When I pulled into the lot I was greeted by Jeremy. I had a specific budget in mind and Jeremy never made me feel crazy for what I wanted to spend. He was honest and not pushy in any sense! Today I was so impressed by the stellar care given to my senior parents and myself. The whole team was helpful and friendly, but our salesman Seth was hands down the best I personally have ever dealt with. Our Tahoe was making a weird noise on my drive to work this morning so I called and made an appointment for Thursday. Leaving work this afternoon was a much different story, the weird noise turned into a bunch of different lights and alerts going off. I knew I wouldn't be able to make the drive back to Blackfalds so, I rolled into Wheaton at 4: 59 and they were AMAZING. They quickly got me a loaner, helped ease my worried mind and an employee even stopped on her way home to help me with the kids' carseats. Well, it has been many years since we've had to get a new (used) vehicle. Salesman Chad Stonehouse (5 service), and Tyler in finance (5) at Wheaton Chevrolet Red Deer, made the experience incredibly easy and painless (but for the high price of vehicles these days - but that's beyond the powers that be). Chad was amazing in that he listened to what I needed in a truck, showed me a couple options that they had on the lot (I was in the market for a few year old used truck), and he did not try to up sell me at all! It was a breath of (expensive) fresh air. I highly recommend both Chad and Wheaton Chevrolet for your own new or used vehicle shopping.

Purchased a used Silverado on the premise the truck was in very good condition with only minor wear and tear divulged at time of agreeing to purchase. Upon arriving at the dealership it was realized there was substantial rock chip damage, a dent on the roof from an antenna, damage to the 3rd rear brake light from the beforementioned antenna hack install, and the truck undercoating I paid for was not properly installed leaving the truck susceptible to damage. As I had already agreed to have a custom leather interior done for the truck and it was already ordered, and I purchased a set of new take offs with new Duratrac tires I took it on good faith there would be no additional problems. The dealership went above and beyond what I would have expected to rectify some of the damage. To my approval they agreed to touch up some of the paint chips in the wheel wells and as an added safety net threw in a pair of mud flairs and install. Because they agreed the undercoating was done improperly they agreed to redo/ touch up the job when the truck came back for the leather install. OK so all good now with everything agreeable on my side I agree to take the truck. Driving back down south with the truck the sun is in my eyes so I put my visor down.just to hear something moving in the visor. Lucky for me when I open the mirror the glass was just cracked and didn't fall into my eyes. I immediately pulled over and messaged my sales person. They apologized and agreed they would look after the replacement of the visor. Fast forward two weeks and the truck has apparently been all fixed up and the dealership even arranges for the truck to be delivered all the way back down to Lethbridge by the leather installers. Wow right.well as soon as they pull up I can see the rear flares are hanging off the body of the truck.literally.there is about 1/16"- 1/8" gaps from the rubber gasket in a couple spots. The leather looked and is insane fyi.they do have great leather guys. So I call the sales person who then tells me that I must have damaged the flare by placing my finger on the flare to show scale for the photo. Now this isn't my first truck, wont be my last, and I used to own an aftermarket vehicle accessory store.so trust me when I say these were installed incorrectly. If you don't want to believe me than take it from the CAP IT service manager, and the a second Chevrolet dealership that both agreed they were installed incorrectly. Ok so now I have had the truck for a few months and have come to terms with the damage and headache of the whole ordeal and really not feeling satisfied with the overall experience Wheaton Chevrolet is known for. Now I decide winter is over and I should install my summer rims and Brand new duratrac tires that Wheaton Chevrolet installed and supplied to me on my truck. Well one of the tire sensors is bunk and wont sinc up.so I give them the benefit of doubt that maybe my relearn tool just isn't working for some reason.so give my sales rep a call and they advise to go to a dealership to have it checked. Ok all sounds good right.go to the dealership and they confirm one of the sensors are in fact dead and needs to be replaced. Well that sucks but I bought warranty on the truck, $3K+ of warranty and I did buy brand new tires from the dealership, I did follow their recommendations to go to another dealership to have the sensors checked.so I should be covered to have the what $45 sensor replaced at no headache or charge to me right.after spending over $40K on a used truck right. NOPE! The dealership claims they are ALMOST not going to make any money on the truck now because of all the FREE stuff they have done for me after purchasing. Now plug your ears for this. HOW THE HELL AM I RESPOSNSIBLE FOR THE DEALERSHIPS INABILITY TO PROPERLY GO THROUGH THE VEHICLE AND MAKE THE RESPONISBLE REPAIRS TO RESELL? Why am I being made to feel like I should just accept this and move on? Oh and just as an FYI make sure they actually pay out your referral cheques as they weren't going to for my deal!

I had an amazing experience with the sales but that’s all I can say. My hubby bought his 2018 duramax through them and had a great experience so we thought we’d go back for our suburban. And that’s when everything went south. We will never buy a vehicle from here again. Bought my used suburban in March 2020 right before the COVID pandemic. We noticed right when we bought it that the blind spot/lane assist wasn’t working so our sales guy told us to bring it in to get it fixed at their cost. We are from out of town so we didn’t get a chance to bring it in right away. In the meantime the covid pandemic hit so we were unable to bring it in until May when things started opening again. In May we also found out that the AC wasn’t working bc who needs AC in Alberta till May. I phoned to get an appointment and they tried to act as if I was making things up and that it was our cost. Luckily I had saved all my text messages from my sales guy where it clearly stated that they would fix it at no charge since it was their bad. I had to go three different times into the city bc they couldn’t decide if they were actually going to do it at no cost or not and hadn’t ordered the parts to get it fixed. They finally were ok to fix the blind spot/lane assist bc I had proof in the texts but wouldn’t budge on the AC. We finally agreed to just paying to get the AC fixed, paid the bill and a week later the AC crapped out again. Brought it to our hometown dealer and $2500 later the AC is fixed properly. So all in all it was a bit of a nightmare. Will stick to our small town dealership for future vehicle purchases!

REPLY- we did not wait 6 months to bring it in. We bought end of February beginning of March 2020, COVID showed up, then end of May when pandemic subsided a bit we brought it in which is 3 months not 6 FYI and during those 3 months we barely drove it since there was nowhere to go, it was just as broken as it was when we bought it. And no you didn’t fix the AC but by that time we were fed up with your service department and had a different dealer correctly fix it.

I'm writing a review to give a used salesman, Christian, a 5 star rating because he was fantastic to deal with when we were looking for a used vehicle. He was super helpful, got the vehicle out right away and even on a -30 day! He has a great attitude and very easy to deal with. It was nice to meet you Christian!

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you end up making a mistake like I did buying a vehicle from here; make sure you record the conversation and have everything written on the paper as well. If you don't then expect to get accused for not paying. Double check your extra accessories before taking your truck home, you might get something cheaper which you paid more money for or not get at all. I have to give them 1 star.
If I took the advantage then why did you lie and said your finance guy could not get a hold of me. I have an e-mail from him and sent him what he wanted. Then you also lied about riding off $1800 and accused me that I did not pay for accessories. You never showed me any paperwork and when I asked you to call your finance person and get everything sorted out, you said you have fired him. I did not raise my voice until you lied and accused me for not paying for accessories. I have GM looking into it. Initially you guys tried to give me a truck with 4 winter tires, but the deal was with 4 rims. I had to argue with sales rep for that. What I have said in my review is truth and have receipts to back up my statement. If I catch you on ripping me off and I call you on it then you call it "taking advantage". You would go extra mile and perhaps more than that as long you are making money!
