Wine and Beyond Windermere

Saturday night, had bad experience with a Caucasian young employee. He kept on following us around the store and racially profiling us. I confronted him and made sure he understand am a paying customer. Never going to this place again.

Huge place with macive collection of alcohols. Easy to select your favorite. The name "wine and Beyond is quite appropriate, very sensible and actactive as well.

My 2nd time in a Wine and Beyond store. First time at this location. It's huge with nice large aisles too. Great place to fiind a stocking stuffer or Christmas gift too!

Love the selection of wines as well as other liquor products. Friendly, and helpful staff too.

Definitely will shop here again!

Stuart and his team were fantastic and super helpful. Stuart helped us with our selection for our wedding. Originally we were considering Costco, but Wine and Beyond not only has way more choices but also accepted all the remaining alcohol for a full refund! Highly recommend setting a meeting with Stuart for your wedding needs.

They know what they're talking about. Try asking them about an obscure wine like Gammay Noir, or an obscure whisky like Lagavulin 16, and they will know about it, some of the history about it, etc. Great classy store. This is whatvthe LCBO in Ontario should strive to be.

Excellent customer service, wide variety of products, and they carry high-end items. We found some scotch that we had been looking for as well. Well laid out store and very knowledgeable staff. Great place and well be back!

I didn’t want to put this review but I figured nothing will be done to rectify the issue. I have been to this store a couple of times and every time I’ve been there, I have been racially profiled. I have also read some of the reviews that are on here and I realized I’m not the only one experiencing some sort of unprofessionalism and I really think the someone needs to look into this store and their workers immediately! This is unacceptable with all costs. I will not recommend this location to anyone.

It was a pleasure to provide technology here for the Global Brand Ambassador event, for which my company was subcontracted by XMC Marketing. Reynan, the supervisor, was extremely helpful with respect to allowing me convenient building access for loading in and loading out, and showing me where all of the electrical access is. She knows all of the answers, and deserves a raise and a medal! Also, the store has awesome giraffes that are standing on their toes while wearing socks (pictured). Thank you for helping streamline the logistics for my team and me. Hope to come back again!

This location has an incredibly vast collection of wine, beer, whiskeys, and everything else. I love the limited edition and exclusive bourbons. The tasting bar is a wonderful feature but could use a little more frequent rotation.
There is also a growler bar with plenty of taps to choose from. I also like the fact they have a dedicated gluten free and gluten reduced beers section, though I did see a number of other options on the shelves that were not anywhere near this area. Some products, I believe, the staff is not aware are GF/GR so it would be awesome to see that GF beer section fully filled with ALL the options available in store. With the mind boggling extense of the beer section it can be difficult to find the GF/GR options "hiding" in plain sight.

Biggest and best wine and beyond in the city. Super knowledgeable staff. And every time I’ve asked about particular alcohols, they always have an expert on staff that they call, that can give awesome knowledgeable answers. Amazing selection because of the sheer size of the store

Only place I've found in Edmonton that sells "Glühwein" seasonally. Also, biggest wine selection I've seen otherwise. Definitely a great place to shop for anything you may not find at other liquor stores.

When ever I visit the store, Dan always gives the most impeccable service. He takes the the time to make sure he helps find the product I'm looking for. As well I love that my dogs are able to accompany me into the store as the store is dog friendly. Dan and fellow co-workers always have treats on hand for canine friends.

Shout out to Alan for his expertise, guidance, and excellent customer service. Within 2 minutes of arriving he approached us to find out our needs and helped us pick the perfect bottle of wine to pair with our prime rib dinner. He was extremely knowledgable about wine and provided a great experience.

Never had bad experiences at any of the W&B before, up until today.

Found a great sale on the Caymus Special Select at local liquor store and bought a few of those bottles there. I also wanted to try a different vintage of the same bottling, so I called up the South W&B location. They were more than happy to price match with the original store, with no issues.

A week later, after trying the 2 different vintages, I went to see if the Terwillegar location had anymore of the 17 vintage Caymus SS. I was helped by Rob and he was pretty approachable at first, up until the point I asked if he could price match the bottle. Throughout the rest of our encounter, he was pretty snarky, saying how that price is practically at cost and telling me a phone call to the original store holding the sale wasn't good enough, and that the Southside location should have never accepted a phone call as proof either; even though that's how he validated the price match. He was also quick to tell me how he's going to send an email to lock the price of the bottle, so there wouldn't be anymore price matching for it.

Honestly, it was so unpleasant I was ready to walk out, but felt obligated after already having him to get it from the locked cooler, validating the price match, etc.

A simple and kind "no, I'm sorry we can't do that" would've sufficed. I'm a business owner myself, so I can understand if you can't accommodate for something. Infact, im almost certain most people would rather take a "no" than to be treated like second class just to save a few bucks.

Probably the best liquor store I ever have seen. So many different types of wine, whiskey, beer to choose.

A good selection of pretty much any category your looking for. While they do not have everything, they definy cover most of the popular brands. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and make good suggestions. Lastly they have the best growlers bar I have seen in Edmonton so far.

Staff are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and always ready to help. It’s quite easy to feel comfortable asking for assistance or input from any of their staff and the selection is second to none

Always super helpful staff here. I walked in a must have looked a bit lost since a man came up and asked what I was looking for. I gave him a small list of lesser known things he knew EXACTLY where they were!

I loved this place, had been with my brother in law to get some alcohol, they have such variety, the collection is really appreciated, they also organised beautifully and you really wonder on what to buy because there's so much. You are are looking for some specific drink then you may find it here. You have so much to explore here you can easily be lost in absorbing the information. You must definitely visit this place

I was looking for certain brands of beer, I had some trouble finding them. A store attendant noticed this and took the time to find them for me. I really appreciated this to help me, he was very welcoming and pleasant as well. While at the till the young lady offered to get me a cart to place my items so I could get them out to the truck in the parking lot. This was very kind of her. I certainly will be back soon for my shopping needs. Very nice staff. Thank you again.

Experience/observation: discrimination against people with medical conditions, which is against human rights. They don't deserve your money if you are an individual who still cares

Probably the largest verity of beverages and accessories found here. The staff in store really do know their stuff. If you ask a question you will get the most informative answer. Larger store with plenty of choices. I did not purchase the $64000 liquor bottle, so, still it’s up for grabs if you are interested!

May 24 2021: After purchasing a 3 month old expired craft soda, I attempted to return the unused portion however I did not hold onto the receipt because well, Covid. The operations manager was unwilling to look up the transaction ID stating that "[she] doesn't have time", "they don't have an easy system to do this", and "[she's] very busy". I told her I would wait or better yet we can schedule an appointment soon to complete the return. She was also unwilling to do this. Fortunately she agreed to exchange it for another flavour at the same price point. All of the packs of 2 other different flavors were expired by 1-3 months. I suggested to have an associate look through their non-alcoholic selection and was met with a condescending tone. I felt bullied as a customer and will be contacting their customer service.

A great liquor store with fantastic selection. Something for every budget. A wide selection of Alberta craft beers, and many others from out of province.

The people are always helpful and willing to share their experiences with the products. You come here for the variety and the good people.

Best place to by wine and other alcoholic drinks and also you will get unique accessories. Also there’s tasting area but due to covid I am not sure when they gonna open it.

Probably the LARGEST selection of wine, beer and spirits you'll find in Edmonton. You can even taste some of their stock they have on tap! All there staff our Super friendly and Very knowledgeable. They might even teach you a thing or two.

The best thing about this place is the selection. It is like nothing I have ever seen anywhere else it's crazy in there.

Lots of different products here. It's a big store. The have seminars throughout the month. They have a big tasting area in the middle as well as a growler bar. Bar accessories and novelty items. Mixes. Knowledgeable, friendly staff!

They always have an incredibly huge selection of liquor/beer/wine. If you can't find something anywhere else you can usually find it here. I only wish they had better and more sales as their regular prices are higher than most places.

It never ceases to amaze my how in such a large store with a massive inventory almost any staff member you speak to can help you find what you're looking for. It also seems that everytime I'm here I find something new and interesting to try.

I went to the Windermere location for a going away present (craft dark beers) which I knew nothing about. Stefan was so helpful and help me pick out beers for the gift basket. He asked me lots of questions which resulted in the perfect gift. Thanks for making my shopping easy

They carry the widest selection of alcoholic beverages - this store has just about everything you could think of.
Luckily they also have incredible people working there who are very knowledgeable.

Very large location with above average selection and hosts many interesting tasting events including a blind tasting series that is exceptional.

What a BIG A$$ store. That's a lot of whine. Kind of a trek if you want a simple bottle of whisky but it's interesting to check out all the goodies.

Between their great growler bar & their amazing selection, there's something for everyone. I always find cool, new products to try there. And they have lots of single serve items so you can try new alcohol types and flavours without buying a whole bunch. The staff are great at helping you find what you are looking for. I'd like it better if they had more cider on their growler bar (or at least stocked more so they don't run out). I've had a couple of instances where I couldn't fill my growler with my desired cider because their keg didn't have enough left. Luckily, that's not a regular occurrence.

Largest Wine and Beyond in the city with best selection. They offer numerous classes and events. I've attended 2 and they were well run and generous with sampling.

If I could improve one thing, I find the staff don't have nearly as much knowledge on the beer they sell as somewhere like Sherbrooke or Keg and Cork. They still howevermake solid recommendations.

More selection (wine, beer, liquor) than anywhere else in the city. Unless you are just looking for beer, in which case Sherbrooke Liquor has the best selection of beer.and most of it is kept cold.

Whether you are looking for something fancy and expensive or your favorite coolers on sale.this is the coolest place to go. They literally have the best selection of everything. Thr staff ia super helpful and knowledgeable as well. There is lots of parking. You can also buy some gift items here like decorative wine glasses. They also have every flavour of sourpuss so thats why I love it here. Definitively reccomend checking out.

Amazing selection, the best Wine and Beyond store I've been to. No matter what I'm looking for, this location always has it. I wont even bother with the other locations anymore.

I called the store to enquire about whether members get a discount. As this is not clear on the on-line sign up form. The robot that answered kept looping me back to dial again.
Oh well. Guess I will keep buying at Costco.

This is a great store. They have sampling available before you buy for some drinks. Staff are very Knowledgeable.
