Amazing place, especially the barber Wilson. Before this, I had been to 4 barbershops, but no one could do my hair the way I expected. But this guy gave me such a high-quality haircut that even exceeded my expectations. Furthermore he improving my mood with bunch of jokes and conversation. Strongly recommend

I went here & got a haircut from Lisa G. She was so sweet the whole time, made me feel very comfortable and made the experience fun. I told her my goals for my hair and and she really listened, told me what needed to be done and made sure we were on the same page at all times.
My hair has grown out so nicely and I see her vision now. Will be coming back next time!

The lady totally didn't cut as I wanted hardly did anything.very disappointed. And if I didn't sound to rude I would have offered her a mint. Her smokers breath was unbearable.

I have never had a hairdresser make me cry before even starting before. I brought in a few pictures for inspiration and was told that I cannot do that with my hair. I wanted to match my brown hair and add caramel to frame the face. When I asked what she suggests I do, she snapped and told me to make a decision and kept interrupting me whenever I tried to ask a question. I was ready to walk out but then all of a sudden there was dye on my hair. She definitely saw me shed a tear in her chair. She dyed my hair basically black with yellow blonde very bluntly around the face. Then ended up being double the price with no heads up. She was rough with my hair and head and kept hitting my head with the blow dryer. Cried the whole way home.not okay

I went in to get my hair cut from a hairstylist by the name of Vera, and I had wanted my hair cut to just above my shoulders. She started off by asking me how I wanted my hair, and I was having some difficulties explaining what I wanted, so she took a piece of my hair and cut it so I could visually see it (she did cut my hair to the perfect length, but I highly doubt this is what you should do when trying to ask your client what hair length they want.) Afterwards, she asked me if I wanted layers, to which I replied with "I don't think so, my previous hairstylist did layers and it looks good, so I think I'm okay without them. " She ended up giving me "layers" anyways, by chopping my hair wherever she wanted. I unfortunately did not realize how my hair looked before getting home (as I trusted what she was doing), which is when I actually noticed and I went back to the salon the next day (see photos attached for examples.)

When I spoke to the hairdresser and her manager, she had tried claiming afterwards that "it's what I wanted", which it most definitely was not, but I at least got my money back. I will not be coming back here again. I don't like leaving negative reviews of places, but this was ridiculous.

Crissy is the best there is such a professional never a bad cut and does great beard trims also. Also love how they have a treat for my kid after his cut also.

The are sneaking n very expensive! Took my 7yr old in to get a trim and 2 front strands colored blue. Hairdresser said she was giving us the tube of blue color I thought oh wow thats awesome thks. Hair dresser asked my 7yr old if she wanted her hair curled or straightened without me knowing. We get to the till and it's 84 dollars.r u kidding me? They had few excuses.hairdresser is a senior stylist, another excuse was she charges by the hour, they go over the pricing 12.95 for the tube of color.oh I'm getting charged thought it was given to us. I tell them to take it off I don't want it! They tell me I HAVE TO BUY IT because they opened it for us. I told them they should of said that from the beginning. On reciept it says color cut n style and a 2 dollar fee for who knows what. My daughter has had her hair colored before and we have never ever paid more then 55 dollars. She also had her hair bleached before the hairdresser applied the color and at Aura they didn't do this. My daughter woke up this morning n she has blue on her side of face n doesn't wanna go to school. When I think about it i should of bought the color and did her hair myself! 84 dollars is ridiculous especially for a child. I will never ever go here again and ill make sure everyone knows how sneaky n crazy their prices r.

Update: spoke with manager he said I asked for a service n they provided a service. Little bit of disagreeing with eachother and at the end he offered to reapply the blue when it starts fading and they would do an updo for my daughters Christmas concer all for free. I suggested that going forward they should be more upfront with pricing and i agreed to take the free updo. He's right i did ask for a service n they provied it at least I know now how costly they r.

DO NOT go here if your needing your hair done for weddings, or any event like that. Once they find out they charge you extra. Not only that they always have new ppl and nobody there is professional. I had asked for my hair to be fixed or a discount and they wouldnt do that after spending 175$. Not a great place to go and ive been going for yrs.

Worst experience ever went for eyebrows wax and removed my skin as well when I said never went through this experience and they gave me discount on it and what about the marks left on my skin. Never recommend for the service here. Very disappointed with it.

I had terrible experience with my brows, Chrissy did it, i dont even know if they told me right name, she took almostmy eyebrow off from one side and wasnt even apologised. Said didnt even touched it. Terrible salon experience and had to pay full.for chopping my brows wow. Have a really bad month girl.

Haven't been in to get a cut at Aura for a while, but Stewart gave me the best haircut I think I've ever had. Of course my hair being on the difficult side tacit with awkward swirls and weird grain, this was no small feat.

We always walk away happy with our hair. As we live in rural Manitoba, we go in for 3 cuts at the same time. Myself, my wife and our curly red headed granddaughter enjoy the staff and styling.

Went to get my hair platinum blonde / silver but compromised to not use bleach because my hair is already very blonde. Spent what felt like countless hours for what turned out to be a dull muddy orange tinted brown head of hair. Worst colour I could have ever imagined and was way darker than my hair before. On the plus side, it made me appreciate how beautiful my natural hair colour was before it was dyed. All in all terrible service. Never returning. Don’t waste your time or money here. Please hairdressers: If you know the outcome will look NOTHING like the picture just say you can’t do it.

Very friendly staff! I bought a GC for my wife for Christmas and accidentally lost it. They were able to cancel the old one and issue my new card with the same promotion I received before Xmas!

The lady I had couldn’t speak English and couldn’t even read the blade number and she kept unplugging every power tool she used and the end product looked nothing like the picture I’m never going back!

Do not get any hair colouring or lightening by chantal. Completely ruined my hair. I asked for a balayage and came out with unblended chunky yellow highlights. She should not be allowed to do balayages on any clients.

Rheanna is absolutely awesome! I love what she can do. Everytime I leave I am happy. Excellent service!

Beware of making an appointment with GRACE. She will drop you 20 minutes before your appointment for a "more prestigious client", whatever that means.no phone call, no heads up, just walked in and someone else had my appointment because GRACE felt this individual was more important. Will not be back.

Very good price and very good service. Hair stylist Vira and front reception Samantha always makes my experience feel stress free and makes me feel like I am part of their family. Highly recommend it.

I got highlights done i paid 200$ for afew blond chunks there was literally no hair dyed in the back. So i go back and get more highlights just have my hair fried to a crisp and the stylist was so rude yelling in my face. Very unprofessional and im not happy i gotta go pay someone else to to treatment on my hair

WORST EXPERIENCE!
I waited for my appointment, the girl ripped my skin. When I asked why it was burning she said that's normal for tingling. Room was filthy, wax on the floor, ceiling looks nasty.
Came 2-3 weeks ago. Won't be coming back.

Had lots of good people looking after me and my hair.

ABSOLUTE FILTH! Went in on the weekend for eyebrow waxing. Got a girl named Melissa. She burnt my skin, my eyebrows are super uneven. Not to mention the room had wax on the floor, she double dipped the wax stick! NEVER COMING BACK SUPER DISAPPOINTED

Got my hair cut at Aura, didn't clean up on my neck below the collar " long hairs visable", didnt even out the back of my neck, it was angled, dark hair spots all over my head due to lack of proper shaving technique with a number 1 & 2 clip. Can I not give no stars.

I went in Tuesday to get a bob hair cut showed a couple pictures of what I was wanting for a hair cut to the girl who was going to be cutting my hair. Half way through cutting it she indicated she doesnt do bob cuts. At the point I should of got up and left. She kept asking if this was what I wanted and if I wanted it shorter. I kept saying what I wanted but ended up with not the type of style I wanted or had shown in pictures. After sitting for over an hour I would of at least excepted a cut I would of been happy with. I went home and noticed the cut is uneven in the back and isn’t straight, I have uneven sides in the front as they are different lengths as well I have parts that are longer in spots than others so makes it all uneven and not a great cut. I now had to phone another salon to make another appointment so that they would be able to cut and restyle my hair to the bob haircut I wanted in the first place! Very dissatisfied and won’t be coming back again! I let my family and friends know about this experience as well

Worst experinence I have ever had. The Stylist didn't use a smock to wash my hair. I was getting wet and had to request one. She got angry with me. I had asked for a shorter in the front hair cut and I ended up with a hair cut that looks like some used a bowl to cut my hair. It is not styled. I did ask her to feather it and again style it she got upset and told my it was her job to know what was to be done. I paid 48 for a horrible experience and I was treated with disrespect. DO NOT GO THERE! This is where the beauty school drop outs end up.

After 20 years of being a customer I will not go back. I have seen many come and go even a few awesome stylists I had. I went in on April 13 my regular stylists were gone one left other on mat leave upon making my apt I asked who is good at doing bobs and a 2 colour dye described what I wanted. I was recommended one. I also asked the price I was told similar to my regular hairdresser I budgeted $150. As my hair ain’t long I never had paid more then $130 I get my hair done few times a year. Upon coming in I showed the hairdresser a picture of what I wanted she said ok! When the bleach was put in my neck burned a bit so a towel was put on. After colour was put on and the cut was coming I noticed very little was cut, I was asked if I wear my hair up I said no. I like the shorter bob as it’s easy to do. After i was styled I noticed it longer asked was told with purple on back looks good. Way she styled it it looked ok. Upon paying I was shocked it was over $200 paid went on my way as I don’t like to get in a confrontation. I was upset it was well over what I was quoted. Upon coming home my hair felt odd at the back I felt it the purple was not properly washed out so I had to wash it as colour was left in not properly washed.my neck was burning as well where bleach was I couldn’t see because I was stained so bad from the dye my entire neck and ears were a dark purple. Next day my hair looked like it did when I walked in not the bob I asked and paid for.

I ended up going to another salon today to get my hair re-done, they found a chemical burn on my neck as the purple finally wore off, caused by the bleach that was put on me. After going to see a doctor right after it was confirmed bad reaction due to bleach being left on my skin i was prescribed medicated cream to heal it. Not amused.

Now I know why my neck has been itchy and sore since going. The New salon I went to also noticed colour was inconsistent making it hard to fix the cut which was just a thin out I didn’t ask for. Nothing like the pictures I showed and asked for. Definitely not worth $200. I will never go back stick to my new salon as they Managed to fix it I got the bob I wanted. I need to go in again get colour re done so it’s even and consistent. Half price.

I also asked for a receipt of what was done I was told it was in the bag upon coming home only debit receipt was in there the one a saw in the girls hand was not put in there. I’m now wondering if reason I didn’t get a hair cut or print out of services receipt because they knew what they didn’t do, my hair covered the burn and excessive dye stain, and knew I would complain.

I got charged for a haircut that didn’t happen
I got charged for extra colour that was already in the price
I got a burn to my neck due to bleach/dye being left on my skin and not properly washed off
I had to pay for medical treatment as a result and another salon to cut and fix my hair

Really sad when you Spend this kind of cash people don’t notice you been to a salon think you dyed your own hair.

I’m always sceptical about trying new salons but after being screwed over last minute for an appointment by my usual salon, Aura squeezed me in right away. I got satisfactory results and I will definitely be taking my business here for every hair appointment I need!

I used to go here years ago and recently took my 11 year old son for a haircut. Now I remember why I no longer go. $26 plus tip for a kids haircut! Never again!
