Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital

It is not always easy bringing a feisty cat to the veterinarian, but Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital and all the staff made our trip so much easier. Our visit was friendly and not rushed. We took small breaks to help Rio release some of his pressure. Great advice too for this aging kitty.

Dr Shilton is a wonderful vet, and the support staff are so friendly and kind. Our two dogs Holly and Misty have been patients of Dr Shilton for many years. We have always been treated with kindness and compassion and Dr Shilton has always taken the time to discuss options and make sure we understood the treatment plan. There has always been a follow up call or text to find out how the dogs were after a procedure.
I highly recommend Dr Shilton and the Whitemud Animal Hospital for all your veterinary requirements.

The vets and vet techs at Whitemud Animal Hospital have been nothing but amazing and kind and thoughtful. My cat had FELV as a kitten and it’s been a lot of tests, exams, and trips with her, and a lot of emotions - but they have been so supportive the entire journey. And now my cat is cleared of FELV, and the team celebrated with me:) highly recommend!

Highly recommend Dr Shilton. Two vets gave us options of total amputation of a paw or euthanize our dog as she is a senior.we were referred by a friend who brings her dogs to Dr Shilton. Dr Shilton is amazing and did not rush to an assessment of what to do. He took his time to assess the file and discuss with a specialist and then followed up with us. He has now referred us to the specialist in hopes that we may be able to save our dog's paw from a total amputation. Dr. Shilton was clear that a board certified specialist surgeon has skills to work around the mass and save a paw. The other two vets never mentioned the option of board certified specialist surgeon. Dr. Shilton was also clear that if he did the amputation he may not be successful in saving the paw hence the referral to specialist. Great staff, very friendly and highly responsive.

Each and everyone there who helped trying to save my cat’s life were incredibly kind and compassionate. We felt sadness when we had to say goodbye but I had no regrets because we knew that they all did their best to keep him comfortable and safe for as long as they could.

I could not be more grateful for this team:) my boy has been with me since I was a baby, and once saved my life during a s*icide attempt. He means the whole world to me, and when he got sick during my medical leave it was so scary. Even though I was struggling while waiting for my leave payments:) they gave me a little bit of the medicine he would need to go home with, to make sure he was ok. These are the most compassionate, kind people and you could not pick a better vet

I highly recommend! They have great hours and always find a good time for us or fit us in. Friendly, patient, down to earth. I drive across the city to go here. Try them out.

Great visit with Dr. Shilton. Our newly adopted dog had ear infection in both ears. He took the time to show us how to clean and treat the ears of our dog with compassion and understanding. He listened to our concerns without judgement and showed us how to help our pet. Very clean and safe space to bring your pets!

My Bernese Mountain Dog "Bo" has been a client of Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital for approx. 4 years. During this period of time there have been many visits both routine (vaccinations, ear infections etc.) and unfortunately some more serious. Both Bo and myself have always been treated professionally and with great compassion. I highly recommend the entire care team!

About a year ago I decided to start supporting my local businesses. I was using a vet way far away and then I came across a vet that was right across the street… Whitemudcrossing veterinary clinic Has been a godsend in so many ways… They are always friendly, Vet does an excellent job and the workers are just wonderful! So if you live in the Erminiskin, Empire Park and surrounding areas and have a fur baby…. This is a great veterinarian clinic and we should ALL support our local community services! Jack and Ava!

Very friendly staff. They treated our boy very well. The doctor we saw was a amazing too. I also like the monthly plan for the check ups and vaccines. I am grateful to have a great vet close by.
