No soundproof. Noisy hallway and from doors closing by neighboring units. The shower head stays fixed, and there is no hose, inconvenient. Front receptionist service quite blunt. Will look for other options next time.
We spent a night here after flying into Calgary for a trip to Banff. Check-in was smooth, the rooms were clean, and the location is very convenient to the airport. The restaurant downstairs serves some good food that was much needed after a long day of travel. There is some airport noise, but it seems to be dependent on the active runway as it was fairly quiet. As a bonus, there is some wildlife nearby; we saw hares and prairie dogs just outside the hotel grounds many times.
After an unpleasant journey with westjet due to our flight being cancelled we was put up in this hotel for 1 night, we was exhausted and was just grateful for a place to sleep. The rooms were surprisingly very nice and clean with a working hot shower & tv included. Found the receptionist to be a bit firm and not very friendly but we was so overwhelmed by everything that had happened to us in the airport that we let it slide. The morning at breakfast however ruined it for us, there was only 1 lady serving and it was all terribly slow. Over half an hour we waited for 2 coffees and a juice for our daughter. When we ordered food we explained that my partner had an egg intolerance and a severe nut allergy (which is deadly) and she just said ‘ok’. We didn’t feel much confidence in our server and was worried that my partner was going to eat something containing these ingredients. When the food finally arrived it was very greasy and not appealing but we ate it because we had a busy day ahead back at the airport. 1 hour later my partner is then projectile sick all in the airport toilets, we can only think from something in the breakfast he ate. Such a shame as it let it down massively, the 3 stars is for the room but if I could I would rate the restaurant 0.
Awesome experience here, Francine the Manager was great at accommodating my aunt who made an error with her booking. She made the check in stress free! Thank you:) we will definitely be coming back again!
Good choice near the Calgary airport. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. One lady was covering all the tables so she was working very fast, hard and efficiently. They could use more staff at these busy times.
Stayed on August 15th. The front desk staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Sanya in the restaurant was so lovely and we enjoyed our breakfast there. The pool, weight room and rooms were all clean. Airport shuttle was punctual and convenient.
I travel a lot for business and personal- stay in good hotels. This one in calgary wasn’t sure how this is but they surely surprised us. My wife and I were staycationing in calgary. This place was clean and apart from the superior front desk people the breakfast was top notch. Clean and well made food. These ppl really take care of their customers. One of the best coffee I’ve ever had in a hotel. Keep up the good work folks. I will stay there again. All the kitchen staff were fantastic. Thank you.
Reasonable price, fun pool and hot tub, very comfortable and quiet. We loved the room service option our first night in with two tired and wired kids that we didn't want to bring down to the restaurant.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff and great views. I suggested this hotel toy family visiting from Ontario and they loved it the views were beautiful and service exceptional. Will definitely be recommending this hotel to all of my put of town guests.
Nice, clean but service is slow at the front desk, shuttle and restaurant. It took 45 mins to get the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and we had to wait for 40 mins in the shuttle as they only leave every hour on the hour regardless if they have a full shuttle. I will look for another option next time!
I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were respectful, engaging and very helpful. The room was clean and modern. We ate in the restaurant and liked it as well. Highly recommend this hotel!
I never thought a hotel by the airport would be one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, but it's true. I was highly impressed with not only the staff, but the accommodations as well.
This place has a very modern look and feel and has all of the amenities that people actually want, such as a nice TV, refrigerator, microwave, etc. They also offer up books and board-games, which was a nice touch.
There is a shuttle that runs from the airport to the hotel, which is about a 8-10 minute ride. The shuttle crew was very helpful in loading and unloading luggage.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this stay if you're heading to Calgary, especially if you're catching an early flight out of the airport.
Staff was friendly and cordial, the room was perfect and I loved every minute I stayed there. Restaurant prices are good and one of the best chipotle chicken sandwich I've ever had. I cannot wait to travel again to Calgary, this time for a longer stay, Hannah at the restaurant, thanks for the hug and the support when I was all emotional. Thanks girlie! <3
Service was excellent. From the front desk to the lounge and the great shuttle service. All friendly and professional. Room was great. Definitely be back.
Absolutely disappointed. Almost $100 for four bottles of domestic beer, an order of wings, and an order of nachos. The table behind us came in 10 minutes after us, had the same order, and had their food 10 minutes before we did. The nachos received were ice cold, cheese clumped, dry chicken piled on top. A five year old could do better. Staff were not willing to help in any way and ignored us once we said something. The wings were good, but that was it. Beer wasn't even cold.it's beer. How hard is it to get it stocked and cold? Cold food and warm beer. Think they have that mixed up. Brutal and waste of money. Oh, and contacting the location? No point. All they do is try to pass you off from one person to another. Ridiculous. I can't believe how much the lounge went downhill.
EDIT: If you see the response from the 'owner', you will see a number of assumptions and no actual known content. MESSAGE TO THE 'OWNER': no one has ever taken the time to try to contact me to make this right, there was no offer to make anything right at the time. It was avoidance, not acceptance. Warm beer is warm beer - there's no pretending it's at a decent temperature. Check your fridges, check your staff, and most importantly? Check yourself. Make sure you have your ducks in a row prior to responding. Thanks, and take care.
Last night dinner for 1 cost $70 and it was meh. The restaurant closed at 10 am the next day so was unable to get breakfast. Unable to use a hdmi cable to use laptop on tv which seemed to have options locked to only be able to watch tv. Room ended up being about $200 after was told it was $130 on phone. Room was very comfortable but It's 10: 36am, i can't get any food here unless i walk 16 minutes to tim hortons. Probably won't stay here again.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the po and fitness room are open 24 hours. I will definitely stay here again.
Clean, comfortable room. Walk in shower. Comfortable king size bed. Good food in the restaurant. Snacks and essentials available for purchase in the lobby by the desk. Minutes from the Calgary airport
Good value for the money. Very close to the Airport. Staff friendly and efficient. Shuttle was quick when I called from the Airport. Food was good although only the lounge was serving food due to covid and customer numbers. I reccommned this location.
Manager responded by mentioning the discount again. This is only possible after the concern is addressed. The real concern is: Pauline is the assistant manager and should de-escalate the situation, not to make it worse. Pauline's worst attitude and poor customer relation skills reflect hotel's management. When customers are not willing to come back, what is the purpose of discount or upgrade during the next stay mean to you?
Rude rude RUDE people who need to learn hospitality.how do you work at a hotel and not know how to speak to people? I'm not talking about one or two people, the entire managing staff
This was probably one of the worst Hotel experiences for me - and considering that I have stayed in many different Wyndham hotels, it was a really unpleasant surprise. The check-in wasn't easy One of the rooms that was given to us was on a different level even though we had requested all rooms had to be on the same level. Not only that, it was much smaller than the other rooms, but we were still charged the same. On our floor, the ice vending machine was out of order. The carpets in most of the rooms was almost worn out and in certain areas the nails were poking out (safety hazard) I am not really sure, but the pool may have contributed to a couple of the kids in the family falling really sick. The only bright spot was the daytime front office lady who helped us check out - Kiran. Really nice and helpful. I sincerely hope that the Hotel Management takes this feedback and makes improvements. Just because the demand is sky high now, doesn't mean that the Customer Service quality drops.
I’ve been coming here for a while and every time I try a different hotel, I end up back here. I must say, the consistency of cleanliness is AMAZING! I have never had an issue with cleanliness, ever. And I’m PICKY! My room always feels crisp and fresh, lovely modern finishings, it must be a newer hotel. So many other great things too…. The front desk staff are always super accommodating…There’s a restaurant open for dinner until 10pm and breakfast until 10am…nothing fancy but hits the spot…small gym and pool and hot tub, airport shuttle…will continue coming here! Thanks everyone for always making my stay comfy:)
Stayed there very recently. Based my booking on the reviews. The reviews were very accurate. The rooms were very clean. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel did their best with the restrictions implemented by the current covid protocols of course.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to sleep and stay while in Calgary without sacrificing cleanliness and quality.
Do note, that it is near the airport area and not in the city itself so if you wanna venture into the city, best to have a vehicle with you. If you are just staying to catch a flight definitely an excellent option.
This place is the best place to complete your covid isolation. I think so so much that I came here twice! Unlike the other isolation hotels, you are able to pick your food. Also the front desk is just super cheerful and helpful. Colleen and Theresa are the best. You can also order skip the dishes and they bring it up pretty quickly.
Stay there two nights they didn't come clean our room the next day and also they charge me 50 dollars a night for our puppy first they told 25 a night our puppy is only 2 pounds and the people that work there the cleaning people don't even wear masks and very poor service
