You Need A BBQ

After recently moving I asked a friend his recommendation for a good BBQ store in the area. Very knowledgeable staff. Hands down 200% better than the last establishment I did business with. Isak is very knowledgeable and had a great conversation and learned some tips in the short time I was in the store. This is my new place for BBQ

There was a time I didn’t understand what a BBQ store was; then I came to You Need a BBQ. Seriously it is amazing to see all of the spices and pellets and BBQs and meats and classes and equipment! It is my go to for all things BBQ and any time I want to get my hubby a gift. They delivered our PitBoss Smoker BBQ combo unit and it’s the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Tried the Wagu beef, it was superb! It’s worth the drive to Sherwood Park to learn from the experts!

Attended their Introduction To Advanced BBQ Techniques class. All of the pit masters were very knowledgeable and very personable. They were able to answer any questions we had, very professionally and very informatively. Anyone who is looking to hone some BBQ skills should definitely think about taking this class. I will be looking into taking other classes here in the future. And the food they prepare for you during the class is fantastic! Well done!

Went in to see what bbq rubs they had, excellent customer service, nice selection. Will go back.

The staff are incapable of social distancing or respecting personal space. They stalk you around this tiny store and stand at the doorway of the little offices and repeatedly ask if you're buying anything. This place is very claustrophobic feeling. We were very uncomfortable because of the staff and we left. These products are available elsewhere.

Excellent service, very knowledgeable in products. I went in not really knowing why I wanted and the staff were able to explain very well the pros and cons of all the smokers I was looking at. Settled on a very good starter smoker, and when I left I had everything I needed to start using it straight away, without breaking the bank. Will be going back for all the spices and BBQ sauces as their selection is massive.

I Went into the store to buy Motley Que Sticky Fixx bbq sauce and was impressed with the large selection of bbq sauces and rubs. I will definitely go back!

I recently purchased a Louisiana Founders Series Grill, and I can't say enough about the positive experience I had here. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, from helping me choose the right product to meet my needs to helping me load the grill onto my truck. I highly recommend stopping by if you need a BBQ.

YOU NEED A BBQ hands down best customer service, super helpful, stayed late past 6 to answer questions and walk us through the grill. So much knowledge between Russel and his co workers. Great selection on rubs, sauces and grills. We walked away with two grills and couldn’t be happier.

I was at this location looking for a pellet smoker. The guy helping me was very well informed and they even had a promotion on so I could get a little bit of discount. I love the smaller businesses because you know they care rather than the big box ones. I drove all the way from Windermere to check this place out and you should too!

It’s the only place in Sherwood Park that I’ve been able to find Meat Church rub. The staff member I talked to was very knowledgeable and friendly. They’ve got a whole host of other spices and top notch bbq sauces. They sell Pit Boss products and look to be selling high quality meats in the future. Smaller shop and a little hidden away but a great experience and I’ll for sure be headed back for more spice rubs and sauces.
