We went in on a super dead day, it was only us and one more table. They didn’t seat us until we waved them over to and then they made us wait for an hour before taking our order. Currently been at the restaurant for over an hour and haven’t even received our food, while other people who came in after already have. Food may be okay but service is super bad and I would not recommend anyone to come and waste their time here. Not to mention you’ll get a lot of looks if you’re a different race.

The wonton soup at Asia Palace is a revelation - pure comfort in a bowl. Their Singapore noodles had just the right amount of kick, and the chicken chops were succulent and flavorful. With friendly service and a welcoming vibe, this spot on Pembina Hwy is a Winnipeg favorite for Chinese fare.

The service is very good. The restaurant space is large and clean. There are all children's dining chairs. It's my first time here and I feel good!

Asia Palace is our favourite Asian Restaurant since this place opened as Asia City. We come here often and everytime it doesn't disappoint. Food is always great, the serving are generous and staff are very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered pork and shrimp summer rolls and the shrimp was fishy tasting and the bean sprouts were old. It had dark spots that normally means they are old. The only thing that saved the meal was the bubble tea. It was good as expected.

First time attending a Chinese buffet party, and the food was so tasty and they have a big parking lot even if the restaurant is full, we still have space to park. Had some great moments with the waiters.

My rating is based on a buffet lunch party.
If I could give a rating of 0 I would.

Food - bland, cold and considering it was a "buffet" the dishes weren't refilled; resulting in guess not being fed.
Service - non existent
Atmosphere - FILTHY.

This is not my first party here but definitely my last; each time is worst then the last.

What I find puzzling is the 5 star reviews from some people with no comments Like your experience was so amazing but you don't have anything amazing to say about the food, service or atmosphere?

Horrible service here, had takeout and just left for a birthday and never experienced something like this. It’s kinda hard to mess up a buffet yet they still did, barely refilled the trays of food, and when they did it was towards the end when majority people finished eating. I understand when stuff happens because I’m a server myself, but the communication and staff was jus unacceptable. Also was charging us 6$ per container if we wanted to bring food home

Sloooooooowly! When I arrive at estimated time I always need to spend about half a hour for waiting every time!

The servers are so friendly and such a fast service, and the place ia clean and spotless. Highly recommend!

My family hosted a birthday party here for our grandmothers birthday. We were so looking forward to celebrating with all our family and distant relatives - instead we found ourselves both disappointed & embarrassed when Asia Palace failed to provide enough food to feed our guests.

This is extremely disappointing considering we came to this restaurant for an All You Can Eat meal.

If our final guest count ended up being more than we confirmed, we can understand running out of food. However, this wasn’t the case, and our guest count ended up being much less than we confirmed a week prior.

Running out of food as a result of poor planning is one thing - but the customer service we received (or lack thereof) was the final nail in the coffin. To be told that our “all you can eat buffet” wasn’t being refilled because they “didn’t want food to be wasted” is very difficult to understand considering our guests were still lining up for their first plates.

The combination of poor planning, awful & rude customer service and not even the smallest bit of compensation makes for a surefire way to ruin your own business and reputation.

I love this place so much. It is very nice food and big size. I like salt pepper shrimp and squid a lot and order every time. It is the best food in the city. For weekends call them first is better. Because always have party here.

There's a reason why this place is cheap! We ordered 7 dishes, along with a deluxe fried rice and the fried rice took TWO HOURS to show up at the table. The food was EXTREMELY SALTY (even by Chinese restaurant standards). We ordered five spice squid and could only taste salt - what were the other four spices? !? This place may as well have been self serve as anything we told a server had to be asked for MULTIPLE times. Our food took an HOUR and a HALF to get to the table when the restaurant was virtually empty. To talk about cleanliness, there were dirty dishes left at tables for an insane amount of time. My son refused to go to the bathroom as it was clearly unattended to for a long time and the dining room doesn't look like it's been wiped down/swept in days. I can ONLY IMAGINE what their kitchen looks like. We ordered five bubble teas and two of them tasted like sugar water and food coloring. The owner refused to compensate us at all. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. If I could rate this place 0 stars, trust me I WOULD! This is quite possibly the WORST restaurant in Winnipeg.

We ordered from skip a lot but this time wanted to enjoy the food hot and freshly made. One of the food options wasn't even on their tablet they placed orders on. That specific dish was not that great (poached pork) not only that but it came about 30 - 40 min after we were already done eating 4 of our other dishes we were so full that we packed it to go. Would have been nice if we were told it takes a very long time to make (we wouldn't have ordered it) we complained about our table being extremely wobbly and unstable we asked to move we were told we can't move to table x because it's for party of 10 + but they can clear another table which was only cleaned up after we already packed up that dish that came so late. Didn't really feel welcomed or respected maybe because we were foreigns and not like the overwhelming majority of thier clients but who knows maybe the whole establishment had something bad that ruined their mood each time before coming to us. We will stick to ordering to go because the food is great but the service is second to none.

Horrible service, after being seated they didn’t not come and ask for our orders for over twenty minutes, there was one couple in the restaurant so it wasn’t busy at all, the waitress was walking around the restaurant on her phone talking to someone. We ended up leaving before they took our order.
Went to this restaurant one time before and service was still not great, waitress was rude and rushed us to order, even after waiting a considerable amount of time for our order to be taken with no other customers in the restaurant.
The water they served there had debris of some sort floating in it as well.

Food is great, SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Waiters don't know the first thing about customer service. Takes forever to get them to assist you even though restaurant was almost empty. Our table was very wobbly and they declined our request to move to a different table as they said "these tables are only for 8-10 people", while 3 of those large tables were open and not reserved (we didn't see anyone arrive at those tables the entire time we were there). Waitress said she will clean one of the smaller tables beside us so we can move, took her half an hour to do it, so we never got a chance to move to a normal table.
We asked for water to drink, the water is DISGUSTING and the cups were dirty.
NASTY WASHROOM. It seems like they haven't cleaned the washroom in years, when you enter the washroom to wash your hands you lose all appetite and only want to puke. Seems like customers have been complaining about how nasty the washroom is for years, and the staff don't do anything about it.
One of our dishes arrived at the table an hour after we ordered it, right when we were already full from the other dishes and ready to leave. They did not apologize or anything.
The restaurant owners should be ashamed of themselves for running such an establishment.

Wow, amazing tasty and feels right.

Ridiculous delivery time.i Ordered party tray for 12: 30pm but the food arrived at 2pm. Never again!

Really great tasting Asian food, soups are huge portions and all the food is reasonably priced. Service is very good. If in large party gratuity is included so check your bill if paying separately.

This visit all the above hold true but service was not very good as the waiter was brand new and tried his best. They were out of quite a few of the selections we were asking for. All said I will go again.

Unprofessional restaurant staff was supposed to get my order by 2: 55 but waited till 3: 20 for my order

I had their beef short ribs on black pepper, which didn't disappoint. It was tasty, a decent size serving, on a hot plate, and for a fair price. The Jasmine tea was also good.

Too salty. Extremely salty. Ordered Lo mein that is soaked in tons of salt. I ate small plate and threw out the rest.

Will never order from there again.

Advertised as a buffet but it really isn't i had a baby shower there and most of the food ran out drinks ran out and even the clean plates ran out i don't recommend this place at all specially when you're thinking about celebrating a special occasion really bad customer service too

A great lunch will make your day pretty! They always make me surprised from every orders. I have tried almost every dish, not all of them were to my liking, but most of them were. Highly recommended!

Food is good. I am most partial to the Pad Thai, Pho & Bubble Tea. One thing that was lacking was the green curry dishes. The curry flavour is not strong enough and not spicy enough. The service has always been great. Whether it is lunch, dinner or snack Asia Palace is a great option.

We made a reservation beforehand for dine-in and they accepted it. But when we arrive their, they did not allow us to place the order.it was a truly racist act by the receptionist. I will never go to this place.

Never come back again! I had pick-up order yesterday, they said it would be ready around 8: 20, so I was there on time, and I saw five people were waiting. One skip dish driver said he had waiting almost 25 mins, which was ridiculous. And then they gave me the wrong order, I came back ask for mine.and I had to wait another 20 mins, and the food was too much spicy can barely ate, waste my time and my food.

Tables were very close together.next table over had to move so that I could get to my chair. Food was good!

Good food but wait times in front of restaurant are HORRENDOUS. Takes a while just to pick up food that’s ready to go (not a delivery driver by the way. It’s worse for those guys).

We order from Asia Palace often, and so far we’ve yet to be disappointed. Great food and friendly staff! Many different menu items to choose from as well.

They can improve the quality of their food especially the V15 rice.it is not always consistent, sometimes its mashy, sometimes it is not!
Overall, it's ok!

I like this restaurant, but I can not visit here anymore. This is because I believe I've got racism this morning.
I was been there to dine in with my wife this morning.
After being checked the Vaccination card and ID, I was disrupted by the waiter since he want to go to the seat with him. When he came to get an order, he told me that "You are rude". I asked him what makes him think like that.
He mentioned I have to follow the COVID 19 rule here in Canada and here is not Korea. This comment driving me crazy since I can't find any relation with the COVID 19 rule what he mentioned, and why it's a rule. Of course, there's some other speaking between myself and him, but I believe this was obvious racism. I am so sorry I cannot taste the delicious food from the Asia Palace anymore.

Got food that wasn't good at all and no where did it say it had mushrooms in it and it was cold but the bubble tea is good

Had a great time here! Bubble tea and Spicy Chinese food is fantastic! This will be one of my favorite restaurants in WPG!

Don't go here unless you want subpar food at twice the wait time with poor customer service. Ordered 2 simple dishes for take out lunch, was told 25 minute wait. After waiting 25 minutes, was told by the owner he would bring food outside as i had children in the car. The delay was attributed to the only table of 2 in the dining room. After 1 hour from placing the order, a server waived me in to get my food. Awful customer service. Will not be returning. The food was much too salty with very little protein

L Arrived for a long time and forgot some meals, it was very spicy and the noodles were too dry.

Ordered Kungpao chicken and received a container of mixed vegetables stir fry with a miniscule amount of chicken in it. Very disappointed!

I went in to order bubble tea. Ordered two standard bubble teas. Another couple came after me. They took about 5 minutes to decide to order. We're all sitting for about 15 minutes. They get their massive food order and 4 bubble teas. Then I ask where mine was and they say oh yes you'll be another 5 minutes. Poor and slow service. Used to go to Asia city and it would take a few min. Not sure what happened, but now would NOT RECOMMEND

My first and my last order here. My order took almost 3 hrs to deliver. I know it was Mother's day, and first day having another strict lockdown, but 3 hrs though. Even the Skip driver waited for 30 minutes too.

Reasonable price, so much better than other Chinese restaurant, always order from there, always busy, waiting time around 40-55 min, but worth waiting. 10/10:)

I would like to give the workers from Asia Palace a huge round of applause! They accommodated and delivered quite a huge order for my son’s first birthday. They updated me every single time which was reassuring. They went above and beyond. The food was amazing and the staff were very sweet and friendly. I will be ordering again. Highly recommended

If i could give 0 i would, no taste, greasy food and just plain out disgusted! Me and my daughter just paid the bill and left without eating anything! Wouldn’t recommend it

Food is mediocre, probably wouldnt order from here again. Crab rangoon wasnt very good, wrong sauce for it also. The pad thai wasnt very flavorful. The sweet and sour pork was ok. Similar to what youd get in the mall food court. Presentation was nice.

Smooth booking for our baby's baptism. Very delicious menu. Venue had plenty of spots for 70 guests. Thank you asia palace!

Would give 0 stars but not possible. Attended a birthday party for my nephew and there was feces and urine on the floor and walls of washroom. Took my nephew to car to change him as the washroom was extremely unsanitary. Disgusting.

Honestly if I could put a zero star I would. I didn't realize it was new ownership and can see the difference!
My lady and I haven't been here for a long time and so today we thought we'd step in. We ordered veggie spring rolls, wonton soup to share and two bubble teas: Avocado and a strawberry coconut.
The Spring rolls were tiny, the size of your thumb, barely any filling at all it was mainly wrapper! The bubble teas were horrible,
The wonton soup, wow, the "broth" was bad, little pools of fat skimming on top, 6 measily shriveled wontons, and garnished with shredded salad and raw red onion!
Should of gone elsewhere, never coming here again.

We had a party there and rented out the whole restaurant. Staff were super helpful and accommodating especially with my special requests! Highly recommend!

Had my wedding reception here today.it was a very good experience.food was very good and will always come back for it.people are very friendly doesnt matter how busy they are.unlike other restaurants that has cranky servers.

Went here 2x this last week for dinner and the food and service was really great (both times). I really enjoyed the seafood and vegetable rice noodle dish, the beef and broccoli, and the chicken with cashews. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the great service!

Food is good.if you ever get any.not only is the customer service bad, it's virtually non existent. I got sat, waited to order for over 10 minutes.meanwhile the same server sat 2 other tables and took their orders, all while walking past my table multiple times. I left and went to another restaurant.doubt they noticed.never going back again.

Worst restaurant I've been to in Winnipeg! Unless you like to have "dog food" for you meal, DON'T waste your hard earned money here! Simply very bad food, 1 out of 5 stars.

My wife and I kept coming back because we love the food and plus it’s close to home, but never coming back. Asia City/Palace on Pembina must have one of the WORSE customer service we have ever experienced.

Happening on multiple occasions where my wife and 2-year-old were seated on not-so-busy days… and that’s it. Weren’t given water or asked what we’d like to drink. This happened NOT JUST ONCE, OR TWICE, BUT THREE TIMES! THREE TIMES! And all three separate occasions we’ve waited at least 10 minutes before storming out of the restaurant. I get it if the place was busy with multiple tables to be looked after, but all three times it was just my family and 1 or 2 other tables.

Another occasion where we drop in to order bubble tea, waited about 15-20 minutes for absolutely nothing. Asked the woman at the desk where our order was and tells us they’re “still making it”. Guy comes in after us, orders, and gets his bubble tea before we do. Immediately demanded a refund.

Again, the worse service we’ve ever experienced.

Drive a few more minutes and enjoy better service at TH Dangs or Sun Fortune both on Pembina. Or newly opened bubble tea places near by. Avoid this place unless you want to experience horrible service.

Great food at a great price! The general chicken and beef pho are a must try! The service is good and food comes out fairly quickly. Make sure to call ahead on weekends as they have frequent party's booked.

The weekday lunch specials (11: 00am to 2: 00pm) at $6.95 are a great value.

Worst service ever (location on pembina)! I ordered bubble tea for pick up they said it'd be ready in 15 minutes and took them half an hour to make. A lady walked in the restaurant and ordered bubble tea as I waited for mine and she got hers first. AND when I got the bubble tea. IT WAS WATERED down and chunks of ice at the bottle of the cups.

I waited for about 30 minutes for ONE BUBLE TEA! They didn't even punch it in to the system until I walked up to the front desk to ask. You would think that the server would have remembered the order (again for ONE. BUBBLE. TEA.) once they realized i've been waiting for a while. And to add, the restaurant wasn't even busy; only a couple of tables were eating there! Unfortunately, there isn't a rating option below zero otherwise I wouldn't be so generous with rating it 1 star.

EDIT: Just got home and had some of the bubble tea. I'm pretty sure I ordered the 'Green tea' flavour.not 'Broccoli'.

The staff looks like they don't like working there at all. All of them are wearing this dismayed and irritated faces while doing their job.

Except for that one lady and that one guy who smiles while serving/doing their job (these stars are for you lol)
