I was pleasantly surprised to see this mall to be moderately busy and it does seem to be genuinely cherished by the local community. I'm someone who appreciates the older styles and architecture, so I really liked how this mall has a mix of the old and new. I can't speak for the other reviews which question the safety of the area as I felt pretty safe at my visit. I did like the mix of local and big chain stores as it offers variety. My only criticism is the inconsistency of some local stores which range from having storefronts which look unorganized to variable customer service at some stores. These factors can contribute to a bit of unprofessionalism and a jarring juxtaposition against the more bigger commercial brand stores. I hope this mall does well in the future and has more thriving years to come.
The mall is not modern but the shops available are useful for essential shopping! They have Safeway and Walmart with dollarama at the back! There is also a sportcheck in the mall!
I have been coming to this mall for years, and in all that time, it hasn't really changed one bit. Personally, I would say that this place is in need of some renovations, as it has the same layout and fixtures from years ago. They used to have water features near one of the entrances near the BMO bank, but they were removed years ago. Overall, this is a decent mall in the sense that it has a Safeway and a Walmart as anchor stores. The food court is good and has a couple places worth checking out, including the "My Donair" and " Dragon's Lair Burger". Overall, a good mall to get your groceries and have a bite to eat, but if you are looking to go shopping for the holidays, I would look elsewhere for more variety.
Lots of convenience stores, great variety of places to go shopping from grocery, dollar store, coffee, restaurants, even a mail and copier. Great location
Experience at Walmart is often hit/miss. I often leave feeling like I have to prove that I am not a criminal. It Mars the overall experience at Walmart. During today’s encounter with security verifying the purchased items per my receipt, I felt like pulling out my Maserati keys and highlighting that no petty theft would be worth the risk of the current life my family and I enjoy.
The mall was once busy when I was younger, back when they had Dan Francisco store their. Heard rumours of them adding another floor and making the area great again. Miss the old mini carnival that set up there back in the day. Hopefully something gets done to bring back it’s bustling days.
Never too busy. There aren't many stores here but lots of places to get your hair done and the major things you would need (safeway, walmart, dollar store, and sport check)
The mall has changed their hours, but not all the shops/food outlets have changed their own website info to match. Get there long before 7pm if you want food.
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, Regular grocery shopping as I'm able to navigate with my walker or Scooter, but today's shopping was done with my walker. I found EVERYTHING on my list. I even had lunch at Subway. Love Westbrook Mall as I know where everything is. A few of the Vendors if it wouldn't be the Coronavirus, we would have HUGGED each other. I'm even feeling invigorated.
A good mall, serves the neighborhood well Has all the usual big stores for your shopping needs. Easy to find off Bow Trail, pay attention to the access points Please wear a mask
This Walmart is big, especially the food section is huge compared to other Walmarts in the city. You will find almost everything, from mobile protectors to pillow covers in here.
It was awesome, the place was quiet few people here and there, thats why it was easy to shop no big line ups awesome staff, stores we're safe just DON'T FORGET YOUR MASKS seriously you can get beat up no just kidding but STAY SAFE,
I like it for reasonable prices. It has a while section for Indian food items. There are also other exotic food ingredients available. Clothes are cheaper than superstore. Fresh produce is also good. Organic food items are also available.
Local, generic malls were on their way out long before the pandemics. There is nothing positive to say about this one. Walmart on one end, Safeway on the other and something in the middle. I doubt it will survive.
Used to goto school in the area not a bad spot to stop in get some donair or a bite to eat not a very big mall but sometimes you would find somthing cool kicking around if your in the area and bored not a bad spot to just walk around.
That's me at the Westbrook Mall Foodcourt need I say more. SECURITY WHAT'S THIS GUY DOING! Actually see the the lady behind me over my right shoulder.she sketched me out a little I won't lie.
Not to family friendly in the evening. Approached a few times for spare change and for smokes. Pretty sure I saw someone OD at the front doors. Had to explain to my kids why the people were napping on the ground.
You know this place could be something great but it's not. I wish we could knock this place down and redo it. I have personally had numerous suggestions on this property ever since I used to go to Ernest Manning beside it.
I want to buy 'Safety 1st Rebel II Jogging Stroller', but I can't check out because the fail of the computer system, the maniger tell me so? ! Don't understand!
I’ve watched someone be robbed in this mall. I’ve been pepper sprayed in this mall when someone was sprayed while trying to commit a theft and the pepper spray went through the entire ventilation system. I’ve seen a woman passed out in her own piss in the washroom at this mall. One morning I came to find out a man had literally bled to death outside the mall doors and the sidewalk was stained. I saw an elderly man hit by a car in this malls parking lot. This mall has a reputation for a reason. They also employee the strangest people you’ll ever encounter. I will say though, the security guards of this mall are phenomenal people who are incredible at their jobs. Their job isn’t an easy one.
The stores that they have are great and there are a variety, such as, sports store-Sport Check, thrift store-Dots, Dollar store, a shoe store-Payless, and, a store with a wide selection of bags/suitcases/lunch kits. Though their washrooms are quite unsanitary with toilet paper on the ground in the stalls. I would just prefer a bit more attention to the stalls but, I get that the mall is very big and that you can’t always be watching for the bathrooms, and if they are dirty. It is a very easy to stop by and grab a few things type of mall. Plus, I really like how there is a Walmart connected to the mall, though there is another one very nearby. Overall I would recommend this mall, it is not too small and has basically everything you would need either last minute, or just don’t have.
Nice, Convenient location, easy access through bus and train as well. Very near from Westbrook train station, in the mall there are many stores, all kind of stores are there, supermarkets, clothing store, food court, restaurants, gift shop, game shop, mobile and electronics shops, etc. Free parking and wheelchair accessible entrance and all.
Lots of the shops don't open until 10am. It was held a voting station here and some shops could have had the advantage of having customers due to that fact.
