Absolutely amazing place, they have helped me with 6 cats so far and I wouldn’t trust my fur babies with anyone else. They are always so caring for not just your animals but your emotions when going in during hard times.

This is such a great animal clinic. I booked my dog in here after growing tired of many impersonal, expensive, and unpleasant visits at one of the big chains. Everyone at Westmount was super friendly, and I feel like they truly care about your pet. Dr. Chavonne was great with my dog, and had excellent bedside manner with him. The recommended treatment approach was conservative, but super effective. The location is convenient too.

Westmount Animal Clinic is always quick to get my dog in when I need her to be seen by a vet. Everyone I have dealt with is incredibly friendly and it's nice to be able to see how much they all love animals and what they do. Some of them even remember Winnie each time we come back! And they do all they can to make her feel safe and comfortable at the clinic.

Taking your pet to the vet sucks, but the team at Westmount make it suck a lot less. Dr. Bertamini is responsive to both pet and owner needs and preferences, and I've never felt pressured to buy a product or do a procedure I wasn't sure about. Vet techs and reception staff are all super kind and knowledgable. 10/10, truly.

Such a great clinic! We have brought our dog in a few times and are always impressed with the care she is given. Josh at the front desk and the staff giving us her medications are all so kind and welcoming. A few people have recommended Westmount to me after adopting my puppy and I am very glad I went in! The staff are friendly & helpful both on the phone/email and in person when visiting. The clinic manager even made a point to pop into the waiting room I was in to introduce herself knowing I was a new customer- this has never happened to me in any vet clinic I've visited and I've owned/fostered dogs for 16 years!

The prices are reasonable- considering they are a downtown Calgary clinic. Dr. Kyle Hager was the vet we saw and actually listened to me rant about everything I have done for separation anxiety with my puppy and gave me proper feedback and a couple other options to try, Mackenzie the manager had also offered to reach out to a couple behavioral specialists to put me in touch with as well. This was a night & day difference compared to the previous vet we had saw regarding this and I couldn't have been happier leaving the clinic.

Very friendly staff. I am always in and out of there fairly quickly. Vets and vet techs are all very knowledgeable.

Wont process your pet insurance for you because they advise you to let them preform unnecessary diagnoses (they cant claim if unnecessary) - my not even 1 year old cat was puking for 5 days, the vet advised me to do an Xray for $800 (overpriced from usual vet), when they couldnt detect anything from the Xray they told me I should have them preform an ultrasound for an additional $900 (luckily i declined the ultrasound) - dont ask them to cut your pets nails as they will charge you an extra $30 (my vet always does this for free, this is also overpriced in my opinion - would've done it myself if i had known the charge) LONG STORY SHORT - I could not get reimbursed the charges from my pet insurance as my insurance marked this as UNNECESSARY PROCEDURE SO I AM OUT $800 that i truly do not have and now am struggling to pay off. Thanks a lot for the scam - PS the store stinks! LITERALLY SMELLS HORRIBLE.the store replied to this review below, FYI they didnt contact me or try to do anything about my issue so that is also a scam

I love it here! Everyone is always so kind and sweet to my animals. They have been so good with my kitten and my geriatric cat. It's nice to find a vet you feel comfortable talking to and trusting with the care of your pets. Highly recommend!

So far best experience at a vet.
The vet spent lots of time with my animals problem,
They took notes. Made a profile. Spent time looking at her.
I didn't feel like it was a rushed in and out job. It was like they really cared.
This cost around 100 dollars
But then I needed medication and that was around 95 dollars for 2 types of medication. 195ish total for the visit.
They called me the next day to ask how she was doing and spent time talking to me about the animals issues and my concerns on the phone.

The price was a little high being around 100 to start for just a visit but location was good for Me and then the quality of work they put in to your animal.seems worth it in the end.
Quality care at this location would recommend and would trust my animal with them.

Booked an appointment for my cat for July 27, then they called me yesterday with an opening for her that day.we were helped immediately when we got there by Chavonne, and she was awesome.this clinic was recommended to me as a less expensive alternative than the VCA clinic, and Chavonne even helped us get a better deal.i would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of a vet in this area!

I ordered a vet brand kitten kibble from here over the phone as a non client, picked it up a couple hours later at the door. It was a quick transaction with no issues. Would consider becoming a client in the future as needed.

Great first experience. Nice facility and staff. Vet was great with my dog during the exam and treatment. As it was our first visit, they allowed me to enter the facility even though curbside policy is in place. This was very appreciated. Price was reasonable and matched quote given over the phone. In short, so far so good. I like it.

I had a wonderful experience at Westmount Animal Clinic! The front desk staff got my cat, Simon, in within a day. Dr. Green was and the rest of the staff were highly personable and took the time to speak to me about my cat and answer my questions. The was told the cost of the exam and all the vaccines upfront without asking, which I appreciated. I feel the vets here are caring and compassionate, without being overzealous to get you to buy additional products or services. Costs for the exam and vaccines was reasonable. Prices were very comparable to the rural vet I used to take my cat to. I accidently came a little early and the staff were able to take Simon then, rather than a half an hour later. You might pay more for services like nail trimming you could get cheaper at other places, but you are also having a vet professional provide the service rather than a groomer, so it is to be expected. Great first experience, will be back.

The best possible care & attention was provided to my elderly cat when she had to be euthanized. Staff were exceptionally kind and sympathetic to me & my husband from the original phone call to the appointment.
Highly recommend and plan to return for regular appointments when I have a new kitty.

These guys are awesome, we just got a kitten and honestly I have no idea what I am doing. The vets were so patient at answering our questions and concerns. Also Pancake had a minor allergic reaction to some medication and the vets explained what was going on, what we needed to do and what to look out for for the next 24-48 hours. Honestly a great place

We were extremely disappointed in our last visit to Westmount Animal Clinic and do not plan on returning and would recommend that others stay away as well. We needed a prescription for flea and tick medication for our dog and a booster shot for kennel cough and called the clinic to make an appointment. During the call, we clearly specified that we would like to forego the regular examination and the receptionist confirmed that it would be no problem at all.

After dropping off our pup for no more than 10 minutes, we were asked to pay over $300 and were only offered the itemized receipt after already paying. After reviewing the receipt, not only were we charged over $90 for the exam we were originally told we could forego, the flea and tick medication was nearly twice as expensive as available through other Canadian online pet medication websites. We were completely floored and were told that no refunds were allowed despite calling back immediately after reviewing the itemized receipt. We're extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency, poor service and pricing and will definitely be looking for a different clinic to visit in the future.

This clinic is amazing! The vet was thorough and helpful, and everyone at the clinic was so friendly and kind. I felt at ease leaving Luka there and they addressed all my issues! Thank you so much and we can't wait to see you again.

The whole team was super friendly and accommodating. We felt that our cat was in good hands and appreciated the excellent communication throughout the visit. They were also very organized and appeared to have strong internal communication unlike some other vet clinics that leave you having to repeat your story to different people within the clinic multiple times. My bulldog puppy reacted to some pain medicine after being neutered and my vet office was closed. I called Westmount first thing when they opened to ask if they could possibly fit Lincoln in.they did within an hour and provided him with the medical care he needed. Dr. Bertamini and Carolyn were exceptional with me and Linc and even followed up the next day to ensure the treatments were working. 100% recommend this office - professional, accommodating and attentive to the details.:)

Friendly, welcoming, and caring staff make Westmount Animal Clinic a great fit for us and our dog. They are kind and generous with their time. Our dog has had several long term issues and Westmount Animal Clinic is always ready to help us manage and track his progress. Great to have a vet in our neighbourhood that knows us and our dog.

It was our first visit bringing our adopted rescue into the clinic this week. She was getting her last set of shots and was recovering from a spay that was done at another clinic. The staff were very communicative and friendly from the very first intake call which was a stark contrast to our previous vet. We dropped her off at the clinic due to covid procedures but during her appointment I had the opportunity to speak to the vet and ask any questions.

The clinic made us feel comfortable and I knew that our pup was being well taken care of. She was given a complimentary nail trim and a puppy pack which included a toy! The staff is comprised of women that truly know what it means to be considerate, compassionate and deliver great customer service. Keep up the great work, you are truly helping new pet owners like me feel supported.

Friendly staff but EXTREMELY overpriced. They charged me $50 for a nail trim (which they couldn’t finish), tried to charge me $950 to have my pet spayed, and charged me $210 to have her looked at to see if she had a UTI which she did not have any issues. I have been getting her nails clipped at a groomer in Kensington for $10 (done in 2 minutes no problem) and I got her spayed at the Spay and Neuter clinic for $350. No issues. I will not be returning to this vet after today.

Dr. Green and the staff here have been fantastic support to our two rescue cats.one which goes all BEAST MODE when she visits the vet. So far no major blood loss has occurred!

We are new to the city and our Bernese needed his shots updated. The staff were super helpful and friendly and chatty, our dog Cormack was super happy with the treatment and the good dog treats, and I was super happy with the service. Plus, there was zero upselling pressure at this clinic unlike others I've been to. They're bestkind at Westmount!

Not only did these girls trim my cat’s nails but they helped me figure out how to review the clinic online! This is a very convenient vet for us, right in the neighbourhood and they are always very supportive. I like the way they call in to check how things are going after a visit. They seem genuinely concerned about my animal and do not try to sell me unnecessary treatments.

I take my THREE dogs here, older dog young dog and now a new puppy! They make things not scary let the animald sniff at things do things gently and are full of love.will continue to bring all my dogs here

My cat Merlin loved hanging out with the staff, they did a really good job when it came time to neuter him. They also made him a cute comic strip, which was a nice touch!

I took my dog Maggie there and we were very well looked after by a lady named Stephanie. She was very welcoming and had a few treats for Maggie. Everyone was very friendly like we had all known each other for years. I highly recommend

I booked an appointment for my dog’s annual check-up & was disappointed to find that Dr. Golbeck had retired this year - he was a huge part of why I’ve been bringing my pets to Westmount Animal Clinic & have highly recommended them for well over a decade. I’m not so sure I’ll be back.

While Dr. Green was personable enough, I left the clinic after our appointment feeling more like a customer that had been wheeled & dealed rather than a valued client.

Dr. Golbeck & his staff always offered very personable touches that made each visit stress-free & even enjoyable. I always received a follow-up phone call the day after my dog received his yearly vaccinations to make sure he was doing alright - they even sent a Christmas card after my previous dog “crossed the rainbow bridge” - because they knew holidays could be hard without a beloved pet and part of the family there with you.

Dr. Golbeck also really took the time to get to know his patients - he’d ask about our lifestyle & any budget constraints we might have, because as much as we’d all love to be able to afford every luxury & specialized treatment for our pets, sometimes we just have to do the best we can on a dime.

Dr. Green diagnosed my dog with early-stage arthritis - which wasn’t super surprising as he’s a big dog & getting up there in age. Immediately she wants to switch his diet to a brand they’d have to special order for me. I expressed concern that he had been on a grain-free diet most of his life & what she was describing would have a lot of grain “filler” - she kind of shrugged it off & said if I slowly introduced the new food then it should be fine, but if there are any digestive issues I could just stop feeding him the new food & bring him in for follow-up. That seemed a little dismissive but she’s the expert so.

The next week I went in to pick up this special dog food and I couldn’t believe the price. I apologized & said there was no way I could afford it. At twice the price of the high end dog food I’m already splurging on, I was astounded that Dr. Green could be so flippant about it potentially not agreeing with my dog. One of the receptionists not so helpfully suggested that I could buy a smaller bag - thank god the other receptionist was there to clue her into the fact that that wasn’t a less expensive option at all. I suppose the onus was on me to ask about pricing in the first place, but honestly, Dr. Green seemed so rushed & I assumed it couldn’t possibly be more than I was paying now, so I didn’t inquire. My mistake.

But there were other areas of concern - Dr. Green rushed through vaccines & seemed rather pushy, where Dr. Golbeck would have taken the time to determine whether they were actually of benefit to my dog, she referred us to a “sister clinic” with obscenely unaffordable rehab therapies that will likely never be in my budget, she gave my dog treat after treat after treat while telling me he needs to lose a few pounds (he doesn’t get snacks at home), and then no follow up phone call, and no invoice so I could see what exactly I was paying for.

I left feeling a lot overwhelmed and a little bamboozled. Other friends (who I’d originally referred to Westmount) had mentioned disappointment in their most recent visits & now I can see why. I think it might be time for me to look elsewhere for my pet’s care.

First time here, everyone was super helpful and super friendly. Also thank you for understanding how hard bills can get and giving us quotes before and after! Really appreciated the help here and so did my kitty!
