During Yoga Nidra, I found myself drifting between wakefulness and dream. The practice encouraged a profound sense of detachment and perspective. I was floating in a space where time, tension, and everyday worries seemed irrelevant.
Emerging from this experience, I felt like I'd undergone a deep and restorative physical and mental rest.
The teacher was very welcoming, the room was inviting and warm and the yoga practice was a mix of challenging yet balanced with relaxation. I really enjoyed the class!
I went on a Sunday morning so parking was easy. I arrived a few minutes early and immediately liked the 'fee' of the studio. Everyone there was warm and welcoming, chatting softly to each other. There were change rooms, a place to fill a water bottle and a gratitude wall to read or contribute to! I took a Yin class with Crystal and she was awesome, just the right amount of talking/coaching. I will definitely be back!
Very welcoming and kind environment. There is a decent amount of space to put your things. Free tea available before and after class with a variety of flavours!
Always a lovely experience. I love the atmosphere of this building from the little details in the floor to the inspiration wall. The hot room keeps heat well and I enjoy the diversity of the teachers. Saturday at 10am is such a great reset.
Beautiful studio! The environment is very calming and large. However, the actual yoga space is quite narrow, so if you are closer to the back it is hard to see the instructor. I LOVED the class and felt amazing afterwards, the instructor was wonderful, but very chatty and I prefer a more calm instructor, but she was still very good. I will return, keep up the great work! Also, the studio was very clean!
I’ve had positive experiences from start to finish every time I attend a class at either Santosha location. Tremendous instructors each with their own style that creates unique experiences while one practices, welcoming aesthetically inspiring spaces and variety of classes means a happy loyalty to the Santosha family for my yoga services.
This studio is stunning and has a very welcoming energy to it. I took the therapeutics class and walked away feeling amazing! Plus, everyone I came across was super friendly, I can't wait to go back. I would definitely recommend trying out this beautiful space for your practice!
Great choices for classes and teachers, very nice change rooms and facilities, great locations. A great place to start out, or to continue your practice
I loved the quick tour at the beginning, very friendly, good-natured staff. Amy was awesome, I learned so much and she was super funny. She has an incredible ability to make the class feel inclusive, totally non-judgmental and inclusive of all skill and experience levels. Great experience, beautiful studio.
I appreciate that my instructors share their thoughts, stories or poetry during practice. This openness has enriched and personalized my yoga experience.
The space is nice. The teachers are some of the best and your pricing remains competitive for monthly fees with lots of perks for attending regularly and being a regular customer. It's a great spot.
Inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. Classes are diverse so everyone can participate. Strongly recommend to anyone wanting to begin yoga or maintain a healthy practice.
Class is really well laid out and many are a little on the spicier side, which I love. Staff clearly value the practice of yoga as what it’s meant to be and everyone else at Yoga Santosha have created a really welcoming space. My body is not perfect, but it feels as though it’s exactly where it’s meant to be when I’m on my mat, and yoga Santosha does a good job creating that energy for the people who practice there.
Yoga Santosha offers two gorgeous studios in central Calgary. I really appreciate the variety of classes they offer, ranging from yin classes to challenging flow classes. All the classes focus on breathing and the mental side of yoga which I really appreciate, since that is the side of yoga I need to work on the most! I would definitely recommend trying out either of their beautiful locations.
A beautiful space! To growth your inner wisdom and learn from the best teachers in town. Yoga Santosha is the perfect balance between beauty, professionalism and knowledge of yoga. Tuck in privately on the second floor with those big windows is so uplifting. This studio is a true refuge in the otherwise busy city.
The energy is always amazing around the studio and in class and the instructors offer a depth of knowledge in practice that I really appreciate. I have been practicing yoga (and teaching for a few years) since 2007 and the Kensington location has quickly become my favourite studio in many years! It has reignited my spark for a weekly yoga routine.
Beautiful space to practice yoga. The layout of the centre was certainly well thought out. The class I attended, Yin Yoga lead by Liz, was wonderful and I love that it was 1.5 hours long - I certainly appreciated that extra half hour. The atmosphere is wonderful and they have a little tea station where I was able to make a cup of tea after my class.
Now this is the only Yoga studio I've been too however my experience so far has been fantastic. Every instructor I've met has been warm, welcoming and very encouraging. The studio is extremely clean, spacious and has a great variety of classes for people of all experience to join. I plan to renew my membership after my one month intro expires. Thank you Yoga Santosha!
Tried this location for first time, after attending the Mission location off and on for many years. Lovely space, great class - would definitely recommend.
Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. A variety of classes available for all levels. Welcoming and knowledgeable teachers. Love that I can make a cup of tea after class and sit quietly in a beautiful area. Large change rooms and showers are great if you need to head out after class.
Clean, beautiful, respectfully quiet studio. The classes are guided very thoroughly and accurately. The heated classes are at a comfortable temperature (for my preference). Good for all levels of yoga practitioners. Hatha, in particular, is very suitable for anyone that is wanting to give yoga a try for the first time:)
This place is full of love, relax, freedom. If you need to get out from your stress day just go there, breath and discover new you. The lectors are fantastic. Thank you for your beautiful place and kind and prery faces
