Please let people know you only take high quality items and you are not interested in low quality items. At Calgary drop in centre: free goods & donation centre they accept all things if you don't want it thrown in the garbage.

I was referred to WINS by my social worker. When I went to my scheduled appointment, I was told by Rebecca that they didn't have an appointment for me. She then implied that I was a liar for this mishap, claiming that their staff don't make mistakes like this. She later apologized, but I found this so offensive.
I was eventually given the voucher, but they didn't have the items I'd needed then.
I later received a phone call stating that because I have legal medical mask exemption, I was not welcome to come into the store without a mask. They couldn't accommodate me and my disability.
Rebecca then stated that I could have someone shop on my behalf.
A friend went into the store to shop for me and was turned away.
I then called with questions, and was told that no one can shop on my behalf except wins staff. After this runaround I suspect that Rebecca is prejudiced against my legal exemption, because she has been rude to me throughout my experience with WINS. I do not believe she has the empathy or skill to be working with folks in need.

Without resources such as WINS, MORE women would be without basic needs.i am blessed to have the use of their support

Don't know how they stayed in business this long. They sell mostly garbage ready to go to the landfill items.it's better to go to value village.don't waste your time here

The ladies manning the cash register and providing customer service have a general chip on their shoulders
I shudder when I see a few of the long term employees. They are quick to assume the worst of everyone! I've witnessed them question customers about what they have in their bags or are impatient when at the jewellery counter. And I've personally experienced their wrath when they were upset they included a lulu head band with a bunch of others in the multi pack. They tried to say I put it in there but failed in that endeavour because it was clearly marked and stapled together. Huge turn off and not Christian like at all.
In comparison, the men working in the back, with the appliances and furniture etc.are kind and helpful and represent the Christian spirit.

Furniture is expensive considering its donated for these abused women. Great cause but how much of these high profits are usedfor the women seems alk these goowill type of stores are just overprices and do very little for their causes

This is a super large store & very clean & organized! Prices are reasonable. I always visit to find new treasures & they never disappoint me. I also donate to WIN as they help the community!

Always find something amazing! Yesterday, locally made jodphurs, $5 and an Alfred Sung overcoat, $7.

I understand that they use the money to fund beneficial programs, however I found the prices to be overly high. Many items I could buy brand new for comparable or lower costs
21 December 2019 10:36
Prices have went up a noticable amount since their renovations. I get the feeling like the prices no longer go to charity but to frills within the store. Lots of trinkets and womens clothing. Not much else.
22 November 2019 19:16
Prices are still low unlike some thrift stores & most importantly you are supporting a good cause by shopping there. They also have a lot of furniture!
13 November 2019 20:44
WINS is doing a great job in helping lower income groups fight the day to day requirements by providing for fairly used items at a great bargain. U shall find clothes, furniture, accessories, electronics and everything else which shall help you setup your home in no time. And if u do have some stuff with you which has been rarely used, kindly give them a call and donate to spread the love.

They have different deals going on for different days of the month. They also have a student day with 25% off.

It's a thrift store with quite a number of good household items but be early any day of visit because items are quickly taken over and marked sold for the day.

A friend and I dropped off done donations as he is moving soon. The young gentleman that accepted our donations was super friendly and very appreciative of our donated goods. I've not been inside the store however.

Great affordable prices! Robin was a big help for me when I needed a hand with something! Most of the staff are helpful when they're free.:)
14 September 2019 18:03
Pricey for used items, when compared to value village and other thrift stores. Love the concept that proceeds go in favor of women in need but they need to improve their offering
04 April 2019 22:11
The store is nicely laid out and good prices but worst customer service the lady was rude and no people skills at all
14 February 2019 16:24
A thrift store with a difference, their products are in better than condition than other thrift stores have been to.
12 February 2019 16:50
Great thrift store. If you need quick furniture or are starting out or over. Prices are well set and there are always deals going on. Unlike other places, This one gives back to the community so you can feel good about where your loonies go.
04 February 2019 16:03
Always nice to see changes in the store to improve service. Very clean and staff are somewhat friendly
03 January 2019 2:10
Was the best thrift store in Calgary until 2017 after that they stopped displaying toys and random kitchen stuff, vases and indoor/outdoor decorations.
Prices are really cheap and affordable
