, he made me really comfortable with Acura, I will still consider buying Acura in the future.

I recently purchased a 2022 Acura RDX from Justin Leroux. My experience dealing with Justin and Andrew in Sales was a very positive experience. They provided me with the expertise I needed to make an informed decision, there was ‘0’ pressure involved, and they were completely upfront about the wait times and delivery. Excellent experience on all fronts! Sale's process was acommodating & efficient with Jeff and my recent service experience was great with Aubrey & Chris.

After weeks of diagnosis and trying to figure out where a certain noise is coming from on my Brand new 2021 TLX Aspec. The service team found a solution. Glad to say the service team, advisor Aubrey, service manager Chris and the mechanic team out back helped out alot! The service was amazing from booking a time for me to come in and have a loaner ready to go for me to keeping my car till they found the issue. All warranty work as well as my regular service all done!

After having spent a fair bit of time determining which vehicle we wanted to go with we decided on picking up an Acura RDX. That left us with 2 dealer options. We first went to the south dealer as it was closer to us. We left with a bit of a sour taste as the salesperson felt like a typical dealership stereotype. The location was very dark and felt in a bit of disarray.

I reached out to West Side Acura to get a appraisal of my current car. Marty reached out to me shortly after. He was very response and answered all my questions.

Once I came into the dealer, Marty was very knowledgeable and walked us through the car we were looking at. He also went over all the pricing details, was very open and upfront about everything. Nothing felt like there was hidden fees or charges. He made me feel very comfortable and I can honestly say in all my years dealing with a dealer, I've never left feeling so good. THIS is the experience everyone should have when going to a dealer. You shouldn't leave feeling confused and wondering if you got a good deal, or if you got hosed somehow. You should be ecstatic! My Acura 2019 ILX has been dying on me at random times. About 6 times in the past 4 months, I took my battery to be tested, paid 60$ and they said my battery was fine. After getting sick and tired of having a dead car I just went and bought a new battery from Canadian tire and decided to test my original battery and it came back that it needed to be replaced. I have absolutely no confidence in the service department.

The parts department is great and very helpful especially with my 2007 Acura TL from bolts to hold my license plate on to finding OEM body parts for my 14 year old 3rd Gen TL. Thank you

We reached out to West Side Acura about a pre-owned RDX that we liked online. The main problem was that we're from Calgary and I didn't want to drive to Edmonton if I wasn't entirely sure it was as good as the pictures online looked. Justin had a very detailed video made for me where he walked through everything inside and out, including every imperfection, so that I knew exactly what to expect so that there would be no surprises if I decided to come up to Edmonton. A few days later I drove up to Edmonton and was greeted by Justin and Alissa. Alissa gave us a detailed demo of the vehicle and was very friendly and knowledgeable, answering every question I had and ensuring we were well taken care of. The test drive went smoothly and we were really impressed with the quality of the vehicle (I've had my eye on an RDX for some time now, so wasn't surprised). The overall experience at West Side Acura was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Justin and Alissa at WSA to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Well worth the 3-hour drive from Calgary and would definitely consider shopping there again when I'm in the market for my next Acura.

My wife and I were planning on getting a new SUV but were in no rush. We decided to stop by West Side Acura and see what they had. We were immediately greeted by the lovely staff.

After a few mins of looking at vehicles, Victor came up and asked if we had any questions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my questions and even showed us stuff we didn't know about the SUV. We went on a test drive on the RDX A-spec; once we got on the road, I immediately loved how the vehicle handled and drove. Victor also showed us nifty features of the vehicle.

I have to say this was one of the most pleasant times spent purchasing a new vehicle. Bought a 2021 Acura RDX A-Spec (Platinum White Pearl, Ebony Leather with Contrast stitching) love the unit, the sales representative Marty Quon, top notch, informative, pleasant, friendly, always responsive and accommodating. My flight was delayed, and they still stayed and waited till i arrived. With that service, how can you not come back for another one in future or refer them to friends. Bought my Acura TLX back in September and dealt with Alissa. She was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual sales reps you find in car dealerships. Not only was she friendly and polite but she was also impressive knowledgeable about every little feature about the vehicle which made me trust I was getting a good vehicle.
Alissa's customer service went beyond the point of sale. When my car battery was causing me issues, I called the dealership and they told me I would have to wait 3-4 days as there was no loaner available. Speaking with Alissa, she was able to get me in the next day and provided me with a vehicle same day. That is the type of treatment that will make me an Acura customer for life. I buy a tl from this dealership and they told me that 150 point checked and the very first day I realized that no heat on the driver seat so I told them and they said come by they ordered wrong part so I have to go 2 more time and wasted my time the worst part is I have engine knock sound very fake service desk guy short with glasses was very rude I don't recommend any one

Great to deal with at the beginning but when you live outside of Edmonton and have multiple service issues that only can be service in Edmonton the my 5 Stars is Now 1 Star.
Just got rid of the vehicle as my wife was sick of dealing with Honda and West Acura.
My last conversation with West Acura’s manager was he told me to call 1 - 800 Acura. Unreal.
People don’t buy from this dealership if you live out of town.

The advisor was not very professional in resolving issue or concern. The dealership think that they can just brush offthe issues or concerns under the rug or ignore them will fix the problem. Bad bad idea. Don't let them sweet talk to you. Be ware! They just care about your money.

I love this dealership - it's well run and they treat you right. I've dealt with other dealerships on other new and used vehicle purchases and service, Acura and others, and have had some nightmare experiences in the past, and the others don't come close to West Side Acura. In fact, I live a handful of blocks away from the other Acura dealership in the city but it is well worth my time to drive across town to West Side Acura. I've owned an Acura RSX, MDX and now an RDX, and my family owns or has owned several Acura and Honda vehicles as well, which are extremely reliable vehicles. On my RDX, I've only had one recall (airbag) and one minor issue covered by the warranty in the 5 years I've owned my RDX and all of the service and maintenance has been done at West Side Acura. I bought the RDX as it was smaller than the MDX I owned, and it had the most horsepower of all similar sized SUVs, luxury & otherwise, at the time. I had to give up a handful of features to get the smaller size but nothing I've really missed. I'm really happy with the RDX and a few of my friends have them now as well with similar satisfaction levels. It's a comfortable vehicle on long and short trips, has good gas mileage for an SUV and it provides a great driving experience overall. My previous vehicle was another luxury automaker's lemon I bought new and I went back to Acura because of the reliability.

In 2013, I purchased my 2014 RDX from Victor at West Side Acura. I got a reasonable price for my BMW trade and paid a very reasonable price for the RDX. I did my homework and had a lot of quotes in AB and BC. Both the sales and service experience from West Side Acura has been stellar. The shuttle drivers are safe and great to chat with when I can't wait, and when I wait, it's never long. My vehicle is always washed and the price is exactly as quoted. Warranty work is clearly identified and I've never received a recommendation to buy something I don't actually need. I've found the sales and services staff to be honest, friendly and extremely helpful. West Side Acura is an outstanding dealership and I really hope they never change!

I went into West Side Acura for the 1st time in August. I was intrigued with the 2019 RDX. My wife and i were greeted by Raymond Li and after advising him of our interest in the RDX, we got the full tour. We found Raymond to be extremely personable and knowledgeable about all the various options in the RDX models.

Of course my wife fell in love with the vehicle but i wasn't prepared to buy as we were just starting to look at all the competitors vehicles. I went to 5 other different manufacturers dealerships afterwards over the span of 3 months and the only one that provided us with an exact price and complete breakdown of fees and charges was West Side Acura. With West Side Acura, there was no trying to bury additional supposed optional services that we didnt ask for or want and i think that's what drew us back there, plus the RDX A-Spec had pretty well everything we wanted.

Raymond made sure we knew exactly what was on the invoice. There was no high pressure sales tactics.

Once we decided to go with the A-Spec, we went in on Thursday. Raymond made the purchase process smooth. Kevin Mitchell, their finance manager was equally as fantastic to deal with. The whole process took less than an hour from start to finish. We picked up our new A-Spec on Saturday and again, another outstanding experience. Raymond took as much time as we needed to orient us about our A-Spec. I'm sure if we didn't get undercoating and 3M treatment, we probably could have picked up our RDX on Friday.

I have dealt with Marty Quon at Westside acura for close to 10 years now, and he has just put me in the drivers seat of my 3rd Acura. I have never received such great service from a dealership, and Marty is the reason i have kept my business at Westside all these years. In fact, i live in Calgary, and make the trip 3 hours north just to deal with him, and deal with Westside Acura. Marty is completely honest, humble and personable, and not your typical car sales guy - he takes the time to get to know his clients, and ten years later remembers details about me and my family. Just as important, he makes the entire transaction so easy. A Westside Acura customer for life!

I came in for an exchange of winter tires, and I got cleaning done with it. I was very impressed with the cleaning done by an Asian fellow. He made it spotless and I am impressed with the quality!

Ive been dealing with westside acura since i moved to edmonton in 2013. I have a 2013 ilx dynamic. Recently there was a loud rattle coming from the rear end, replaced both dampers, and left to only have the noise return, but louder then when the car first went in. Aubry was quick to take my call, when i explained the noise was still there the first thing he asked was when could i return to have the car looked at.

This past saturday, i arrived at the dealership, and the mechanic personally came out and asked me to explain the noise and where i thought it was coming from. I left for the day with a loaner car, when i returned the noise was gone. I cant tell you how happy i am that my car is quiet again in the passenger compartment. Thanks again westside for all you guys do, my business will remain with you in the future.

My fiance and I just purchased a vehicle from the team at West Side Acura. Buying a car can be an uncomfortable or high pressure experience, but Justin Therox provided excellent support to us. He knew his inventory and products, asked what was important to us and never pushed too hard. After looking at other dealerships (including Acura South), this was a total relief. When it came to making a deal they were very clear on any and all costs. This included working with the Finance Manager Joey who never tried to rip us off with extra addons after the price was agreed upon.

Being a customer of this dealership since 2015 when I got my first TLX, I've had an amazing experience, everyone was very warm and welcoming. But, I have to mention two people/team I worked with, Justin Farnham and Allan Bridges, these two where amazing in any aspect, they went above and beyond my expectations, and did everything they could to make sure I was happy and comfortable. Recently I got my second TLX, did not have any dilemma where to go, and whom I'll work with. We just bought a 2019 are DX from this dealership. This is the third vehicle we have bought from Acura. On all three occasions we dealt with sales consultant Marty Quon. Very enjoyable experience! From the moment I walked into the store the atmosphere was simply different, and by different I mean they were dressed well, friendly, accommodating and actually listened to my needs. Sales advisers KNEW THE PRODUCT IN AND OUT which was very different from competitor stores I shopped. My vehicle did not arrive for 1 week and they were kind enough to supply me with a vehicle to drive at no charge!
