Westbrook Walk-In Medical Clinic

I would leave a. 5 star if I could. I go here because of my fantastic doctor. However, the receptionists are the absolute worst. I have called in and have been placed on hold for at least 40 min at a time. It's next to impossible to book an appointment. To make matters worse, when the receptionist answered my phone call to put me on hold, she scolded me saying PLEASE HOLD whilst I can hear the others conversing about their personal lives. This is unacceptable behaviour and lacks professionalism. Makes you really wonder if the clinic is so busy that they can't answer the phone.

Dr Kaur is kind, caring and compassionate. She takes the time to talk to you even though she is very busy. Very impressed with Dr Kaur and her wonderful bedside manner.

We went for walk in clinic and the receptionist super rude and not flexible at all. She is young Aisan with a long hair and glasses on.
The other receptionists seem fine but this receptionist needs to learn how to communicate with manner and how to respect people.

My wife and newborn baby were only 5 minutes late and were made to wait in the hall with other patients for over an hour. There were many sick people coughing and sneezing. I am more than sure that if she had arrived even early, she would have had to wait in line anyway.

Receptionist was so rude over the phone. Used to have such great medical staff before covid.

Dr. Jassi is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and queer friendly. Such a gentleman. That’s the ONLY reason I’m still going to this clinic for the past six years.

Says the office is closed at 4 pm. I called at 3pm to book and appointment and it said the office is closed.ridiculous.

Dr. Kaur has wonderful bedside manner and takes the time (even though she’s busy) to hear what i’m feeling. This concept hasn’t rang true in other clinics. Front staff are kind and the clinic is very clean. I’m VERY happy that I chose to move over to this clinic!

First time at the clinic very friendly team of staff and very amazing doctor I am so excited to have this clinic become my family doctor

Dr Emma and her team are professional and really care about their patients health.
The receptionists are friendly and polite.

There is no walk on available at this clinic. I researched online before I arrived no message to inform patients that the walk in is not available. I wasted alot of time on this and time off work. Very disappointed.

Best doctor I've had. I lived in Winnipeg 1 year ago and when I moved here I was afraid I would not be able to find another doctor quickly. I was a walk in patient several times until they took me on as my family doctor. They ask many questions and listen! I am happy to have them as part of my health care team. It is hard to believe that anyone would say they are less than great.

I've been seeing Dr. Emma for like 8 years and she's great. The staff here have always been super friendly and professional. Even though I know she's busy, I feel like she listens to me and is always friendly and upbeat.

I was a patio for Dr. Hajiazim and some things came up and I cancelled one of my appointments over the phone. They considered this a no show for some reason and now I have to get another referral from my doctor. A referral that took 2 years to get an appointment. The lady on the phone just told me she was reading the notes on my file and that I had to talk to my family doctor. This clinic is terrible. I even had an appointment booked one time on a Saturday and when I showed up they said the appointment didn’t exist. Wow.

I have been coming to this clinic for many years now since Dr. D Beeharry was there wait times are average the doctors are great with lovely staff. Would recommend this place. I now see Dr. Jassi really nice guy as is Dr. Sue:)

Thank you Westbrook clinic for your patient care and also attending the funeral. We know that Dr. Jassi has a busy schedule and taking the time off to join us and bring his team to the funeral to support the family is highly appreciated.

I've always had such a good experience here. Dr. Emma is understanding and helpful, and the front staff are very patient and friendly!

Dr. Jassi is a very caring physician. He and his team are always follow up on my health issues. I and my family are happy with the care that we receive in this clinic.

Doctors are alright but the front staff are unfit to have their jobs, they always seem to be under pressure or incapable to do the job, arrogant and unprofessional.

I been going to this clinic since dr. Watson and dr. Lota. This place never change, the hrs of waiting is ridiculous long. One of the stuff even told me to find different clinic. Dr. Emma is nice. I Think thats the only thing i could say good about this place.

Came in here with my sister and mom a few months ago. I think this walk-in clinic is always mistaken by the clinics inside Westbrook Mall (thanks to our family friend for the warning). Kudos to the ladies working here, they are very patient with redirecting people going for diagnostics test and other offices.

The doctors and the receptionist are very nice and accommodating. We were even asked if we are okay to see male doctor. Our visit was not rushed, the doctor was very patient in answering our questions.

Dr Jassi is my family doctor and my wife finally switched doctors as I told her this is best doctor I have found to help me

I came to this place for quick check up of my cough and colds around 9: 30 AM. I saw in the board 2 doctors that are in that day. I saw a lady which I thought she was Jasi, she did not introduce herself to me as any doctor should do. She has accent that is why I keep asking to repeat what she said because I don't get it but she was irritated and seems mad the way she answer my questions. I understand English is not her first language so there are language barrier sometimes but as a doctor? She should be patient to explain it to me it's not my fault if don't get her, acent me too have an accent at some point.anyways I went to pharmacy and the pharmacist had something to clarify in my Rx so she called the clinic to talk to Dr. Jasi but the receptionist said Dr. Jasi is not in yet, he will be in at 10. I was so upset my Rx says Dr.jasi who was that lady I saw? You know when it come to our health we need to know who we are dealing, seeing because health is wealth. For Westbrook Medical pls pracrice professionalism. No surprises and hidden agenda. If you care for your patient then do the right thing.definitely dr. Jasi is a guy not a lady. Your phone is not professionally set up. Your washroom is not good for public use you have to update it

If the one snobby reception lady could just not be like that, that would improve this place exponentially.

So I had gone back as the doctors on staff are actually okay, but again with the front staff people, today the owner came and interrupted my appointment to try and get me to remove this review, and tried to imply that since they do me favors with my health, I should return the favor and censor this comment as well as myself, for their benefit.

if these comments impact your business to the point where you need to individually ask patients in the middle of their appointments to remove them, than maybe you should work on how you and your staff choose to interact with the people that trust you with their personal and private information.

This is by far the WORST clinic I have ever been to. I visited the clinic for the first time trying to find positive answers and help. The doctor I saw not only made me feel extremely belittled and like my problems were irrelevant, but also told me there was nothing they could do for me and walked out of the room leaving me in tears. This was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but made me feel even worse about my condition, questioning this doctors medical practice. I am normally not one to complain but due to the severity, I have reported this incident to the Alberta Health Services, Patience Concerns and Relations Department. Please if you care about your health do not go to this clinic.

The reception at the office purposely lost my paperwork because they were angry I lost my healthcare card.dr jassi is awesome, the reception workers'need to grow up.

IF YOU'RE PREGNANT DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! This office had not sent the referral form to the hospital when they said they did. Gave me a run around telling me they sent it to a clinic, when i called that clinic they had never received it. I called to have them "resend it" to which they said they did but didnt AGAIN. I had waited an entire month without hearing anything from anyone. After calling this clinic 4 times, obviously frustrated at the service I recieved specially being 4.5 months pregnant they couldnt even tell me what maternity clinic they had even resent (for the 3rd time) to! I had found out after calling two other maternity clinics they had just sent the referral after i spoke with them this morning. They are unorganized and showed ZERO compassion towards me and the amount of stress that they have caused me. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THIS OFFICE FOR ANY PREGNANCY NEEDS!

This clinic is a kind, caring environment that is run and staffed by honest, dedicated professionals. They take your health and best interests to heart. I should've written this review about 4 months ago, I feel awful that it's taken me so long to review my remarkable experience here. I came to this clinic in crisis a few months ago. I was not a previous patient and the waiting room was busy. I was quickly given privacy and treatment in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Reception/ nurses were welcoming and knowledgeable and a doctor saw me right away. I was heard, I was comforted, I was treated with respect and the Dr's exam room manner was refreshing and sincere. I have always struggled to ask for any help, especially when it comes to certain things, but that day, the entire staff made me feel like I mattered and they saw what I needed. I was able to return to work later that day. The owner shows pride in her clinic and was very engaging with myself and her staff. I received a call to check on how I was doing the following day which was a nice surprise. I wouldnt hesitate to return here. I have told many people of my experience here and would like to find a GP at this clinic so I can switch from where I've been going for 15 years. Thanks again for seeing me that day.

Hurrahh to the staff of this medical office so reliable. The secretary of Dr Emma is very accommodating, very concern of the patients waiting especially the old folks. My mom likes the staff in this clinic as well as the doctors. They always asked how are you genuinely and with sympathy. I can trust them with my mom they even go out and open the door for the older/ senior patients. It is touching when they see you approaching the counter and call your name seems they are happy to see you, can ease the pain at least a little bit. Thank you westbrook staff.

Dr. Emma is professional and caring. I felt the wait times were reasonable and reception were efficient and friendly.

Spend some time in the waiting room and you’ll quickly realize this is a poorly run medical clinic. Even with an appointment, I would wait up to 45 minutes with my baby to see my own doctor. My experiences with the doctor always felt rushed and inpersonal. I got frustrated and found a new clinic (where they can keep a schedule and the doctors are friendly).

I have been a patient here for quite some time now. They staff always greets me with a friendly smile. It is nice to feel comfortable in place that concerns your health.

While Dr. Emma is wonderful this clinic needs administrative help. For scheduled appointments they think it’s ok for the patient to wait an hour and a half! Incredibly disrespectful of people’s tome.

In response to the owners response - I will provide more information for your clarification about my experience: Yes, I rescheduled and left after waiting 40 minutes past the scheduled time of my appointment. This was because I was told at that time (after I approached the desk to inquire why I was still waiting) that it would be another hour before I would see Dr. Emma.

I understand that you cannot control emergencies, but in this case I asked the administrators why there was a long wait and they said there were no emergencies. It was simply slow.

I do appreciate that Dr. Emma spends time with her patients, however to show respect for patients time I would expect that when I checked in for my appointment the administrator would tell me that things were running over an hour behind, rather then let me sit there and waste time, or that they might call me to the desk and inform me of the schedule changes. I could have gone back to work and returned for the new time.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
THE FILIPINO LADY AT THE RECEPTION WILL NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING. SHE IS RUDE AND NASTY.
THIS WOMAN HAS SO MANY BAD REVIEWS BUT THE MANAGEMENT (if there is any) DOESNT CARE EATHIER.
MANY OPTIONS AROUND. AVOID THIS TOXIC PLACE

I always have an appointment when I’ve gone here and I’ve never waited less than an hour. Just brutal.
