My wife and i had a great time at this place, the Chai Latte and the banana bread we ordered were delicious, they have a good selection of boardgames to choose from and for a small fee you can play as long as you want.

If you love board games and or love a good place to enjoy some coffee and have a relaxing conversation for a reasonable price this is the place to go.

I absolutely love wizards loft. Staff is always great, atmosphere here is always positive and enjoyable. And the Boardgames here are very reasonably priced. As someone who likes to support local business but also save themselves a buck. This place is great, I've found the prices to be cheaper, the same. Or very slightly above and for me that's worth it.

Awesome place! I hope to come again. I was impressed by the beautiful and delicious beverages, as well as top notch service!

Went in with my 3 kids who all had gift cards to spend, the place had a great amount of things to look at and to search through. Staff was incredibly patience and helpful. Thanks again! Boys are jazzed with their choices!

I cant speak to the food or drinks, as I was just there for some game shopping, but DUDE! What a cool place!

Huge selection of board games, card games, figurines, collectibles, just.wow. Staff was all super friendly and knowledgable, facility is clean and modern, and we are definitely looking forward to going in for a game session there soon!

So heres how it works.you pay a fee ($7 per person I believe) and you can play any of the games on the shelves there (huge selection).

Just a block behind superstore, its quick and easy to get to. Go check them out, and do some Christmas shopping, or even just drop in and try out some of their board games. I couldnt even estimate how many games they have there for people to play in store.

Love to try and support my local game stores and the wizards loft is amazing. Can pay a fee to play tons of board games downstairs, a cafe area to get refreshments and upstairs had all sorts of Magic, Pokémon, Warhammer items for sale and even more tables to play card games. Do lots of events throughout the week for different games as well.

Love this store. Will always go back. Lovely lady with purple hair was wonderful, probably needed another person working the cafe with her though.

My boyfriend and I play magic and he goes there every week to play commander and the store is just amazing always have fun on board game nights and their wraps are killer! Blake and his staff are super nice and welcoming whether you're a beginner (me) or a borderline pro (my bf) :)

Fantastic store with a very well thought concept. Licensed Cafe downstairs that serves food. For a reasonable fee, you can sit there and play board/card games until your heart is content. Upstairs is an amazing little shop that actually had a game I had been looking for for years.
Both employees were informative and pleasant to talk to. Great work guys!

Lacking customer service skills. Also, pre ordered magic and Pokémon, was quoted a price but when it arrived they increased the price 40 percent. Never experienced that from any other shop! Avoid!

Best card/game store I've ever been too! The Cafe is amazing and the people here are great! I've been across half of Canada and they serve THE BEST vanilla latte in western Canada! It's my little corner of paradise.

This has quickly become my go to place for board games and any trading card game you can think of. The staff have been incredibly welcoming, inviting, and their knowledge is unmatched. If you are into any type of table top games I can't recommend this location enough, I have never left disappointed.

Although I cannot speak on the food (as I didn't get any) I did spend time here on the merchandise! I bought myself Pokemon Cards and I must say the Wizard's Loft is the place to get them as well as other nerdy merch/games.

Fairly priced items, a wide variety, and such kind and helpful staff. You'd be crazy to go elsewhere in the city.

Amazing Staff, Outstanding customer service as well as an extremely friendly environment. They answered all questions I had weather they were obvious or not. Will always recommend to anyone to go there at least once to experience the atmosphere!

Went in today with my wife, we’re pretty green when it comes to board games so we were disappointed when we went in, one lady was working at the cafe and a group of guys were hanging out upstairs, no one said “hello, ” or “can I help you guys find anything? ”

We spent 15 minutes there looking through games, lots of options and seems like fun. Just came off as more of a hangout spot for intermediate and experts than a place for beginners to learn.

Others may have a different experience, but this was perception. It’ll be YouTube tutorials and amazon shopping for us. Lol

This is one of the best board game cafes I've been to. Welcoming atmosphere, very clean, and really great snacks/beer.

11/10. My wife go all the time now.

The cafe gives off a great vibe, drinks taste very well made, they know basically every tcg and board game out there, and are pretty cool people to chat with. They also make sure to update their hours and everything which is very much appreciated.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were pleasant and friendly. The shop is fairly accessible for people with mobility issues, and the staff were very happy to help with anything that arose. The food was DELICIOUS (get the cinnamon buns). We were able to sit and play as long as we wanted, and the staff were great about checking in and making sure all was good. The game was a blast, the atmosphere is wonderful, just a great place all around!

Weekly Warhammer Wednesday and beer on tap. Hundreds of boardgames to try out and a store upstairs for all your trading card game needs. Kid friendly, but don't let your children roam unsupervised and make a mess.

Great store but not a replacement for The Stack/Nerd City. I'd love to be able to pay to get access to terrain, minis and maps (perhaps specific D&D tables with a grid board or something?) It'd be great to get snacks and coffee from the cafe section while playing, even if you can't put it in a more private area.

Great experience at the store. The staff is amazing, and helped my every need. This is THE place for anyone looking into getting into Magic The Gathering, Warhammer, or even just to chillax and have a few beers and play board games after work. Mark my words, I will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic, my favourite place in town! Everyone is so friendly, and the staff are super knowledgeable about the games. The food is great too! I can't recommend this place enough.

I have yet to be able to sell one card at this store. The last 5x I have been there there is always some issue or they want you to leave your cards there. I do not understand this business.

I have bought from this shop a few times now, clean building, well organized poor management. My main issues come from the staff and business practices. If you intend to be a local game store then you should sell the cards people want to them when they come in. Myself and as of today at least 2 friends of mine, have been denied buying 5 singles or less using the excuse of "we have X online orders backed up right now, those cards might be on those lists sorry cant sell singles". This is without even asking the card names. If online is the only way you want to sell singles there are cheaper places in Canada to shop from. Will avoid shopping here in the future. We waited years for a decent LGS we can wait again. I will not pay 7$ simply to sit in a store, a sitting fee is a sign things are not going well financially.

Best local gaming store anywhere! I’ve been dealing with them in this and previous iterations, always the friendliest and most knowledgeable gaming people I’ve met.

Great little shop. Although I did not eat when I visited the Barista was very polite and explained how the downstairs works. Food did look tasty and they had a huge selection of boardgames. Upstairs is the store and has a huge selection of board games, minis (Warhammer, D&D). Will go back again for longer!

I come here all the time to buy cards, but today I actually stayed and played games downstairs and it was lots of fun:) great place to hang out.

Was looking for a new tabletop store open late so I could get some new MTG cards. Walked into a friendly and chill environment and was instantly pointed in the right direction. Amazing customer service with great tips and knowledge and was bestowed a vast selection of recommendations and options according to my needs and budget. I have only scratched the surface of this magical land and will definitely be one of my go to locations for expanding my collection.

I haven't had time to visit them yet but their attention to detail and the steps they've taken to keep their clients safe has been impressing me from afar. I'm glad Red Deer has such a local business!

This is one of the best businesses in Red Deer with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a focus on customer service. Their board game selection is on point with prices that are comparable to online retailers and consistently lower than those at other physical stores.

Blake and his crew have done a great job with the new store, despite all the setbacks caused by COVID. Can't wait to see it when it's fully up and running. Should be a great place to sit down and play a game in a friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely the best deals around on your tabletop gaming needs! Great selections on board games, tabletop game supplements and card games, very excited for the cafe level to open soon and check out a ton of new board games with less of an upfront investment than buying them outright.

Wizards Loft is literally the best place for all things nerd! D&D check! Blake and the team have a great selection and great knowledge! MTG ohh you betcha, they have the most organized single collection ever! That’s right you don’t have to dig around 50 disorganized boxes! Just tell The team what you want and Wizards Loft has it quickly accessible for you! Don’t play war hammer but they have a seriously impressive selection there as far as I can tell! 10/10 best store in town

Highly recommended! Yesterday was my first time in the shop as I'm a latecomer to the world of MTG. Guys were awesome and extremely helpful. Bought far more than I went in for as their boardgame selection is amazing and I found a game we have been looking for. Great prices too, easily competitive to online pricing. Will be back for sure.

Super helpful owner. He talked my 10 y.o. Through his MTG purchase and treated him just like any other customer. I look forward to trying out some of their big group game nights in the future!

Pretty excited to see what happens here over the next few months, this is a great upgrade from their previous location. Bear with the construction as getting setup in the middle of a pandemic isn't a picnic.
The guys here gave me some solid advice to getting back into building and painting my models that are still in the box.
Lots of selection to choose from if models aren't your thing: magic the gathering, dnd, board games and more. I definitely will come back here if I need more hobby supplies.

Stopped in on a whim and felt immediately welcomed by the staff! I bought a fantastic set of solid metal dice and I found everything to be reasonably priced. I will definitely be back in to buy a board game sometime, the shop has an astounding variety of them.
