Westbrook Veterinary Clinic

Called first thing in the morning and was able to get my dog seen almost right away for a severe dog infection. She was admitted for a day procedure and was so well taken of. The entire staff was incredible and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Everyone was so compassionate and wonderful. I had messaged online on a Sunday evening as I was worried about our dog, Lana responded right away and got us in first thing on Monday morning. I can't thank you everyone enough for the kindness they showed to a very worried dog mom. Thank you!

These are good, caring people. Came across a wounded jack rabbit today, didn't know what to do, so I walked into the clinic to ask. They helped blanket and collect the rabbit until animal rescue can come pick it up. They did this without question or hesitation. The care they put into this work they are under no obligation to do says a lot. It was a nice moment, shared with good people. This Mandela quote flashed into my mind in the during the process:

Very sweet acknowledging staff, amazing doctors, I’ll only bring my cats here from now on. Amazing care for my kitten, they were spoiling her when she slept over before her surgery! I loved to see Dr. Michael Kolla caring for my Tiana he is a very good doctor! Receptionists are very kind and understanding! Affordable prices! They even send you a little reminder card! It’s very helpful especially when you have to do so many things in your day!

I fully trust the staff at Westbrook Veterinary Clinic when taking care of my puppy. She recently had an out-of-the-norm spay surgery there and the procedure went great and she is recovering wonderfully. Previously she was sick and had to stay overnight in their hospital and knowing that they were taking care of her made me feel at ease. The staff also go above and beyond to help where they can with insurance claims which is incredibly appreciated. I recommend this clinic to everybody!

I went there for my furry baby -Ear infection.
She get that every summer, so I showed them past 2 year test, medical records from reputed hospitals. So she need only eardrop to control that. Even the name of that medicine also in the record since she had chronic allergy.
Their first question when enter hospital is do u have insurance?
And then they decide plan to get more money. They gave a plan including “ANESTHESIA “ for ear infection of 1000 dollars test and treatment. And include plucking ear hair when the ear is swollen.
I went out paid their F…g consultation fee and next day to VCA. They analyzed everything and Gave a 60 dollar ear drop 2 weeks now she is healthy perfect.
Instead of doing anesthesia, their stupid treatment to get money from insurance they want to play with our loved ones.
No work ethics money minded, treatments.
Good luck guys. Don’t play with others “loved ones” to make money.

Front staff is awful. Not friendly at all. Went 4,5 times when our cat was ill. Every time the staff was terrible.

The staff is super friendly. They tell you up front what to expect. I am definately bringing my pets there for any needs.

I went into the clinic for a Meet and Greet with the vet and have them give my new cat a health check. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even noticed my cat was due for a vaccination and made sure to get that done before I left. Will definitely be recommending to friends and neighbours.

Dr. Kolla & his team are great. They are very available even in these difficult times. Great service in emergency situations & a range of options is explained. They also do boarding & all my dogs have loved it there

I highly recommend this place for your dog. Our schnauzer is very nervous and unfriendly and they were so patient in his vaccines appointment. The staff is awesome.

My cat’s tail was accidentally caught in the door in the midnight. Westbrook accommodated us right away in the morning for her surgery. Dr. Kolla & his team is very professional & knowledgeable. They provided us the optimal solution to treat my baby cat and explained the whole process to me in every single detail. No unnecessary exam/charge. My wife initially selected this clinic because of good the reviews and its proximity location to our home. After our puppy’s first consultation and round of needles. She says she wouldn’t go anywhere else the level of professionalism is outstanding.very patient friendly staff.the attending Veterinarian even called after our puppy was at home for a couple hours to make sure he was fine and incase we had any questions or concerns. Dr. Kolla has been our vet since 2012. From the simple checkup, annual routine to any emergencies we had to deal with, he and his team always been there for us. The care, the hearth, the passion and his knowledge make the perfect recipe. Westbrook Veterinary clinic always went above and beyond with me and I highly recommend them.

Visited this bet twice now for our new cat. My fiancé and I were super impressed with the service. Dr. Kolla also called and chatted with my fiancé about the clinic when we first brought our cat in. It was really nice of him to reach and it felt like a great welcome. They also have great Covid-19 protocols and come to get your pet outside. Really smart system! I couldn’t be happier and I know our cat is in great hands.

We recommend Westbrook to anyone with pets! They really put our puppy and his wellbeing first! Our dog is a super social puppy and has unfortunately picked up a couple of viruses from his puppy pals and Westbrook has always made room to see him on a moments notice! They take incredibly good care of him, like he’s their own and he absolutely loves visiting! A dog that loves going to the vet, that speaks for itself!

I have trusted this clinic with the care of my lab for the past few years. They have always been fantastic. There have been times that I have lots of questions and each vet has taken the time out of their day to phone me and spend time addressing my concerns.
I wanted to personally thank Vet Ernie, as I recently had to make the difficult decision to have my dog euthanized. She was no longer having the quality of life she deserved and Ernie spoke with me at length to help me with my decision. He and the rest of staff were caring and genuine. I know it can not be easy for people to have assist in this procedure, no matter how many times they have done it. I am truly thankful for all that were involved in Dora's care. You really made the process easier, and I take comfort in knowing my Dora was always safe in your care.

They were so good with my Daisy. It was her first puppy visit, and they showed her lots of love and treats, and they were very quick with her. Gave me lots of information of what to expect after getting needles and her chip done.

Brought my dog in because of a hunched back, and because my regular clinic was booked up. Initial exam went well, but when Dr. Kolla called after, he started by trumpeting up his clinic and then immediately pushed X-Rays, without telling me a suspected diagnosis or touching on cost. I didn't like this at all, because if I bring in my pet and he's in pain, the first thing I want from the vet after the exam is what they think is wrong, followed by justified next-steps and cost. I don't care that your clinic is there for 40 years or that you have a specialist surgeon - keep in mind we are not even his clients, so it felt like he was pushing his clinic.

After the X-Rays, it was the same: some alarmist stuff about how my dog can be paralyzed, how the vet suffered a back injury (I'm sorry for him but I'm there for my dog, not the vet, so I don't care), and immediately meds were pushed without clear explanations (example: he gave a muscle relaxant, but I had to ask him before he said my dog's muscles were tight - prior, it was all about how my dog's disk could make him paralyzed). Costs were again not mentioned - my dog's care is first, but skipping costs at a for-profit business is unacceptable.

Overall, I'm very dissatisfied, and felt more like I was dealing with a car salesperson than a medical professional. The bill was ridiculous too, e.g, we were charged more for a 1 hr. X-ray "hospitalization" than a full-day dental hospitalization at my regular clinic (100 vs 60). I won't be back.

Brought my daughter's kitten in for 1st shots and deworming, fair pricing, good customer service and excellent Covid safety precautions. Thanks!

Our dog Max, was quite ill when we took him to Westbrook. He received the best quality care and was treated quickly. With the proper testing and medication Max has made a full recovery! It was an awful 10 days or so.but under the care of Dr. Kolla and staff Max is a very happy dog again!
Max gets of the vehicle happily when we go to Westbrook vet. He waits at the door crying for the staff to let him in. When they open the door he happily prances in to greet everyone! This happiness and obvious trust, is Max’s personal recommendation to all his furry friends and neighbours to go to Westbrook vet for treatment and care.

My dogs get great care and individual personal attention from all the vets in this clinic. It’s nice that it is locally owned and operated. I think the prices are fair and within the rates of all vet clinics.

All the staff here are great! From the kitty in the lobby (Turbo) to the Vet. Each of them takes the time to greet and meet both the humans and animals.

I don't live in Edmonton anymore but I will never forget my experiences with Westbrook. I had a 2 year old Doberman Pinscher who one day just couldn't seem to walk and I had to carry him downstairs and outside every time he needed to go. I had been dealing with another clinic and their answer was "we don't know". I was crushed. My friend told me about Dr. Kolla and the great experience she had with him so I immediately made an appointment to bring my dog in to see him. Dr. Kollas answer was "we will find out". He called Doberman Pinscher experts in New York and found out that the problem was chemical and just needed some pills. Within a week I was back at the off-leash area with my best friend. This is just one of the many experiences I had over the years with Dr. Kolla and his staff. They are genuinely concerned for animals and truly understand how much we love our pets.
