Awsome service, staff was very helpful, first nation discount is great, also has a good resturaunt in parking lot with a good menu, swimming pool is too damn cold though

Strands of hair everywhere, leftover food in fridge, stains on bedsheet etc.

As FYI, if you have a complain or feedback, don't even bother telling the "house keeping manager", she is so defensive, lacks training and incompetent. Speak to anyone else instead.

Not much variety in the breakfast when staying several days but it gets the job done. Lot of sketchy characters hanging out in the parking lot though. Hotel itself was fine, room was clean and hotel overall was in great shape.

Overall it's an good hotel especially if you have children as there is a pool with a slide but without my kids I would probably choose to stay elsewhere. Pros: The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean, complimentary breakfast, the pool area and fitness room, the AC in the rooms works well, it's located close to the mall and amenities. Cons: It can be loud since a lot of families stay here (ask to not be by the elevator or stairs), the beds are quite firm which isn't my preference, and I don't like their pillows so always bring my own.

Rooms are spacious but limited with electrical outlets. As a techie, i was disappointed.

Wingate in West Edmonton is an older property but still has great service and amenities. Love the Homefire grill located on the same property. Room was good and clean. Breakfast was decent. Hot tub was a little on the cool side for my liking.

Wingate was a very decent hotel. Rooms were clean, swimming area was great, and the breakfast was alright. Was a little turned away from the minor stains in the bed sheets but could have been worse. Love staying at the Wyndham hotels though. If anything I’d have to say what made our stay the best was the front desk lady Sonya. She was nothing shy of amazing and I can’t thank her enough for taking care of my family and I. Anything I had a problem with or needed she was right there to take care of it. It’s faces and personality like that that keeps the business afloat. I do hope the manager recognizes the staff there like her and front desk lady Michelle. It’s people like you that will have us coming back.

4-stars across the board for a 3-star hotel. The pool, waterslide and hot-tub are great amenities but the weekend was crowded. The morning breakfast room was overcrowded on weekend. For a hotel this size there should be a larger area for breakfast so you don't feel jammed in. The rooms were comfortable although there is minor maintenance lacking in the bathroom. I would try a hotel a bit further out if it meant less crowding.

Excellent value. Hotel was clean and the staff were working hard to make everyone’s stay comfortable. Breakfast was good, hotel pool was very fun for the kids. Hallways were a little noisy as we were trying to go to sleep the first night, but that’s hard for the hotel to do much about. Great place to stay if you want to check out West Edmonton mall.

The rooms are older, outdated. The beds were old dirty and lumpy. The rooms weren’t cleaned. The walls have zero sound barrier so you could hear everything. The pool and hot tub area was very dirty- hair floating in the pool and zero towels. It costed $25 a movie in the room! Overall we were very disappointed: (the pictures online are very outdated and deceiving! I couldn’t even get service from the front desk from our rooms!

Pleasantly surprised! Our king bed room was much larger than expected. Room is spacious and included a chair, desk, fridge, microwave. Room was clean and the decor is modern and simple. Front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were clean and well kept. We didn't eat the breakfast but it was nice that it was an option. Plenty of parking and close to the mall and easy access to the Anthony Henday. Room rates were reasonable and we felt like we got value for what we paid. Thank you for a great stay!

The rooms were alright but not for the price. The breakfast was terrible. Then You are paying $140 a night for the cleaning ladies to steal things from your room. I had just bought a nice pair of MK sandals for $130 wore them once and then went to check out and my shoes are no where to be found. I had them on the dresser right by the tv and you can’t tell me they just grew legs and walked away. I check my car, my bag the whole room twice. Told the manager and of course the cleaning lady said no I haven’t seen them. She said the 3 days we were there she didn’t once see black sandals in the room but why would she say yes I seen them or I have them. Very disappointed because now I am out $130. What if that was my only pair of shoes

Absolutely wonderful service throughout rhe day and evening. Thank you to the staff for going the extra mile and ensuring all our needs were met.

Definately the waterside. Hot breakfast.comfy beds and amazing staff members. It was busy during our stay but the staff kept the hot food and coffee full all while keeping All areas clean. I hope Management realizes and appreciates all their hard work. Thx for a enjoyably trip!

DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY AND NOISY.
Found bodily fluids on couch and bloody booger on bathmat (not to mention the walls). Beyond gross. The front desk staff didn't care or try to rectify. Cut stay short. Won't be back again. Woke up abruptly to a person's phone alarm vibrating against the paper thin walls and weird high pitch squeal from what I am assuming is the plumbing. Had high hopes but so very disappointed. Overpriced for 2 nights stayed and had initially booked for 5 nights but couldn't stick it out. Won't recommend.

I fell outside hotel on their uneven walk, broke my hip. A staff member asked if I was ok and I said no he just stood there while other guests helped get me up off the cement, he did not go in and let anyone know. I was visiting Edmonton on my own. No one from hotel stayed with me until the ambulance came, but when speaking with manager he seemed to be impressed that his assistant manager actually called the ambulance. Very disappointed as they do not seem to be concerned with the safety and well being of their guests.
Also took 4 calls to get them to send over a copy of my bill. NOT IMPRESSED

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Kid friendly, awesome pool.
Breakfast was included with lots of variety. Would stay here again.

Do not stay here, absolutely terrible the bathtubs are cracked so you can’t use the bathtub or shower without fear of cutting your foot open.

Stayed a couple nights arriving on a Sunday while my spouse was working in Edmonton. Room was great other than the filters for the furnace/air conditioner. Kids loved the pool and the breakfast. My kids made whom will be life long friends, which was awesome. They were there and going to be for a while, that when my spouse went back up for work.the following week we surprised them by coming back too. This time we got there on a Friday, which depending your reasons for going it may be not for you. Prices do get hiked up as they are very busy usually with group functions, so supply and demand. Pool gets packed with kids. I am used to noise having 5 kids so didn't notice to say as far as some other reviews go. Weekday is definitely more quiet and enjoyable. Having a young child with autism she struggles in lines. It was upsetting how awful kids can be and I even apologized to a group of these girls and explained the situation, which I was disgusted by their behavior after as it only got worse. This room filters were clean and everything looked great. I have to give a special shout out to Sonya at the front desk. She is the epitome of what you want at the front desk of a hotel. She was awesome and most importantly real. All walks of life and lifestyles walk through the doors of hotels and she treats everyone with dignity and respect with one goal to make it your best stay and feel like home. House keeping were all awesome too but the manager was not the most pleasant. Look forward to returning

Very comfortable bed, very very helpful staff. Only thing that knocks the rating down a star is the fact that they don't have a curtain thick enough to block out the street lamp that was shining directly into my room. I had to get creative (see photos). Would strongly suggest installing thicker curtains, otherwise good luck getting any sleep. That being said, the two ladies at the front desk were absolutely fantastic, and were able to check me in over 4 hours early. Really appreciate that!

I stayed here last october (october 11 - october 13) 'cause i wanted a night or two at a hotel a week before i went to vegas for my 21st birthday (went like a month after my birthday) and i enjoyed it here! I also stayed here in march 2010, which is why i chose this hotel.
