Soon after a year of installing my Barkman firepit (bought through Rona), one stone cracked. When asked for a replacement here's what the explanation was from Barkman operational excellence Manager.

You all can decide if it makes sense as only one stone cracked. Pic attached.

I was made aware of the cracked block. Even though it is still within a year, sometimes the bricks will crack after exposure to rapidly changing temperatures, especially in our climate. This can be mitigated by lining the interior of the firepit with firebrick, which will help to absorb and dissipate the heat from a fire. Unfortunately, this is not covered by warranty.

We recently purchased a fire pit from Barkman for our back yard.it looks great and works really well. Very happy with the service and the product.

Beware that Barkman Concrete Ltd.has a manufacturing quality issues. Defective product they sell from their yard in Steinbach as “mistint”. Stay away from that scam. It is skillfully arranged pallets with decent looking top layer but everything else is a garbage that can not be used. In our case, Barkman admitted responsibility and agreed to take back this “defective mistint”. After this unfortunate incident, they promised to take care of the customer but it never happened. Year after, I contacted their sales manager Tim Fast and his response was: “oh well, there is nothing we can do…”. Do not trust them. It is NOT the same Barkman that used to be before. You will not get what they tell you or what you see at their booth at the trade shows. I would not be surprised if there is the same issues with brand new product purchased through their dealers. I took my business to them and still have a gravel on my driveway. What a waste of time.

Best product to use! The service and products are both superior. Thank you again for both.

Anytime the question of a patio or driveway comes up, the answer is automatically Barkman. Great product selection and quality.

We completely remodeled our exterior with Barkman products and love everything. Unfortunately we are having a hard time getting any type of service. As part of our yard Reno we purchased 5 large plant pots with self water system for our backyard and have called Barkman 3 times to talk to someone about how to set them up and emailed as well with no response ever. We went on the website and all it says is to refer to the instructions which we never received, or talk to a Barkman rep. A little frustrating after spending almost $700 per plant pot.
