I went to this school with apprehension.but this young man Nicco Mancusi did such an amazing job on my hair.for the first time someone cut my hair and styled it the way I wanted. SHOUT OUT TO NICCO!

Abusive workplace and incompetent owners. I'd like to give my money to the students but knowing who runs this place, I wouldn't ever go back.

EDIT: Have Rob reach out to me DIRECTLY if he wants smoke but I doubt he wants to fire walk with me considering he does all his big-man talk behind closed doors like the coward he is. C'mon now, whoever runs this account knows EXACTLY what I mean and so will the rest of Winnipeg.

I drive by the school daily so decided to give it a shot when I was looking for a new stylist. I was thoroughly impressed with my services from Julie. She took great attention to my wavy hair and I’m so happy with my cut and colour.

I think this was my best visit yet! I was in for my first ever professional color treatment for highlights and Sonia was wonderful!

I felt like Kassidy really understood what I wanted to be done with my hair, as well as how to cut it based on my hair type and texture. I felt really comfortable in the chair with her, I love how my hair turned out and the whole experience was above my expectations!

Julie always does an amazing job, literally received compliments on my highlights on a vacation from a master colourist. Also received a treatment from Trinity, a current student- she did an amazing job and was a very attentive listener, can’t recommend her enough!

Kayla was great and very professional. My hair turned out better this time than last time as I’m lightening it slowly. I love the new building. The greeters were also very helpful. Great experience. Than you.

Liam did an excellent job and I am soooo pleased with my hair! He is very personable and I absolutely had the best afternoon. This was a complimentary service - and I am so impressed, I booked another appointment in 6 weeks time (right before Liam graduates). I am sure that Liam will have a very successful career.

The environment was very welcoming. Sonya Sinclair did my hair and she was very professional and made sure that I was always comfortable. She explained everything she was doing and she told me about all the products she was using. She was very kind! I would recommend Aveda to anyone.

I was initially overwhelmed by sounds and smells when I walked in.this is a very busy location. That said, the staff and students were wonderful and helpful. My sensory overload melted away. My student stylist Alanna was FABULOUS! She was helpful, patient and thorough. Her instructors were doting and knowledgeable. I walked out feeling refreshed and fancy. Thank you Aveda.

First time to get a balayage and saw that they offer reasonable rates. Overall I really liked it. Very food service, atmosphere is cozy. Though I didn’t quite get the hair that I wanted which is mostly because I have very dark hair. But overall I like my look and will definitely come back.

My service with Kaitlin was very enjoyable. She was very personable and explained the process as we went along. She was very professional with me and her educators and was open to receiving their input. I look forward to my next service with her.

Aveda is a great school and the place to go for all your hair and beauty needs at great prices. Their products are all vegan based and good to your hair. The staff are always pleasant as are the students. You walk out of there feeling good and looking terrific. You should go!

Julia was charismatic, professional, and very educational. She took the time to explain all of the products she used and the processes she was using and kept it entertaining as she did. It was a very enjoyable experience

Jullie is absolutely amazing so good and talented at her job. Very patient and takes her time with you making sure everything is perfect, very friendly and easy going listens to what you have to say and gives good recommendations! I'm so happy with my hair without a doubt I'll definitely be booking with her everytime! I had sucha good service at aveda nothing bad to say at all everyone there seems so positive and friendly it's sucha good environment to be in! They also offer you tea, coffee or water and many other services if needed! Highly recommend going here!

Navjot done my hair and she did greet job today. They are very professional and follow each and every step for hair for instance First she did head massage ‍️ then wash my hair after that she cut my hair amazingly. Lastly blow dry my hair. You guys also have to visit to take best services

Jennifer was friendly, calm, and professional. She asked several questions regarding my hair care to help me determine how to take better care of my hair. My haircut turned out well and her instructor was quite helpful too. I’d definitely recommend Aveda for your hair care needs.

I've gone to Aveda around 4-5 times now and every time with someone new yet always a great result! Despite me being unsure of what I want, they always manage to ask the right questions and figure out something that will work well for me; leaving me always satisfied!
For low costs, brilliant cuts, and amazing personalities, Aveda is somewhere I'll always recommend!

Always greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Smiles through the masks! The salon has a very clean and professional atmosphere. I get my hair done at the salon by an educator, my hair looks fantastic. Finally! They are so up to date with styles and technique. Highly recommend.

I love the Aveda Institute on Rorie! Always a great experience, from the scalp massage to the hair wash to the final result, I've never been disappointed in a cut I've received there. The instructor's are fabulous in guiding students and ensuring the cut is done expertly. Love them!

Fantastic service. They follow all covid protocols and everything was on time and great. I keep going back.

Great value for professional hair cuts/style. The students can be a bit slow, but it is much more affordable than other salons. They use all Aveda products. The teachers supervise and assist in a hands on way if the student gets off track. They will keep your color on file, but each student will try to figure it out first and then confirm with the computer to make sure you end up with the right mix.

I love my haircut that I received from Julie. She seems to get my hair. In this time I also appreciated the extra steps Aveda has in place to to ensure it was a safe experience. I do look forward to the days when I can enjoy a cup of tea again

My wife's hair was done by student Clarissa, she was very focused on detail which is important for short hair cuts.she took her time and had a light touch. She knew exactly what to do with little input from her teacher.

I had a great first visit! I was really impressed with all of the safety/cleaning measures they have in place right now. I felt very safe. Asami did an awesome job with my hair! I will definitely be back!

I recently had made an appointment to get a hair cut as it it been 7 months. Had a trim done by Jullie and it was good. What wasn't good was when I went to pay I was told I was being charged a $5.00 sanitation fee. First off. I was never informed of this 'new' fee when I booked the hair cut. I have had hair appointments booked before so they had my email on file.second.if this was something they felt they needed to impose.why wasn't I given the opportunity to decline at the time of booking. I buy my groceries and they clean the counter in front of me and they do not charge me a surcharge of $5.00 for sanitation! Ridiculous. I was told also that they would be putting the $5.00 sanitation fee somewhere in the cost of the appointment as of August. I work in retail and if we imposed a surcharge of $5.00 for every customer that came through bc I cleaned the area they came in contact with it would not fly. This is a cash grab and I'm sorry but it's totally not necessary to be imposing. Retail outfits and any place of business should not be allowed to be allowed to be doing this to customers. If you paid for gas and they added a $5.00 cleaning fee bc they have to wipe the pumps would you be ok with that? Most likely not. Love Aveda products but will not be paying for something all of us have to do in our every day jobs. Don't price gouge loyal customers. $5.00 per person times how many clientele for every hair cut or service done.that amounts to a ton of money! Sorry.but Aveda.you got this one wrong. I only hope you make it right. We all have to do our part to keep people safe in our working environment but it should be on the clients dime!

Always a good experience here! Today Jin did a great job with root touch up and styling, as I asked for braids, and they looked great!

As always, the service here was fantastic. My (student) stylist, Raquel was friendly, knowledgeable, and confident, and gave me exactly the color (root touchup) and style I asked for. They were very conscientious in sanitizing, and I felt very safe, with the distancing btwn other clients too! I will continue to enjoy this establishment!

Exceeded my expectations in sanitization, I would not totally agree if it costs $5 per person if profiting from sanitizing is not the motive. Agree with the charge but would be more moral if it was $2 or $3. The student was pleasant and I took the COVID test before coming in to protect all. My experience was pleasant. The staff are working really hard and I appreciate all they do, hands down the most friendliest front staff I've seen! Would recommend to friends and family and cannot wait for my hair to grow again and visit you guys lol

I needed my hair done almost a month before everything shut down. Now a month and a 1/2 later.boy was I glad Salons opened. I was still a bit apprehensive to go. It was nothing to worry about there at all. The salon was immaculately clean. They have moved stations around lots and lots of distance between chairs. Oh and Michael is Awesome! Ask him about his Money Highlights, he is a master at what he does. I left there feeling like a Goddess.

The Aveda Experience is always something I look forward to. Yes it is a school and yes you may get an inexperienced student however the Educator is always around to provide a guiding hand to your cut or color. As I have experienced over many visits, the more time the students have at the school the better the cut and color and the time spent in the chair. It can be a long visit when it is the student's first few cuts. I have learned to be patient and use the parking app for extra time if needed. And my attitude whatever happens in the chair my hair will grow back. I have only had to have it re-do once. They do aim to please. It is a very busy school with lots of activity and noise and music. They are friendly and the facilities are up to date and clean. The reception is very helpful and inviting. The school also offers Aveda products for purchase or to sample. And of course the services provided are inexpensive. It is a well run school if you are looking to become a stylist with Aveda credentials. Give it a try you may get hooked by the Aveda experience and find yourself a new stylist.
