Bought a dark red peacoat and a lightweight beige coat here for only $8 each. They also had very warm, thick Calgary weather scarves for only $2 each. Very affordable prices and a friendly staff. There are fitting rooms to try things on. Highly recommend stopping by!:)
I'm impressed of Julie's management skills. She organizes the store very neatly. I've been a WINs customer for over 10 years now and I could see the difference when someone takes charge of the store seriously.
My partner and I are regular customers of this WINs location and have been meaning to make this review for the wonderful ladies who work very hard there. Isabela is one of the lovely positive people you will meet and won't forget! She is so grateful to just be alive. Always friendly and welcoming to everyone who walks in the door! She is just one of the many personable women and men who work and donate their time to stock and manage this much loved and appreciated community thrift store! I would recommend checking it out as you never know what wonderful things you'll find, and you might make a friend or two along the way!
Thank you everyone at WINS for all your hard work, I appreciate being able to get all that I need for myself and my kids. Unfortunately I have seen the prices going up a lot around the store day by day which is very disappointing as it is getting harder and harder for me to afford items like I used to. The prices are drawing me away from going to the store which I don’t like to say because there is a lovely lady who works there. Her name is Isabella and she is the kindest funniest person, every time I go in, I hope to see her and the smile she brings to my face. She always welcomes customers with cheer, joy, and humour. And I am going to miss her even more than I miss the items that I used to be able to afford
There is an employee named Holly.she is a kind and welcoming person who always smiles and starts up nice conversations! Great employee, she's a good hire
I have been a regular customer here for over 10 years and shop here at least once a week. Their items are reasonably priced especially since they have discount days. The staff are generally friendly. I had come in about a week ago and found an item for a great deal and undoubtedly had to grab it. As I was paying for it the manager Lucy was on til. She had seen the price and immediately started making slick remarks to herself and coworker as I was standing in front of her. She was fidgeting with the price tag to see if it had been switched. I understand this is a common thing in thrift stores but being a regular customer I expected a little more respect. She had seen that the tag was untouched and said she would have to change the price. After seeing how angry she was and the scene she had caused I told he I no longer wanted any of my items and will no longer be shopping there. It’s a shame since I have been coming here for so long but this isn’t the only time I have seen the manager act so unprofessional.
Very busy today as it was 50 percent off. The first Wednesday of the month. Only 17 people in the store at once. No bathroom. Lots of people standing in.
No social distancing. Noparking, no place to donate from a back door/alley, many bulky sports equipment in my vehicle, one WINS volunteer not offering to help bring anything in for me. 3 other staff assisting a single person at the till. Inefficient and ineffective! Take a clue from Calgary Bow Trail Goodwill Donation Centre and help people who wish to donate! I won't be back as a shopper nor donor after today.
