Worst meal EVER! Can’t justify even one star rating.

“Regular” size butter chicken included 8 tiny, overcooked, HARD, pieces of chicken for $17.99!
Had to go back for rice which, was NOT included! Hamburger take out size for $5!
And…Naan bread was burnt!

Returned for a refund.
Will not order from here again.

Why I'm not rating it higher is due to it's lack of character like many other Indian restaurants. The seating is very basic and not very clean at all times. The owner tries to persuade you to buy all items in the shop.

I think they can do much better.

One of the best restaurants in winnipeg, Quality is their top priority and i recommend all of you guys to have a visit.

Their lamb biryani with veg raita on the side is really awesome. It's totally worth taking the detour on my drive from Toronto to Vancouver. Am now super excited for the tea. Mr. Rao serves each and every customer with undying passion and enigmatic perseverance. No doubt, the time I spent inside every minute people were flocking to pick up mobile orders as well as ordering food to go. Simple and great value for money place. Now I've a happy place in winnipeg too.

I was very uncomfortable because the owner was very rude to the staff working tbere. There was one girl and I'm pretty sure she was new and the owner was just cursing and humiliating her all the time. That makes me feel very uncomfortable and bad. I'm pretty sure they kept the tip as well.

We always prefer this place for sweets but everytime you visit the place the guy at front (maybe he is the owner not sure) always offering more and more sweets even if you don't want to buy, always talking and talking even if you show no interest in the talk.

I'm not a person who gives reviews and all but this last visit was bad really bad, we ordered 3 samosa for the 1st time he gave small portion of chatni with it and we asked for more he said that it's more than enough for 3 samosas then my husband didn't ask for more and then he started saying he was making fun this is not funnier at all

Then i was going to use washroom for washing my hands he said use it properly and not make a mess there, you can't say this kind of comments to your customer we are not there to make a mess obviously.not gonna visit this place again

I wish I could give negative star. First the guy talks too much. If I asked for 1 lbs sweet but he gave me 1.5 lbs but when I asked he said dont worry just take it. It is the best sweet in town. Only his store has the best swwet everywhere else is frozen sweets. I felt uncomfortable talking to the guy. If you have a choice please go somewhere else.

I ordered 12 samosas and they were burnt. Even filling inside was burnt as well. Had to throw them away. I would never order again.

Went to order samosa and paji suggested for Gajrella barfi.bit reluctant first but it was damn amazing.taste like Indian Punjabi flavor.must try

Worst ever experience in this place. I asked phone 1lb sweet, they charged over $16. When I asked why it is so much for one lb. They said it's weigh little bit extra. Just think 1lb is $8.99 and little bit extra is over $16. This is the 2nd time happened with me. And this owner lost lots of customers because of this idiotic strategy. My whole Bengali community hates this place, though the name of the restaurant is Bengali sweets.

Best place for indian food and biryani lovers…if you want yo taste authentic indian food mist visit this place

You will not find better massala jalebi in Winnipeg. I leave Rosser MB to go for this. Call ahead and they will tell you when a fresh batch is available.

The quality of the food was amazing, i savoured every bite.the owner was very hospitable and informative about the business, would recommend going.they prepared their food on the spot very quickly, as well.

Horrible service.
Ordered a large butter chicken for $25.49 + tax. It came with 6 pieces of tiny chicken bits and ALL sauce. Called to discuss this with them because I was disappointed and all the man did was scream and argue. Tiny portions for the price.would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant.

Yes their Samosas are good but be vary of the tactics used to force sell their stuff. Also when you get anything by weight make sure that you note the amount that comes up on the weighing scale. On two occasions, the owner showed me something but on both occasions he charged me 2 to 5 dollars more. And then the owner is quick to pick up a confrontation as well.

Hey I bought tandoori chicken which was very bad taste beacuse i think chicken was too old and vooked bavk to back lots of time and it was very hard to take a bite from chicken bone. Very bad and disgusting. Guys be careful.

Their service is terrible, unhygienic, we ordered 30 samosas, they put in random cardboard box, not even paper inside.just dumped them inside and see pictures.
I never recommend this place, looks like they don't care about cleaning and specially in Covid-19 times, even we ordered way before time, on pickup time we have to wait 30 minutes, very poor customer service. Not happy at all.

Be careful what the amount that you see on the scale because the owner will overcharge you. They are just monopolizing the situation. South needs another samosa player in the market

If there was zero rating I would love to give them that because we ordered chole bhature from there and it was so bad n horrible in taste than we went there to ask them if they can do anything about that but the owner said no they are so perfect there is nothing wrong in it and he told us you might have different taste or flavours that was so disappointed with zero customer service from owner. And taste was so bad than we asked him to take food back or dump it there but he did not even do that and asked us you can throw that away outside of their store or somewhere else. I will never go back their and for sure I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The worst place for time management. I always call ahead of time, 30 mins, if I want to have a pickup and it is never ready. The only start making my order when I come there even after repeatedly telling them to please have it ready and it never it. Extremely infuriating.

Best place to visit for international students. The samosa on the USI event were delicious and I am looking forward to try out more dishes they have in their store!

The Samosas were excellent. The food was fantastic. I had the kebabs in gravy. The chicken was blended and spiced very well and the gravy was this yogurt based sauce that complemented the dish superbly. I also tried several of the deserts but they just were not for me. Someone who grew up eating this style of sweets would most likely enjoy them. The owner was in and his service and care for his customers was of high quality. He wants a good reputation and he earns it. His kitchen was quick with our order and the food was nice and hot. I plan to eat here again.

The restaurant is great, i like the sweets, chole bhature is best, and chiken tikka i will recommend to try it.and also owner is great he is very good with customers. Really appreciate that and recommend to visit atleast once.

The guy forces you to pay only by cash just so he can rip off government. Also when you ask him to put 1 lb sweet he will intentionally put more and charge alot more.

Bengals sweets restaurant is in South of the city on Pembina highway and one of the few east Indian places which sell a fair quality of sweets but it's not the taste you can get in Brampton or surrey. I ended up buying from Brampton even though I had to pay extra.

I tried their samosa on that day which they were cooking fresh but due to bad smell of oil I had to throw them away. Quality and Taste matters alot and both were missing.

Two bad experiences within two weeks. Would never go again.

In both the experiences, they weighed more sweets than what we ordered then were not happy to remove the extra weigh. It felt like they just want to get rid of their food. Moreover, sweets were not good and didn't taste fresh.

First time they said their payment machine is not working so they only accept cash, second time they said they only accept debit card/cash.

Guys, if you value your money and self respect then don't visit here. They make us feel like we are taking food for free from there. Did not like cashier s gesture at all.

I just moved in south Winnipeg, and wanted to eat something restaurant food. Its my bad i didn't read reviews. Expensive, bad quality food, force you to pay cash, bad smell inside, no one wearing mask and many more things. "NEVER GO THERE"

Ordered rasmalayi actually it wasn’t rasmalayi it was rasgulle packed in rasmalayi box tasted bad and were so hard to eat complete waste of money. Never wanna go there

Increasing price and decreasing food quality is one way to make more profits. However that will ultimately kill the business in the long run. This restaurant used to be one of my go to place but not anymore. All sweet's are now low quality. I got some sweets few days ago and it was prepared maybe weeks back and not eatable at all. I would love to do business with you but don't want to give you my money for some food which might make me sick. I was even charged extra 1$ just for a paper box. I know COVID lockdown was hard for restaurant business but that does not justify this kind of business practice. It was hard for the customer too.

The food once I tried was good, but that did not happen again. The sweets are not cooked properly and most of them would have been there some days, as I got even the laddoo hard as a rock.

Most of these stars are about value. The food in general is medium to good quality, with very nice flavour and not as oily as some others. The Navratan Korma should be avoided but the Samosas are awesome.

They have great samosa for the price! I think the restaurant may need some renovation and get a new interior look to attract more people in the long run. Lights should be ON, not sure why they were mostly off.

Was disappointed. We ordered Pani Puri. It was $7 and no way it should more than $4. Each Jilebi $2. Service was 3/10. Would not recommend.

Just had loads of fish pakoras from Bengali sweets along with their complimentary raita/chutney as well as gulab jamuns in this beautiful rainy weather and as always highly impressed by their food as well as their service. Love how they treat their customers, a review right from the heart!

Don't forget to try the samosas, chaat, halwa poori, seekh kabab, fish pakora, tandoori fish in fact everything

Sweets looked stale & its overpriced compared to any other indian Sweet shop in Winnipeg. Instead of upselling they simply added extra weight to the order & just added it to the bill. If a customer asks for 1 pound, give them 1 pound not 1.5, Also dont just keep the change especially if its not dine in.

Only went there once & will never go again.

Bought sweets from this place, one of the best place in Winnipeg to buy indian sweets. Very friendly staff, quick service & quality food.

This is not a Bangladeshi sweet shop, though they name sounds like so. As days pass it seems the store stays the same, very minimal update. Once upon a time they had the only good selection of sweets. How times have changed. If you are an international student I'll advise you to stay away from this guy's the pay very little considering the amount of work you'll have to do.

One of the best place in Winnipeg for Indian Sweets and food, quick and friendly service, the food quality is consistent too, ive been to this place more than 10 times in last year alone.

So I go ask for 1 pound of mithai, they give me more and charge me more. When I ask why, they gave me some bull answer. They do this all the time. Food is ok, nothing amazing.

This place has some really good samosas and sweets at very good prices. Must visit this place for some amazing indian food.

Had the Biryani - excellent stuff! And of course the sweets, fresh gulab jamun, are certainly worth it. I would recommend this as one of the better Indian cuisine restaurants in the city.
