This place is great for travel on a budget. Our room was nicely outfitted. Needing three or four different door codes to access various amenities and the room was a bit frustrating as many of the codes are similar but not the same and each door seems to have different technology.
The hot tub is far too small for the amount of guests it serves.

Stayed at Windtower Lodge & Suites through an Airbnb host, the facility is well-managed and our unit was excellent. Great heated parking garage, hot tub, and facilities. Secure and clean.

Stayed in the Ashlar Suite at the Windtower. Booked via Airbnb. Great location, it was a short walk to downtown along the creek and the shops of Canmore was just a couple blocks away. Very clean and cozy suite. The kitchenette had everything we needed. Host was very responsive via Airbnb app. The suite had highspeed internet so I was able to work remotely for a few weeks without any issues. In-floor heating was a bonus on the feet. The suite was quite and lighting was amazing. In suite laundry was a bonus. The suite was recently renovated and felt very fresh. Highly recommend the Ashlar suite at the Windtower.

Our experience here was great. We were booked through an air BnB so it was different than other guests here but our suite was nice, clean, and comfortable. There was a lot of work going on around there and we were woken up pretty early by jackhammers and construction equipment but other than that it was good.

My concerns regarding comfort were ignored by staff. I wrote to Windtower after my stay and never heard back. Poor customer service. I wish I had booked somewhere else.

We started with a standard room that had a "queen" (the size of a double) bed completely uncomfortable bed very small uncomfortable room that we could hear the conversation the neighbours were having. So we decided to "upgrade" to a king suite.the "suite" was roasting hot, the thermostat was broken, the "king" bed was to singles strapped together with a very uncomfortable lump in the middle. The mattresses thenselves were so terrible that sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable. I had to prewash any dishes we used because they were visibly soiled. The complimentary breakfast was terrible the orange juice was watered down, eggs were watery, and French toast was rock hard.
The front desk person was new, very poorly trained and rude.

Front desk girl Andrea is great! She is very patient to wait for me to fill out guest agreement. I was supposed to finish it before check in.
The bed is smaller than I expected and it also moves.

What was supposed to be a king suite is actually two 80s spring mattresses and boxsprings pushed together. For 300$ a night this is unacceptable.

The worst customer service i’ve ever encountered.
Very unprofessional, lazy, and rude.
I booked the room for 2 nights for me, my husband and our 2yo daughter.
When we checked in, the room was really hot. But then we adjusted the thermostat and left for dinner and thought it would be okay by the time we’re back. But the room was still really hot when we came back.
I called the front desk that night and they sent the maintenance who did absolutely nothing and told us to open the window (Please note that it was -10 outside).
The next morning I went to front desk again, and a front desk agent named BETH told me to just go back to my room and she will call me.
After 20 minutes of waiting, i called back the front desk, and she was nothing but RUDE.
Out of nowhere she told me “i’m letting you go this time but actually you shouldn’t bring baby to that room”
Firstly, I booked for 2 adults and 1 child and i have confirmation for that.
Secondly, what is it to do with my concern about the room being too hot?
On top of that she even told me “how do i know you really called front desk last night and how do i know the maintenance really came to your room? ! ”
Not only she didn’t resolve any of my concerns, she insulted me, and even indirectly accused me of lying.
I was really upset and I hang up the phone.
She phoned back and she even ordered me to apologize to her for hanging up the phone.
She’s a customer service nightmare!
I was really shocked to be honest. Never in my life i would imagine encountering such a horrible customer service.
Deeply disappointed and will never ever come back!

We bought a Groupon which made the price point more realistic. The room was clean and comfortable though quite small and had no fridge. The towels were softer than a lot of hotel towels are, the bed/bedding was comfy (the bed looked bumpy but was not), good shower. The breakfast buffet included eggs, bacon, beans, oatmeal & a range of wheat based items. The quality of the food was decent as well.

Didn't stay here overnight but visited friends for the day in Dec 2018 when they were staying here. It was very hot in the room when entering but cooling it down was easy enough. The minimal window coverings left it quite bright in all rooms, they should have more than just a thin white curtain for coverage-also the spare blanket was dirty/stained. Hot tub was small/would fill up fast. Overall I got the impression my friends wouldn't stay there again. Also quite upsetting that they charge $5 a day for underground parking when the place is 'Sunday night-work Monday' empty.

Very small room.loud near elevator. Nice overall building. As you will read below, all responses from management are the same cut and paste answer so you know they are not interested in your review, only your money.

Location is pretty decent but my xoeriencr has not b m pleasant. Rotting garbage in the kitchen called first night to get that removed. My room has quite a bit of traffic noise. Next morning I’ll found sticky brown stuff on the drive and dried on food particles in the back splash. Then went to have a shower I had no soap, 4 conditioners, no shampoo, stepped into a huge puddle of water on the floor. No water proof shower curtains, And tap was loose in the wall. My bedroom was smelling like dirty gym socks. So called front desk to advise of the issues. Maintenance was great they fixed it right away. Came back in the afternoons on and toiletries had been replaced, but kitchen was still dirty. So I went back down to the front desk to ask to have some one go clean it. At 6pm it still isn’t done.

We had several of our clients complaining about weird smells in the hotel.

Overall a terrible experience. I am disappointed at the sporadic service and lack of care to detail. Can guarantee I will be strongly recommending a different venture for our future conferences. Having worked in the hospitality industry this is a systemic management issue that needs to be addressed.

My wife and I didn't spend too much time at the hotel, nice room but it was freezing, the thermostat did not work at all.

We stayed here because it was one of the cheapest places available for a one night stay in Canmore. The hotel is located just off the highway. The only parking available is street parking. If it's busy you may be parking quite a ways away deok the building. The hotel has seen better days and it looks like they're looking to renovate in the near future. The room we stayed in was very small but good enough for a quick stay. None of the rooms have air conditioning, only a window. The rooms are all heated by in-floor heating, which means it can take between 5 to 7 hrs for you to notice any change in temperature if you adjust the thermostat. The buffet breakfast was better than most with hashbrowns, beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast/cereal and a waffle maker. My biggest issie was the bed and the terribly uncomfortable mattress. It is in serious need of replacement to say the least. For a quick stay it'll do the trick but if you're looking to stay a few night's or long term find somewhere else.

This place is outdated, dirty and poorly kept. We requested a room with a balcony and mountain view and were given room without balcony and with a courtyard view. There was clothes in the robe left possibly by a previous guest, the towels were dirty and we had to ask for clean towels. There were numerous different botles of hair conditioners and lotions in the bathroom but not one with a shampoo. Staff seems to be disinterested and there just 'doing a job', with 'no care' attitude.
Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

Windtower was fantastic! We did our group booking with this hotel, and you can’t beat their prices & free warm breakfast! At $99 standard room, $149 1 bedroom suite – the bride & groom get 2 nights FREE when booking! They have a personalized banner for the newlyweds when guests enter the hotel, and when our guests checked in, they gave out cookies and adorable door cards for the wedding itself. This is service I’ve never heard of! Some of the rooms are a little out-dated (but still nice), but my bridal suite was INCREDIBLE! Everything was updated and it made such a gorgeous backdrop for my ‘getting ready’ photos. The staff also helped organize a private function for us in their dining room the next day. They cleaned up after breakfast service, kept some staff on - and re-opened for our private function (Bride & Groom send-off lunch the next day) offering up a full menu for our guests. They really went out of their way for our wedding!

We came here for the first two nights of our Rockies road trip, just looking for a place to crash, and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the suite which had a nice fireplace (just for show), sofas, full kitchen and appliances, washer dryer and a comfy bed and plenty of storage space. Also - ice machine in the hallway.

It was snowing when we were there so we had a great time in the outdoor jacuzzi having snow falling down on us.

The breakfast was included and wasn't bad!

Parking is 5$ a night, we parked outside on the street.

Gym was decent, not amazing. Good enough for us.

Only issue we had is that the hallways sort of feel like they haven't been touched since the seventies, but it didn't really bother us all that much.

Overall, had a pretty good experience.

Arrived at the hotel about 2 hours early hoping to sneak in early but they told us we had to wait until 4. Told the front desk that I looked over the the reviews for the past 2 weeks and that customers complained about cleanliness and how i didn't want that those issues with our room and they told me they would make sure of it and that she will call housekeeping. 10 SECONDS INTO MY ROOM and I lift the sheets to see 2 bugs and multiple hairs on top of the sheets, duvet and pillow. Immediately called Expedia and received a full refund then checked out with ZERO apology from front desk.
Luckily found a 5 star clean, cozy, massive condo with a balcony and kitchen for $17 more then the hotel.

Quite expensive considering the quality of the lodge rooms. But I guess the proximity to Banff is the reason for that. Location is just wonderful.

Room wasn't ready until 7pm. Waited for 10 minutes while the front desk talked on the phone and didn't even acknowledge me. Room was alright but bed was very hard. Room was also very very hot. Not worth the money.

We hosted our son and daughter-in-law’s brunch the morning after their wedding that was held at Cornerstone Theatre. Aaron, the Food and Beverage Manager of the Wind Tower, went above and beyond to offer a hot buffet to our wedding guests with private use of The Wind Tower Patio and restaurant. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. Thank you so much. With much appreciation, Stanton and Stacey
