The workers were somewhat rude! No fitting rooms open. Total mess with clothes in the shop, and the hitting was all the way up! I love Zara, but this shop was like hell! Very disappointing!

Gaya gave me a really bad customer service experience. I asked for help to see if their was a shirt in my size. I asked her and she said “I don’t have to help you, why would I want to anyway. I’m the manager I can do what I want”. She said this even though I knew she wasn’t the manager. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Terrible experience don’t shop here

Wanted to exchange a shirt brand new with tags and receipt for another size was told I can’t because it was over 30 days. It was a Christmas gift. This policy is ridiculous considering it’s a gift so now what do I do with the shirt? Stupid policy

Purchased my son a shirt here. Have never been here before and probably won’t be back again. I have doubts over how long this shirt will last as most of the clothes felt a bit cheap.

The service was brutally slow. Stood in line for a long time waiting to pay. They had one cashier working.

They have a large collection with reasonable prices. Quality is pretty good, trendy, nice and cheap. It's usually pretty busy, long waits at the till

Not customer friendly at all.
I wanted to do a return. Line up at front apparently had a sign but was flipped so I ended up lining at the wrong line. After a couple of minutes wait, I was told I should lined up at the other line up which now has 4 more people.
Waited a couple more minutes and was told the line up for online order is at the back.

More directions at the store would be good so it’s clear for first time customers at the store like me.

I was wanting to try clothes on and 2 guys ha went in before me so the guy said I had to wait minutes later the 2 guys came so I'm thinking ok he's going to come on in instead he just kept on folding stuff and hanging things he even walk onto the sells floor didn't say I could go in or not he went back to folding and hanging till I asked ahhh can I go in now! Don't know his name but he's chubby and thinning hair on top! I hope you guys aren't on commission cause that was bad service even though I bought a Suit and Shirt

Less variety for men's. I found market mall has more options for men's.

Terrible customer service, no greeting (which is ok by me) and borderline rude checkout. Store is always unkempt and difficult to find anything. God forbid you need help finding a size or try to return anything. I’d rather drive further north and go to the market mall location.

I don't shop here often, but I have been told that the staff can be rude. I don't know about rude but the cashier at the back today was quite slow. She would talk to her coworkers a lot, she took a while talking to one costumer, who I believe she knows, and when it was my turn I had to wait a little bit and ask her if that was where I should pay before looking up. There wasn't much of a line but I had to wait 15 min

The staff and manager are not helped at all. I tried to return one item with a gift receipt but the didn't return at all because was passed 4 days from the 30 days policy. This was not clear in the receipt.

Very busy chaotic store. As a result difficult to ship long lineups and difficult for staff to keep organized with the volume sadly.

Be careful shopping at zara alot of their products are very low quality with a high price tag I bought a winter jacket that lasted just over one moth before ripping in multiple places out of nowhere. I've owned many jackets never as bad as the one I bought from zara

Went to try on some cardigans and the rude guy with bleached ashy grey/blond hair at the men’s fitting rooms was extremely rude. On more than one occasion. Silent judging and snarky remarks doesn’t look good on a sales associate. Also the change room shouldn’t take 15+ minutes to get a room when you were the first person in line.

I likely won’t return to Zara chinook, and will continue going to Zara Market mall as the staff is generally much more pleasant.

The one star is for the nice Filipino gentlemen who listened to our terrible experience with his manager Daphne. I was in the store with my mom trying on coats. Keep in mind there is no signage anywhere in the store or on mirrors saying that we weren't allowed to clothes on the sales floor. We were soon RUDELY approached by Daphne, telling us we were only allowed to try the coats on in the fitting room. My mother and I were apologetic and understanding. However, her attitude towards us was beyond disrespectful, as she grabbed the item we tried on right out of my moms hand. I work in retail and I have never experienced such a condescending, snarky, and belittling attitude towards a customer. Not once did she say "excuse me" or "sorry, you must try all clothing items including coats in the fitting rooms. " There were so many nicer ways to interact with us regarding this situation. This location needs some serious re-training in customer service. Its a joke. How can this company hire such an incompetent and rude manager.

The clothes and price point are awesome but based on the customer service experience at this store I would way rather shop online. Staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and barely give you the time of day. There's a huge, noticeable contrast in your experience from this store to the surrounding stores in the mall.

Recently in the store and was charged double for same product. I questioned whether charge had been entered twice and received a VERY snotty reply. As it turns out, yes, it did go through twice!
Dealing with customer service an absolute nightmare! Store (manager) level clueless. Had provided ALL information received by MC including exact time (s) both charges entered. The process has dragged on and on and now being told I must return to store to adjust. So archaic!
Having run a store previously myself, I know for a fact the adjustment could have been handled over the phone with the case # that has been provided me.
Absolutely ridiculous with no concern for further inconvenience to the customer being that it was THEIR error!
Staff needs a shake up!

I went to Zara after a shift working at the mall to try on some new jeans I saw online. As soon as I walked in it looked disgusting the whole place was a mess, yet they had so many employees? I didn’t understand how it could look this vulgar. I found the jeans I wanted but not my size, I paced looking for someone trying to make it obvious that I needed a size but every single worker walked past and glared. I went to the fitting room in hopes of getting a size there, and the lady working was completely ignoring me while I tried clothes on, not to mention was just being rude. Im seriously surprised this place hasn’t considered rehiring, so unimpressed and will not be return back to the Chinook location until changes are made.

Honestly, I usually don't care about customer service as I just go into a store, buy something, then leave. I had to pick up an online order today at the store because the items I wanted weren't in any stores. I go to the men's section which is where they always point me to go when I have an online order. My sister and I looked around for staff but 2 of them were in the back just talking to themselves. We see the cashier from kids come back to the men's and into the back room and as we approached her to ask about the order, she stares at us very weird. Then another male employee goes to the backroom and comes out so we tried approaching him and he completely walks past us and tries not to make eye contact. The cashier from the kid's section continues to walk back and forth between men's and kids and stares at us. We're staring at you because we need your help to pick up the online order. We're not staring at you for no reason? Instead of saying "hi how can I help you" or something they just stare.it took me 15mins to get a package.

Some clothing sizes are out of stock, jeans that I tried on had a complete broken zipper.workers should check the clothing's condition before putting it on the display, but it is still my fault for not checking before coming to the changing rooms, tried to look for another pair but there wasn't.

I have been a zara customer for years unfortunately I will not be visiting the Chinook location again after two different encounters with one of the managers Julia in both occasions she was extremely rude and unprofessional I was mistreated for being a regular customer something that should never happen.

Zara have good decent clothing at decent prices. I shop here almost everytime I'm at Chinook mall. Good store right by the entrance, quick in and out fast.

I understand that presently companies are having to deal with lots of rules and restrictions, however I do think common sense should prevail when implementing these rules. Case in point - I was at this store a couple of days ago and wanted to go into the changing room with my 9 year old daughter. We each had our purchases and wanted to try these on. The store staff informed me that my daughter and I would not be allowed to go into the same changing room. I asked the staff why and she replied that current rules were for one person per changing room. I asked how this rule applied in my case since my daughter and I live in the same house. I also informed the staff that my daughter was 9 years old and I was not comfortable leaving her by herself in a changing room. All the staff could say in reply was, that if she went against the rules, she could be fired. I think it is quite ridiculous for Zara to set up social distancing rules for the changing rooms that separate parents from their young kids.

I bought a regular price clothing and found out that when you remove their price tag, it was on sale of half the price.totally felt like I waste my money, definitely will share my bad experience and wouldn't recommend this store to other.

Called three times to inquire about refunds for pick up in store items and got three different stories. I confirmed with an employee that my order arrived at store and also received the email but when I arrived at the store I was told they do not have it and they couldn't do anything for me

First off I would say that I have shopped at Zara for the last 10 years at Chinook Centre. They opened a store in Market Mall, so last week I went in and purchased a blue corduroy shirt, that was on sale and it looked and fit great. I wore it to work the next day and unfortunately it opened up on the seam (The sewing machine didn't catch enough material). I called the store at Market Mall to see if they had another one. They did. I told him that I live 40 km away and couldn't make it in to exchange that day and asked if they could hold it till the next day for me to exchange. He said he would have to ask his manager. He came back and said that they would not hold it because it was a sale item. I asked to speak to the manager and she was adamant that they would not hold the shirt till I could get in the next day. I told her that I wasn't looking to buy the shirt, but to exchange a defective shirt that i had been sold. I then spoke to Kevin at the Chinook Centre store, who by the way was wonderful. He said that it was odd that they would help me out. He spoke to the manager and Market Mall and called me back promptly.they would hold the shirt to exchange, but I had to have the original receipt. Why would I need to keep a receipt for a shirt that fit me and I quite liked? I didn't have it. I didn't even make the drive in. I want to be clear. Its not that I struggle to pay for a $28 shirt. Quite the opposite. This, for me, is about me being loyal to a brand for well over a decade. I have never returned anything to this store. More than half the clothes that I wear to work in a week and out socially are from Zara. But in this case the brand did not reward me for my loyalty to them and maybe it's time to rethink that loyalty

Very disappointed to shop from this location. Market mall deserve to be better. Manager in Zara chinook location, please fix your pricing. You charged me with regular price but the item says on sale with red ticket price. Besides, your staff never smile to people.

My friend and i was so unhappy with customer service in this location. Especially when we met the manager name Daphne. After shopping and check the receipt they charge my item with the original price instead of sale price that was ticketed from the tag. When we brought back in and show them the item the tag price was cut not sure what happened inside the shop bag. So the manger said that was not on sale it was misticketed. But since i like the pants i ask if i can just take the sale price that was on the tag. She said unfortunately no because price tag was cut. It sounds like i made something wrong! I bring back all the item we are a little bit sad and disappointed! Please organized your item pricing ticket.

I bought 2 jackets from Zara on December 28,2019. The first one was on sale for 35$ and the second one was 49.5$. When I left the store I realized that they chanrged me for 125$ so I decided to go back to the store. The cashier called the store manager to solve the issue. When the store manager came she said the price was wrong and the items should not be on the shelf. When I asked her to matched the price she was very upset and wanted to call the security for me because she didn't want anyone in the store to realized how they stealing the money from their customers. The manager was from Russia and was very Rode when I told her that I will write a bad review on social media she said go ahead because I don't care about the review. So Zara stealing money from Calgarians with protection of security and the manager doesn't care about any bad review. Good job hiring manager as you hire people they don't care about your business and about anyone

You can always find something you don't need at Zara. The employees all visibly hate their jobs and there is something charming about that. You're always gonna have to wait in line at the fitting room and the till- it's the way it is. You also will probably have to elbow someone out of the way at some point. Zara is a shopping experience. It's not for the weak.
