WOW Chicken (Kensington)

Wow! What happened to Wow Chicken? Once upon a time it was very good. Tonight's order? Pretty sure this was last year's chicken. Can't even guarantee it was chicken.

Update: I'm pretty sure my order has made me violently ill. At least, I'll shed some unwanted pounds.

I'll never eat here again.

Always my go-to place for fried chicken with reasonable price compared to perfect portion to share or just for myself!

I just used a delivery order. It was so so bad. The price was more expensive than the quality and quantity.

I never recommend this restaurant ever!

Utterly catastrophic. The chicken was stone cold, cost us $40 and only had 20 pieces all together in 2 boxes, and there wasn't even a side menu given with (radish, pickels, etc). Never ordering again. SHAME ON YOU

We got take-out from here Aug 14,2023. The order was submitted in the afternoon, but it wasn't ready on time at 6.

The chicken was quite dry and not well-sauced.

I've had good meals here before, but this was not one of them.

I want to say thank you to the owner, we parked on the side of the road after reading sign wrong and went directly to WOW Chicken to order, the owner checked on the street and didn't see my car, but he was still explaining me that No parking allowed on the street at that time, I pulled the car away immediately, and when I got back, the parking department was issuing tickets. I really appreciate your service and warning, you could have not reminded me. However, you saved my day! !:) Thanks a lot! ! ! ! !

This place has fresh chicken of the highest quality. Very clean, and gorgeous atmosphere. Loved eating here!

The best fried chicken I have ever had. Staff is awesome, we were there trying for the first time and we didn’t order much. Staff realized that we didn’t order enough and have us extra chicken. I really appreciate the good service, staff is awesome!

Been going here for years and they’ve always been consistent when it comes to amazing service and delicious food! I love the soy garlic chicken ️

They never have rice no matter if it's 2 hours before closing. I suggest they buy a smaller rice cooker so they can cook rice to the needs of their customers.

The employees were kind and very caring. They helped out with water and paper towels when ever we needed it. We didn't have to call on the waitresses to refill our water they would do it proactively often. Even though we went in there expecting a fast food experience, we felt like we were in a full professional restaurant. The decor, the clean tables the use of cushion and wood instead of basic plastic on the seats added to our experience. The half and half chicken is a great deal. I was able to share it with my friend and we both felt quite full. I want to thank everyone involved for making our afternoon great.

What a pleasant surprise! We craved chicken and we decided to pick at random! The chicken was absolutely delicious! My server this afternoon was an absolute sweetheart and those fries with that seasoning she suggested was absolutely ridiculous! Flavor town!

Would definitely recommend coming here for some Korean fried chicken especially Soy Garlic chicken and cheese fries:) Friendly staff and fast service. Chicken is cooked fresh with the perfect amount of flavour and not greasy at all. Good proportions and great for sharing with company. The place is kept neat and tidy adding on to the pleasant experience! 5/5

Ordered from here a few times and eaten in once. Staff are friendly and the food is consistant.
Gang Jeong Large and Seasoned Chicken are my go-to order.

I have been on a spree on consuming Korean Fried poultry and here too, I had the soya coated chickens and they were good although there's a lot of batter on some of them: however, perhaps many customers like having some extra batter. In any case, the fried chicken tasted great and the soya sauce was extremely pleasant too. Moreover, the portion was very good and I will definitely come back again.

Fresh, good flavours, crispy and robust coating that holds up well to sauce even next day.

Tad pricy like most Korean fried chicken places but worth a trip/take-out every once in a while.

Tasty! Maybe the best fries I've ever had, and not just because of the seasoning. Perfectly cooked.

Another 5 mins then another more minutes. It’s just frustrating. Im not happy… i ordered only chicken strips and fries but it takes time more than expected.

Chicken tastes good but is on the pricey side, as is their soju. Love the interior and vibes though and servers were very friendly!

First time visiting and the customer service here is great! Even though we just ordered a takeaway I do not feel rushed. They have a dedicated wait area for takeaways and the wait time is reasonable and spot on. Will revise when we dine in on our next visit

One of a kind taste in Calgary, very reasonable and friendly staff. If you like Chicken, you will love WOW chicken. Parking can be a challenge at times.

WOWZA! YUMZA! I’ve been to a few places that sell Korean Fried Chicken here in Calgary and other places but this place is my favourite so far! The price was very reasonable so you get more for your money than any other KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) places in YYC.

The chicken were so crispy and moist and oh so flavourful even without the sauces.

The service was so swift. We ordered 3 different combos and 2 orders of just plain chicken and we were in and out of there in less than 15 minutes! Amazing! And the young lady on the counter was so accommodating about our request for extra sauces on the side and substituting the fries with rice.

This place is highly recommended and I would not mind driving from the deep south of the city all the way to Kensington when I’m craving crispy, flavourful and the most delicious KFC in town!

The best chicken ever! Love the meals because they come with chicken, fries, a drink and even a salad. The sweet sauce is so good for dipping. Awesome, friendly service every time too.
