Whyte Ave Dental Choice

Whyte Ave Dental Choice is a super good dental clinic, the girl in front desk is very nice and helpful. Dr. J is very perfecional and listen to the patient concerns.

Always a friendly smile to welcome you in! I also love the reminders so that I never forget an appointment!

I’m a fairly high anxiety patient and Dr J is very understanding and goes slowly to help me calm down and quickly when he can sense I’m running out of tolerance for the work. What I’m saying is that he’s adaptive to my needs. I’m feeling lucky to have him as a dentist, and he’s quite good with my kids as well. Amy always does such an awesome job cleaning my teeth and looking out for my comfort as well. Today Felicia helped out and she was really easygoing and helped put me at ease before the appointment even really started. Honestly though, everyone at the whyte ave location is great- even the front desk staff are lovely.

I cannot speak more highly of Whyte Ave Dental Choice. They have been my dentists for about 2 years now and i can say I'm very pleased with the service. I never went to the dentist until i came here. Everything about the service is great. Karen and Olufunke are nothing short of angels at the front desk, always ready to welcome me with a lovely smile (which is great as they work in a dental clinic). They are very flexible and were able to work around my schedule on multiple occasions where I've had to cancel last minute. In the past i dealt with Dr Hoffmann and Renato his assistant. They left such a good impression that even though Dr Hoffman has moved on i remember how well he treated me.

Recently I have been dealing with Dr Nguyen and Faith and i couldn't be happier. I've also had cleanings with Amy and Carly both dental hygienists have gone very smoothly.

Overall I have no reservations about recommending this establishment.

I actually look forward to coming here as i know I will be well taken care of every time. They know me on a first name basis an remember the little things and often ask me about it when I come for my appointments.

I could keep going on and on but the gist is they're great, so don't hesitate to give them a try.

Carly is an amazing dental hygienist who takes the best care to make every dental visit enjoyable. She is very accommodating and works to make my visits enjoyable despite my gum recession. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

Going to the dentist can be a bit stressful for me, but everyone I’ve encountered at this office is super friendly and supportive. Carly, the dental hygienist, in particular has been great. She made me feel really comfortable and has always been very gentle during my cleanings. Plus she always has gorgeous manicures!

Dear Dental Choice: I didn't add a new review. I upgraded to two stars as I felt it was unfair to give one star given some good service we've received there. No additional intent. The comment by your Dr.is quite horrible and I'll be happy to bring it up next time we are in and change my review based on how it is handled. Although, now I'm concerned that my review didn't initially prompt an apology so we might not be back.

After my treatment one day, a dentist was talking to me about my teeth and mentioned Invisalign. I asked why he thought it might be a good idea for me and he mentioned the gap between my two front teeth. I have already had extensive orthodontal treatment through my childhood to bring my gap together and I have accepted it as "just part of me" which I mentioned to the dentist. To which he said, "it's ok. You have a good personality. "

Thinking I could let this go, I've just moved on but the more I think about what a terrible thing that is to say to someone and what a shameful attempt at a money grab from this dentist by trying to shame me into thinking I need to spend thousands to close up the 2mm gap in my front teeth, I've decided to speak out and let others know that my experience at this location has been terrible due to that one unethical dentist.

I am extremely happy that I came across this clinic. Dr Jalal, Felecia, Carly and Friday have all been extremely nice and best at their job. I would say the best dental clinic in whole of Edmonton.

I always have a great experience with the team at Whyte Ave Dental Choice. Dr. J. Is amazing. He always takes the time to explain everything and he’s really good at creating a relaxing environment during the appointment and a more casual vibe which is super comforting. Faith is really sweet and always makes sure you’re as comfortable as possible. I’m not as close to this location anymore but still choose to come here because of the staff.

I have been looking for a new dental office for a long time, and I’ve finally found the perfect fit with Whyte Ave Dental Choice. I was so pleasantly surprised by the care I received from my dentist Dr. J. I have never been to a dentist who is so attentive, knowledgeable and kind. He had an answer to every question I asked and made me feel at ease the entire time. The front desk staff was amazing as well, very organized and easy to deal with. The office itself is extremely welcoming and clean which I love.

Dr J, Felicia & Carly are all very friendly, helpful and informative whenever I have appointments. I've been going here for a couple years and they always make sure I feel comfortable and am completely happy with the results. I will always recommend them to family & friends for their dentist needs.

I've had the best dental visit ever at this location. The professionalism, care and empathy is top notch. I love the flow between the front/reception to the Dental assistant and to the Dentists. They are also extremely friendly and nice, making me feel very comfortable after every visit. I highly recommend this clinic.

I rolled the dice and made an appointment one afternoon in 2006, there was a sign on the sidewalk that read "Anxious patients welcome". I hadn't been to the dentist in years at that point. I've never looked back. The team has always treated me respectfully even at the beginning when I had been neglecting my teeth for a long time. These days I go for regular 6-month visits, and am much happier with my dental hygiene. Some staff have been here for a long time, and there has been a recent renovation as well. I really cannot say enough good stuff about this dental office! Go here to get your teeth looked after, you'll be surprised at how seamless and easy it all is! Cheers.

Thank you Whyte Avenue Dental Choice for an amazing service with your fantastic staff, they fitted me in as an emergency, the aftercare and explanations were superb, and the clinical skills of Dr Abouhassan and his staff deserve commendation as does there bedside manner. I have bad dental anxiety and haven't been to a dentist in years. But I felt so welcomed here.
As soon as I walked in the receptionist was amazing and chatted with me and reassured me the whole time I waited, and even helped me with insurance questions that I had no clue about.
The dental assistant was incredible and let me take breaks if I needed, and let me blast my music to block out some noise. She was very gentle with the cleaning and explaining everything to me so I understood.
The dentist also was so kind and explained everything and came up with a plan so I know what to expect for my upcoming visits.
They also go out of their way to make sure to work with your insurance making sure everything can get done.
I highly reccomend here if you have dental anxiety.

I saw Dr. Jay a couple of weeks ago to replace my partial (I lost my first one.ugh)
My review has not changed from my first visit over a year ago. From the front desk staff, to the dental assistants, hygenists, and of course Dr. Jay, this is the best dental office I have been to. Amy cleaned my teeth and talked me through each step. She also advised that there are other procedures I may need and she will make sure they are approved and covered by insurance. Dr. Jay is kind, and patient to allay my fears and takes the time to go through a dental plan. I can't recommend this dental office enough. If I could I'd give them 10/10 stars!

These guys are good and professional - but they also try to oversell you on things. They told me I could fix my teeth but it's cosmetic, which was the first time a dentist suggested it to me, and ever since I have felt self conscious about my smile because I have a few crooked teeth.

All people who work at this dental office nice and competent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist.

This place is great! I've always been a nervous dental patient, but the folks here are so kind and informative. They also do direct billing and are very good at explaining what is or is not covered by your benefits plan before your treatment. Particularly recommend dental hygienist Amy!

This is the place to get your teeth cleaned! I can’t express how much I enjoy coming to this location, I feel well taken cared of and they usually have a great show on the TV such as Brooklyn 99 or The Office. If you can you need to book your teeth cleaning with Carly, she’s the best hygienist. Everyone is nice and the price is right. 5 stars would go again

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kezar. She was gentle, patient, and was able to address the concerns I had about my teeth. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Dr. J is always so wonderful to work with! He makes sure he answers all my questions (even if they are slightly neurotic), and he always makes sure I understand the procedures. He recently had to fill a cavity and the needle & filling were honestly PAINLESS. I haven't even experienced a pain-free dental experience until I started see Dr. J. The admin assistants are also professional, but very personable. I'm grateful I found this place because it makes a somewhat tedious experience feel much more relaxing and efficient.:) Jill

I have been to see Doctor Jay several times, the man is very thorough and explains to you step by step to help have a healthy mouth. He's an excellent dentist, highly recommend him and Doctor Carly

The staff here are friendly, happy, and provide wonderful service. I highly recommend this office, especially if you have kids who were afraid of dentists. They took wonderful care of my daughter and I after a horrible experience elsewhere.

I just turned 7 and my mom took me to the dentist at whyte ave dental choice. It was really fun, I got to watch my favourite show during my cleaning and exam. I am not scared of going to the dentist anymore.

Doctor J, is awesome, he makes you feel very comfortable and walks you through everything. He does excellent work and is very thorough and gentle. I usually have severe anxiety with dentists and freezing, but Dr. J made it so comfortable that my anxiety was more then manageable during that part of my treatment. I found Dr. J online for Botox and seen how great his work is. My husband and I will be seeing him for TMJ problems. Can't wait to get rid of my headaches!
