Urgent medical situation for my 9 year old daughter arose while out camping and we were seen and treated in a very prompt time, as well as given clear instructions for care and follow up. Much better service then the 5-6 hour waits in our local BC hospitals. Thank you very much ER team!
Some staff are rude and unprofessional. Waiting time is more than 2 hours at ER and less than 5 minutes meeting with a Doctor. We wasted more time waiting than having a treatment. Not recommended giving birth here.
I went in to the hospital emergency yesterday with what turned out to be a kidney stone! I found the Staff to be caring and kind! I'm so grateful to the staff for their excellent care. It was one of the most painful things I have ever gone through and they were really were amazing.
Absolutely useless, the people who work here can't even keep track of prerequisites that are sent in to them. I have been waiting for a month to get a gestational diabetes test done and the papers have been sent in twice and still no one can find them. So I showed up with the papers and was told that they couldn't see me to do the test because they are short handed. You are a hospital, you have obligations. Get your stuff together and figure out how to do your jobs!
My experience there was the worst ever, my daughter was diagnosed with slight bronchitis but here it was something else. I prefer not to visit the emergency side they don't do any test to prove what you have when your coughing.
Some of the older nurses in the place are miserable and rude, heard a nurse in emergency telling a patient who was in for attempted suicide to "grow up" and I hope racism wasn't a factor to the snide rude comments being said to this poor little indigenous girl.
I went to emergency and there was no line up. I was helped instantly and they took great care of me. The nurse and doctor was informative and both were good care givers. Thank you for helping me.
Go here if you want to die waiting in emergency. That really happened. Plus they turned away an infant who had a stroke and the parents had to take their baby to smoky lake where they airlifted her to Edmonton. There is also a chemical resistant superbug in this hospital that they can’t get rid of. Place needs to be condemned.
Just phoned to check on my Mother and was unfortunate to Deal with not 1 but 2 very Rude & Abrupt females that should Not only NOT be Dealing with the Public, but the Sick & Elderly as well. I was about Ready to Lose it on the Ignorant B*tch, but Fear what they may do to my Ma, I held it. They have no Sense of Respect for the ones they are supposed to be taking care of. So I kept my Cool, but Really. I could not Believe the Level of Ignorance that is being looked Past. Alberta Health Services have to know what is going on there. Reading all these Reviews are Very Disheartening & VERY Disturbing to say the Least.
I was in about I think four months ago or three lol I can't remember, I broke my ankle and was taken to lac la biche hospital and well I don't have a good experience here. My mother tired to go get me a wheel chair but there was none so I had to try to hop all the way in on one leg.then after I went to the front desk and got a form to go to emerg I waited in the waiting room for a fricken hour! With a broken ankle. But I thought there must be someone ahead of me that was more serious (right cuz that's how it works) well the person infront of me was a lady with a bug but on her face there was no swelling no redness just a little discomfort she walked out of the hospital and was told to put ice on it. So I finally get into the back to see a nurse and then a doctor I got X-rays and then waited for the doctor. Well the doctor didn't know if I needed surgery or not so they put a splint on my leg with my foot all angled weird. I was told to let the swelling go down and come back in a week. I live in westlock but all my family is in llb so whatever ok. Week later I come back they still have no fricken idea if my ankle needs surgery Ok fine whatever they make a appointment for me in a week in Edmonton. Well ok so the nurse was going to put a new tenserbandages on my splint but I asked her if it was possible to get a new splint made because the angle my foot was facing was really hurting she looked upset at my request and said the doctor won't do that and just wrapped my foot. Well I went home to westlock and the pain was starting to be unbearable so I went to westlock emerg. And guess what they figured it out within two hours and got me in a aircast because I didn't need surgery oh and the bone specialist In westlock said they should of put a new splint on with my foot straight not angled because I have a small bone fragment pushing on my fractured ankle bone when it was in the angle llb hospital left it in causeing more pain then there needed to be. All in all my experience with llb hospital was horrible And it's getting worse I grew up there and had gone there a lot through my child hood and back then it was a lot better but now the hospital is just pathetic
