They are completely unprofessional, we submitted our application before 10 days and when we call them 5 times they respond that its rented. Had submitted all our Important documents of banking, passport and employee details, they don't even bother to inform applicants that your application is not selected. Horrible management, I request not to apply here.

And today they deleted my account, after I talk to site manager for my application status and dropped her messages for their unprofessionalism. Really horrible, such unprofessional property dealing companies should be banned and licensed should be canceled so people don't waste their time and share their important documents and information.

Posting this review on behalf of a very close friend who just went to hell and back with this poor excuse of a property management company.

Friend finds a listing for a 'luxury townhome' (single garage at the bottom, 2 floors above) in Bridgewater. Contacts them and is taken to a *show home* (this is a key piece of info). Show home was in great condition, so friend agrees to apply. Everything goes well with this process and they are approved. During this time they are told that they will be provided with the best unit that is only 4 years old.

Move in day rolls around and they are finally taken to the actual unit they will be moving into, only to find extensive damages throughout. To name a few: multiple spots of water damage in a few rooms in the ceiling, a towel rack snapped off the wall, dents and dings absolutely everywhere, vinyl floor peeling up and 2" gaps between planks in various areas. They take over 200 pictures of all the inconsistencies and state they will not move in until these issues are corrected. Ultimately they decide that this company is not trust worthy and pull out altogether. What is to say if they did move in these repairs would be completed? And better yet, who can assure that they be not be blamed on move out that these damages were caused them and their damage deposit kept? Unlikely.

After lots of back and forth with many arrogant levels of management, Astroid eventually agrees to refund the first months rent and damage deposit but not the $800+ security deposit. A security deposit to secure a place they weren't even shown until move in day and was in essence, trashed.

Eventually after weeks and threats of being taken to the tenancies board, the security deposit is refunded and they can finally put all of this behind them. Do not rent from this company. They clearly want top dollar for lack luster 'luxury' accommodation, who ever conducts their repairs and renovations needs to be fired and ALWAYS ask to view the actual apartment you will be moved into before you sign all agreements (this is a requirement from the tenancies board), to avoid the bait and switch on move in day and potentially leaving you homeless!

I paid rent on time for 3 years. When I moved out, it's been more than 4 months, but I still have not received my deposit back. Unable to get hold of anyone at the office and landlord is telling me to keep trying and wasting my time.

They won’t give u receipt for the rent you paid to them and charge 10 more just to get rental record

Not to many good things to state except the landlord is nice and understanding. Here is a list of facts that only deserves one star:
Constant bug problem. Astroid doesn't treat it as a priority. Not the landlords fault, just not given the resources.
Appliances, kitchen counter and kitchen cupboards long outdated.
No electrical ground plugs.
Cannot control the heat, it's either on or off.
Laundry room is like a dungeon. Lockers are mostly broken or easy to break into. Lots of break ins.
Mail boxes are 50+ years old and outdated.
Constant garbage around the building.
Rent is to high for low end residence.
Having said all that.avoid at all cost.

When we came to see the apartment everything was perfect.we are not complain for the caretaker. The problem is in the building that we live they smoke INSIDE THE APARTMENT WHICH IN THE CONTRAT SAID NO SMOKE. WE ARE NOT SMOKE PERSON.
But the caretaker or you management give us.we live in the middle and THIS situation is BAD because I'm a mother who stays at home every day.we live in 1630 main St.

They would get no stars if I could. As long as they continue to use a scam company like rentmoola to force us to pay the rent with extra fees from this absolute sham of a company. I will keep this low review as long as they deal with rentmoola.

I've lived in 2 different apartments of Astroid Management. The first one evicted me ex and I because we asked for 2 weeks off from caretaking duties so I could be with her for the birth of our daughter. The second time, every time there is an issue (noisy neighbors or something needs fixing) the caretaker just threatens eviction instead of actually doing his job. If I could give them a 0 I would. Never live in an apartment run by these worthless people. They don't care for their tenants. Even during this pandemic they threaten eviction. Pathetic.

Windows froze shut during winter, no vent in kitchen aka couldnt cook in the winter, mold on all window sills, molded shower grout broken toilet seat, refused to fix any issues in the unit
tenants smoked in all common areas, constantly entered our unit with less than 24 hours notice, caretaker constantly spread everyone's personal business to other Tennant's like she was in highschool. Most unprofessional experience of my life

I don't know the staff. But I think they overcharge for units that don't have hood vents or air conditioning. 900/$ a month for 600 square feet is absolutely ridiculous.
I don't know the building code but I'm actually pretty sure that what they are doing is illegal.
A safety inspection could shut er down

The caretaker didn't advise us how to prepare the apartment for the pest control and we had no idea as it was our first time. The following day we received a note that they are charging us $100 for not putting our stuff away. I told the caretaker that he didnt give us any instructions and he said to not worry about it and he will take care of it.

Our moving out day came and left the apartment spotless yet we didn't receive our full damage deposit. They deducted the $100 and even I fought for it, the caretaker kept flipping the story! The chick who's in charge of the damage deposit returns is horrible. Series of follow ups, messages but didn't return any calls. She kept saying that she will talk to the caretaker but took weeks to actually get an answer.

Bottom line, they still didn't return my money back even if it's their caretaker's fault. Oh btw, reported to Edward (caretaker) as well about the socket that stopped working in the kitchen, follow up twice or thrice, nothing. My husband ended up fixing it, so you're welcome! I wish Bryan was still the caretaker on that apartment, never had problem with him in 2 years and he was very helpful.

Enquired about the rental of a listed unit. The first 30 seconds of the conversation I had with the person that answered the phone was enough to turn me off of this company.

Absolutely brutal customer service. I typically write positive reviews only but I’m making an exception because of how rude the person was to me about basic questions I had.

Be careful of these backstabbers! The caretaker Greg kept praising me on my last day at the apartment of the cleanliness. And later I got charged $80 for carpet cleaning. Not once this guy told me about this charge. I empty the apartment 3 days before and the caretaker was very happy about it. When I called the management they told me Greg should have informed me and on their return call they state Greg said he informed me. This guy didn't tell me once about these charges. Now the management says it is what it is and they have to charge.

I'm reading some of these negative comments and.lol.no professional company keeps damage deposits unless you owe them money or damage the suite. If theres a leak in the ceiling? It's a plumbing issue and the contractors always take care of things like this asap. Its common sense. Rude staff? Not likely unless you were a jerk big time. The staff there are awesome.

Renting with astroid for over 4 years. No problems at all. The caretaker at my building (Barry) goes above and beyond for the tenants. The people I have talked to at the head office were also reasonable and competent.

1080 Andrews, Landlord is a b*tch, we went to view the suite and she was talking bad about all the tenants. I know so much about the tenants that live there that I’d rather not live there then. Lol what a breach of confidentiality. She told us theres one couple who cries to her to move to a one bedroom suite cause they cant afford the 2 bedroom and even pointed the couple out to me.she also is very nosy and if I were the tenants who were renting the suites there I’d be careful she does viewings to random suites of the apartments when she never gave 24 hour notice or notice whatsoever. What the hell lol forgot her name but that doesn’t matter shes filipino

Horrible company, expects a damage deposit when applying for a unit and upon not taking the apartment, they kept the deposit. Which I'm pretty sure is illegal considering no contract was signed and I didn't reside at the unit. I was planning on moving from Ontario and 400$ being stolen has sadly put a huge damper on it. I wanted to apply for a few places in the area and decide on the best one I was approved for. I will be fine financially but it's those that live paycheck to paycheck that would take a huge loss from this. If you are lower income or under any financial strain I reccomend staying as far away from this company as possible. No regard for anyone but themself, extremely rude staff that hang up on you when you're just trying to get back what is rightfully yours. Disgusting. And I doubt I'll see a response judging by all the other reviews. Cannot stress enough to stay the f away from here!

Not recommended at ALL.
After being with them for almost 3 years with all rents being paid on time there was one time that there wasn’t sufficient fund in my account and I realized it on the second day which happen to be weekend. I immediately transfered fund to my account. I called them first thing in the Morning on Monday to ensure i am not charged more than I should. I was told person responsible for account recieavable is not in yet. I was advised to call back at 10 am. I called back again and that person was not there so I was advised to leave a voice msg. I left a detailed voice msg so they reach me ASAP. Unbelievable! Not that no one ever called back! Care taker slide a letter under our door which was essentially an email apparently sent from the account recievable person at 4: 23! Saying we have not paid our rent!
And yeah guess what charged us for this day!

Not recommended at all. I’d rather sleep in car than renting a suite from this company. I forgot to put enough balance in my account for the rent and after I realized it on the next day, I transferred enough balance to my account for the rent and the late fee penalty.
I called them on the same day to ask them what should I do and the person responsible for my case wasn’t there. So I called them later and again the person wasn’t there so i left a voice mail for them to contact me. And they didn’t call me back so I had to pay for the late fee penalty for that day as well.

Do not rent from these people they are awful. I recently applied for an apartment through them a few weeks ago and was not approved even though I have worked at my job for a long time and have excellent rental references. Although I didn’t get the place they still cashed my security deposit and they haven’t returned my money to me. I am a single mother currently on mat leave, and my lease is up in a few short weeks and that money could go towards finding another place but they won’t give it back. They have screwed me over completely. I can handle not getting the place but give me my money back. I’ve left several messages and have yet to get a single response. They never should have even taken the money out of my account in the first place if they weren’t going to accept me. They are completely unprofessional.

I find that with out pay, we are always late which make me a bit ruffled cuz of late fees, however i have NEVER had any other problem and if i did, the staff as always accommodating.not only that but the receptionist is always so cheery and remembers me that my anxiety is rarely an issue with them.flexible pay dates would be the only thing i recommend to improve, either then that there smiles and freely communication with me make me feel welcomed.keep up the good work, nearly a 5 star from me

If I could leave less than one star I would. I moved out July 31, walkthrough was done on the same day. They waited a full 2 weeks to process my damage deposit, which I still haven't received.

I spoke to the property manager at 375 River on August 21, she said to wait until Friday. How is it possible that local mail takes more than a week to receive? I spoke to her again today and asked her to process it because I never received it. She told me it would take a couple days to process a new cheque but that she would wait until Wednesday even though I asked her to process it today. She refused to do so, telling me I needed to call her again on Wednesday. This is absolutely ridiculous, management does not care at all about their tenants and taking care of the multiple issues that arise as a result of their poor management.

It's been nearly a full month since I moved out and I still haven't received my deposit cheque back. On top of that, the building I lived in was moldy and not taken care of at all.

The day of the move they had painters outside that were consistently in the way of the movers. This made it take way longer than it should have as they would often have to wait for the painters to get out of the way. It took them over 3 hours to load and only about 1 hour to unload at the new place.

Customer service is terrible. A woman I know was also treated very poorly by their reception when she went in. Overall a terrible experience.
