Whistle Stop Cafe

Just stopped here for lunch and tried the Jalapeño Burger Special with the Tomato Basil soup. So delicious! Best truck stop cafe I’ve ever been to in Alberta!

I like these guys for their true respect and honour of our Canadian constitution. Only detriment to ambience and overall vibe, is their lack of good Canadian Rush rock and roll tunes rocking the joint tbh O well, as long as the chief burger flipper C. S flips them monster burgers, and bakes them scrumptious pies, ill have to live without Geddy, Neil and Alex! The modern day warriors APP!

Great food, I often take advantage of the daily specials. The newer fellow cooking takes a lot of pride in his work and is very friendly.

Delicious food, good portions, reasonable price. I will be back, as the whole menu deserves trying. I think the rig-picker truck out front is now somewhat of a national monument.

Probably the best Bacon Cheeseburger and fries I’ve ever had. To make it even better Chris Scott cooked it! He’s a hero with us freedom fighters! We even got a photo with him and had a chat!

Always a great meal. Plenty of smiles and customers who actually talk to each other. I love the atmosphere!

Traveling and stopped in for a bite to eat. Both our meals were delicious. I ordered a side of hollandaise sauce to go with my bacon and eggs (light and delicious). Hubby had bacon cheese burger, he said it was delicious. You can’t go wrong there, good food.

Make a point of stoping by if you're ever passing through Mirror. These are some of the nicest people you will meet. They will treat you like family.and great coffee is a bonus!

Chris and his staff are amazing! Food is top notch! Just a breath of fresh air to be able to sit down and eat somewhere without getting harassed. Chris, you are a true hero and have been fighting since the beginning when nobody really even knew what was going on. This guy needs to run for premier!

The owner's of the Whistle Stop Cafe are the most beautiful and decent people I have ever seen. They are not only beautiful, polite and so very generous and kind to anyone who they pass but they have and make fabulous food, as I have been told by many and I can't wait to get there and try out some of this fantastic food that everyone tells me about. If the food is a great as the people than I know that it's going to taste fantastic.

Owner should stick to food- the disgusting pics speak for themselves. Owner should also stop name calling and bullying potential customers- in a customer service industry STAY OUT OF POLITICS IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN BUSINESS.

Came from Vancouver Island to shake Chris' hand! We missed the protest by a couple of hours, but the food was great and the people were even better. Keep fighting the good fight, you have more people in your corner than you realize. I hope to be back one day soon to celebrate victories with all of you. Thanks for being an inspiration to others, you're accomplishing more than you know.

This restaurant did not follow COVID-19 public health orders which is very reckless and selfish and dangerous and put the public at deadly risk so I recommend staying away from that restaurant and not eating at that restaurant because they are very very disrespectful to the health and safety of public.

Our first experience was a special promotion they were having.a steak dinner and a free drive in movie.we drove 50 min.the steak was a 10 Oz was very tasty and tender potatoes and salad and a big piece of pie for 22 bucks.we watch Aladdin on a large homemade screen and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.it was a great date night.and all for 50 bucks.we've been to the whistestop several times and the owner and staff try very hard to make it a great experience hard to

We've been out several times for burgers and breakfast. Food was great. Service amazing! The atmosphere is light and people are so friendly.

If I happen to come across - definitely will stop by and support this place. One of the first business owners (at least as far as I know) to fight for freedoms, my sincere respect to you, Chris.

I have stopped in twice since June, great food both times, staff was friendly. Great diner atmosphere. Definitely will keep returning for a bite to eat every time I am passing thru.

Chris has been one of the few stand up individuals throughout the pandemic who have fought for our freedom vs.hide their face behind a mask and believe the insane regulations that the government has attempted to put in place. He has shown us small business owners (whether still around or not so fortunate) that there is still a chance at survival if we all rally together. I support Chris's efforts to date and will continue to do so.

Now for the main review.the place is fantastic. Being from the city, you really do not expect much from a roadside stop but that is far from the truth here. The staff is very pleasant and friendly and they treat you like you're their best friend. There is a true family feel. The convenience store is well stocked with every item under the sun and more. The restaurant side is great, with tasty food and great, always changing variety. Their specials are amazing and never lack flavour.portions are huge! I would go to eat there anytime and would never hesitate to try something new.

The campground is clean and everyone is very friendly, it is truly a little community in there and everyone shares the same views which is impossible to find in this day and age. There are all necessary hook ups and a nice common area. I would happily setup there anytime if I was in the area.or to just get out of town!

All in all, it was a very pleasant and definitely memorable experience at The Whistle Stop Cafe over the couple days I stayed. I highly recommend paying a visit and shaking Chris's hand (which is still allowed out there)! You don't find stand up people like the group out there, anywhere. Thanks for a great time and I look forward to returning!

I wish I could rate it in negative stars. Tthe food and service were absolutely terrible. I had a clubhouse sandwich and the bread was stale and barely toasted and there was only one slice of very overccoked bacon. I went to the washroom and it was filthy. The toilet was overflowing with feces and urine onto the floor so I exited without using it. When I mentioned it to the staff some woman named Crystal called me a c*nt so loudly all the other patrons could hear her and then they started glaring at us. It was worst experience in a restaurant in my entire life
