WorldMark Canmore-Banff

The place is fantastic. Rooms are a bit smaller than expected and the lack of a fireplace in the winter was a bummer. The only reason I knocked it a bit was that we had to open windows to cool the place down and our room being above the pool and spa, when the windows were closed while gone smelled like an indoor pool. Not being petty, liked our week here and with 2-ply toilet paper would have loved it. You will hear the people walking in the room above you.

The hotel contacts you when you forget something which is super nice. They will even ship it to you if you forget something which is nice. The hotel rooms are nice with good appliances. The only down fall is that they close the pool when it is too cold out. This is unfortunate because my family loves swimming and going in the hot tub. The hot tub is super nice as it is outside. They could even put mats down in the cement when it’s too cold out.

Very nice place. We have a timeshare there. The one bedroom unit is quite small. Don't get if you are a large person or have limited mobility.
Staff was very friendly.
They need more outside seating. Only 2 chairs out and 4 picnic tables all pushed together. Free bus to town we loved that. And bus service to Banff, $3.00 each way for seniors, otherwise $6.00 fare. Great deal. They charge per person if you drive and charge for parking too. Restaurants are pretty pricey, so bring some of your own food. Loved all the trails.beautiful area.

Wonderful spot with all the amenities and all the views. Makes Canmore, Banff, and Jasper very accessible while still being out of town enough for it to be very quiet. Staff was very helpful, especially Ian.

5 stars, great location, got underground parking. 2 minutes drive from Canmore, 30 minutes from banff. Room was clean, full kitchen, check-in was pleasant, everyone at the front desk was very friendly. WIFI is not free as Expedia advertised. 4.99 USD per 24 hours.

Beware Canadian Vacationers. If you call this resort, they give you a toll free number to call. I didn't realize it was to the US to a company called Extra Holidays. When I booked my reservation and then called back to extend it, I was told how much I was going to pay. Nobody at Extra Holidays (who does the booking and collects your money) told me I would be paying in US dollars. Therefore, my trip cost me an extra 29%! This is completely untransparent and the company would not do anything to rectify this matter. I stated that I was Canadian and this resort was close to where I live. Nowhere an the reservation did it say it was in US dollars. In fact, Extra Holidays made a point of not including the amount on both of my reservations. Because WorkdMark Canmore-Banff does not handle any money, they washed their hands of it too.

I did have a great time at the resort but this just put a sour taste in my mouth. I will not go back because of this. There are many other hotels in the Canmore and Banff area that area available and you won't have to pay 29% more than you were quoted. Next time I will find one of those places. And it will also be one that doesn't make you checkout at 10 am!

Comfortable suites, good location. With access to mountains and the city centre. Pool and hot tub were so nice after long days of skiing.

Very nice resort, we enjoyed biking from here all over Canmore. Nice amenities, has a nice relaxed atmosphere, very quiet.

Stunning location, just outside of main street canmore. Fairly close to anything you could need. Phenomenal service. Great parking, with a separate underground parkade. Can't ask for much more!

Really loved the location and all the amenities at the WorldMark Canmore-Banff. Slight disappointment that you had to pay for internet in this day when every place is giving for free.

Our one bedroom unit was nice. Kitchenette is useful. Decent location just outside of the town of Canmore. The biggest con was that wifi is only free in lobby.

Our family was looking for a potential go-to place to stay in Canmore as we hit a lot of slopes in the area quite frequently. Unfortunately WorldMark Banff-Canmore will not be it. We called the hotel ahead of our trip a couple times just to verify some things like what was in the room and in the area. We also requested a rollout bed as we are travelling with two teenagers. We were assured we would have one reserved. Upon arrival we checked in and realized our toilet would not flush. We informed staff and they had someone take a look. The pipes were frozen and they could not fix it by the time we came back from dinner. No big deal. It was very cold the week we stayed and they moved us into another room. Once we got settled, fairly late in the evening, we called down asking about the rollout as it was not brought to the room. Come to find out that hotel does not have rollouts? ! They continued telling us we were mistaken, we were wrong, that the hide a bed in the room was a rollout, and nobody would ever say they would provide a rollout because they don’t have them. When they kept telling us that they had no idea what we were talking about and kept talking to us as if we were children we went to the front desk, where the behaviour of the staff continued to be completely unprofessional and hostile. Had we been told there were no rollouts we would have planned accordingly. We then find out that WiFi is only for purchase. It is 2022, who does not have free WiFi at a hotel? ! $24 later. Management met with us at the end of our trip and apologized for any inconveniences during our stay but unfortunately the apology fell short, there was no acknowledgment regarding the behaviour of the staff member we dealt with, or any valid reason as to why we were told a rollout would be provided, just a “you must have been mistaken”. Our family travels quite frequently, both for work and pleasure, we expect hiccups, unfortunately one too many at this place. Cannot NOT recommend this place enough.

A really nice place, the rooms were a tad small but was still a comfortable stay. The only thing I didn't really like was the late check-in time (4pm) and early checkout time (10am). The gaming room was also shut down during our 2 night stay.

It was nice to have a fairly complete kitchen. It would be nice if there was a toaster oven instead of a toaster, but all in all, it was a very good place to stay.

We stayed in an one-bedroom suite. Supper friendly staff, nice warm underground parking lot, lovely swimming pool, clean room; this place is great!

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Stunning location. There were some nice touches during Christmas. I'm sure there would be more offered if it weren't for Covid restrictions.

Lovely resort. Great swimming pool, great spaces inside, well laid out suites. I loved the gas fireplace in the room and in the main lobby. Heated indoor parking is limited. Simple kitchen with everything you need. Clean rooms.

We will definitely be back. The accommodations were everything that we needed and the location is great. Rooms were clean and in great condition. We even saw 2 elk a short distance from the building. You're just a quick drive from anything that you need and close to Banff. The mountains are stunning. Just a note about Canmore, EVERYTHING closes early even on a Friday so much sure you eat before coming into town late.

Nice and clean spacious apartment. Friendly and helpful staff. The pool, hot tub and the sauna were open. Will definitely visit this place again.

The only reason I am giving this place 1 star is that the room itself was very nice, clean and well stocked, however, pur experience with staff and Wyndham Hotels specifically was less than pleasant. We needed to cancel our last night at the Worldmark. I talked to the front desk worker night before she said I would need to come at 7am next morning and talk to the front desk worker. I set my alarm for 7am, went to the front desk and asked if I could cancel my last night and receive a refund she said it won't be a problem. I specifically asked multiple times and everytime I received the same answer: You're good to go, you will receive a refund. I also specifically mentioned if I will not receive the refund that I WILL NOT check out. The Lady confirmed and said everything is good, I can check out and will receive the refund. I booked another Hotel, we packed our bags in a hurry to check out by the designated check out time and as I wanted to check out I was told by the same Lady that I may not receive my refund but I can talk to the manager. The Manager reiterated that and said they don't manage the cancelations, he cannot guarantee it. However by then I have already booked another Hotel. As I mentioned above I would have never checked out if I knew this beforehand. Then I called Expedia and they said they will try to resolve it. Unfortunately they were unable to do anything. I am very disappointed in the Service. A Hotel of this standard should know it's policies and if a mistake like this happens they could at least offer a compensation or something to resolve this issue. We were extremely disappointed with how Hotel management went about this issue and the decision Wyndham made and will not be revisiting/staying nor recommending any Wyndham Hotels to anyone unless this issue is resolved.
