Went there with my family & friends for a buffet, food was good. Really loved the ambiance of the restaurant.

What I read about this and what was it in reality, was totally opposite.
Not even a single reason to visit again.

Horrible food, it was surely not fresh food served. We took dinner buffet, and there wasnt good selection as how the usual buffets have, and the food tasted really bad and was not fresh. Almost no choice for veg starters.
It ruined our evening and definitely not worth $33 Per person, not coming back.
Please improve quality of your food

Very yummy, delicious food, love to be here especially for the buffet but the price is on higher side especially for the kids above 7 they charge adult buffet price.

Not sure what happened to Zaika. Went here for lunch recently and was disappointed with everything. The butter chicken was over cooked and flavourless, naan was undercooked, tandoori chicken was bland and even the chai was forgetful. The mens bathroom was smelly, dirty and desperately needs a makeover. The only positive thing was the service. Won’t be back here

It was great food. Kids loved it and ample choices when it comes to Vegetarian Buffet Menu.

Jerald at front end was super friendly and professional. The girl serving us was very polite and professional.

Great taste with amazing ambience and nice music is a mix match of of perfect family dinner. They haf enough options for salads, chaat, desserts and I am sure the options they had for non vegetarian buffet were ample. Requested the butter garlic naan and served freshly baked naan on the table as buffet was ran out of it.

Overall loved it.

Had the buffet and it was good. I find the curries a bit on the watery side but the flavour is still acceptable. Place is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly

Always great! The buffet has become a tradition for me and my mom. We love the fish pakora and I honestly think this place has the best naan in Edmonton. Nothing is too spicy but also they don’t water down the flavours. This chef knows what they’re doing.

So we came in here for dinner buffet. The buffet was not good at all. It literally seemed as if only left overs are served in buffet. The basmati rice were sticky. Very very limited options in buffet. And who puts matar in shahi paneer. Last time we came they had noodles, aloo tikki and what not in buffet! Utter disappointment!

Very good selection of food, many flavors to try! Personally I'm a big fan of the fish pakora!
Pretty good service, waitress did forget my drink, and wasn't around to refill waters foe the table for quite some time. Otherwise wonderful experience!

Update: 10/2/23 - Gone back recently, and EVERYTHING was on point! The food was delicious as always, they didn't have any fish pakora out, so we requested some. If you have not tried fish pakora you're absolutely missing out! Our waitress was around frequently, I could see the other service staff just as diligent with their tables. It was our Grandma's 77th birthday, they brought her out some ice cream with a candle and let us eat the cake our mom had bought for her as well (not from the restaurant). Will absolutely be back.

Went with work friends and ordered from menu and food was really good. Great service and ambiance. The owner came and checked up as well, which was a great touch.

I love Zaika! They are consistently good in all respects. Whether dining in or getting take out, the food has never disappointed. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The manager almost always checks in at the tables. And the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
I highly recommend the buffet! Great value!

I love their buffet, everything is so tasty and delicious. Service is perfect. It’s the best Indian restaurant in Edmonton ️

We stopped over for a quick weekday lunch buffet, and they didn’t disappoint. All vegetarian dishes were fresh and on the mark. Highly recommend!

Always clean, friendly staff, and excellent food. One of my go to spots in the south side.

I attended this restaurant on a slower night due to the weather conditions and it being a weeknight as I was in town for business. I opted for the dinner buffet.

The server and manager were incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They asked if I was able to wait a couple of minutes while they prepared fresh food, which I did.

Even though it was quiet, everything was incredibly fresh, delicious and high quality. I’ve had Indian buffets all over BC and Alberta. This one was the best. I cannot recommend them enough.

Contacted them for a catering order and never heard back from them after my initial inquiry. Seems really unprofessional not to even respond back to an email especially when you’re offering catering services. Seems like they pick and choose who to offer catering to based on bias.

At first I left a 5 star review but now I changed it to 1. Been calling for the past few weeks to book a reservation for Valentine’s Day as my wife and I go there every year. Left few messages with a Philippino staff that Picked up the phone for the owner to call me as I bought a cake for her and want to make arrangements. Called on Valentine’s Day he told me the owner is not available. I told him it shouldn’t take 3 weeks for a phone call back- and make arrangements somewhere else. Very poor customer service, don’t take care of their regulars, far cry of the restaurant it use to be.

Had been here previously and enjoyed it. This last visit, there was a private function that was INSANELY loud. Like, we could not hear ourselves talk. Amateur hour, close your restaurant if you're hosting something like this! Charged us full price for buffet for two small kids.like, ridiculous, after we put up with the noise level that we did. Also, service was terrible. Waited 20 minutes for the bill. Will never go back.

I visited this place on a week day with my family. The buffet was not really that great, May be it was not the weekend. I felt like the price is over priced for the menu that served. Quiet expensive when compared to the menu served. Cheap desert served to us, only some rotten pineapple l.

Some rhe Currys like. Daal curry, grilled chicken, mutton was not that tasty. Felt like they used some kind of spices or ready-made gravys. Experienced delay in services or delivering food. I couldn't feel the reap authentic Indian cuisine taste at this location.

Hope they will consider to improve authentic food to service everyone those who wants to enjoy the Indian or Asian foods.

Had a very bad experience at Zaika today. Ordered from the menu (panner tikka masala and baingan bartha with lacha paratha). The food was served cold and not properly made. When spoke with the waiter about the food he says Chef made it in a hurry as he also have to take care of the buffet. Really a bad experience. Won’t even give it 1 star. Don’t recommend.

I loved it. I could try different Indian foods as I had the buffet food. I liked the atmosphere and also the waitress was so helpful. The price was reasonable.butter chicken was so great but a bit spicy for me

Went for lunch here the other day and I've been coming here for years. I love the buffet and the staff is so friendly and sweet. In the morning its much more quiet which is nice. They have a variety of curry's and even a dessert buffet. Its a little on the pricier side so make sure you're hungry to get your moneys worth.

We are regulars here and the lunch buffet is a very reasonable $21.00, and the quality of the food is quite good. For a price to quality ratio it’s one of the better buffets in the city for sure.
