Barrier Bay Resort

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon and have absolutely zero complaints. The owners are super friendly and welcoming, not to mention fun to sit and talk with. We stayed in Whisky Jack and couldn’t have asked for a nicer cabin rental. It was nicely decorated, came with everything we needed to cook good meals, and was very clean inside and out. Having access to the canoes, kayaks, bicycles and more as part of our stay was a great feature. On our last day when our car battery died, they didn’t hesitate to let us borrow their battery pack and charge it up before we had to leave. We will definitely be back.

Friends introduced my husband and I to this spot and we’ve been coming every year since! We look forward to our weekend away every year. We have always had such an amazing time, absolutely 0 complaints. The folks who run Barrier Bay Resort are so lovely, they make sure each visit is as special as the last! It’s cozy and quiet, the pool is always clean and warm, and there’s so many amenities included that it’s hard to decide between doing an activity or just reading and enjoying the peace and quiet. I 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway!

Never stayed here only went here to get my coffee in the morning, but the staff was really friendly and welcoming. Also best coffee in that Whiteshell area from the stand outside

A gorgeous backdrop to an amazing weekend retreat. Our cabin, the Chickadee Haven was so quaint and the perfect size for us. The owners were simply a delight, so helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to heading there again next fall.

Barrier Bay Resort is paradise in Whiteshell Provincial Park and was the perfect introduction to this area. Swallow's Nest - Cabin 3 was cozy, spotless, and had a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed canoeing during the day (which is one of the activities that's complimentary for resort guests) and fires in the evening. The resort is also reasonably close (anywhere from about 10 minutes to an hour drive) to explore the breathtaking views of several hiking trails, including the Whiteshell River Bridge/Sturgeon Falls, Pine Point Rapids, Pinawa Dam Ruins, McGillivray Falls, and Hunt Lake (to West Hawk Lake). DJ and Erica were wonderful hosts, and I can't wait to go back! ️

Cabin #6 was super. Nice clean and cozy! Amazing screened in porch to sit and relax and have supper in. Erica met us and was super friendly and helpful!

This was our second stay at Barrier Bay Resort and we absolutely loved it. We have already booked again for next year. It's such an amazing place to just escape from the craziness that is the world today and relax. The owners are incredible and two of the kindest people you'll ever meet. I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is. I would highly recommend it.

Our stay was amazing and we had so much fun. The cabin #6 was sooo cute and cozy! Everything worked well and it was very clean. They also have complimentary bikes, paddle boats etc so many options to choose from! The owners were very friendly and nice. Their customer service is top notch! Would definitely recommend this place:)

Wonderful escape not even a two-hours drive from Winnipeg. We absolutely adored our time in Cabin 6, “Chickadee Haven”. Wood fire place, jacuzzi tub, stunning view, couldn’t have asked for more! The owners are incredible friendly and loan out gear to help you maximize your enjoyment of the winter wonderland they are situated in. Would recommend this place in a heart beat! The cabin was clean, well maintained and all the details were well thought-out. Can’t wait to go back!

Peaceful, relaxing, setting. Everything you could need. A great place to get away from it all. Will definitely return.

We had an amazing stay! DJ and Erica are some of the friendliest people. It was peaceful and quiet. Plus there are some trails nearby and plenty of fun in the water.
